Christmas Horror

Postby Eltharrion » Mon Dec 21, 2015 11:20 pm

Here we go, here we go, here we GO! Winter exploration is here! Time to have fun at holidays! WOOO!
Can't wait to see what awaits us.

...Soo, those in vote of that being menacing say "aye", and those who were immediately reminded Nightmare before Christmas say "ey".

Aye-ey.

The bunny problem will continue in the next month :) This is a holiday special, which is a short, side story after your requests.

Kinda makes you wonder if we should set up guards... Monsters, thieves and everything in between just seems to wonder into our town unnoticed on a daily basis.

But guards would be so easily distracted. Something shiny...a juicy steak...a yummy carrot... a sweet ball of yarn... etc.

What we need is a whapping stick to swat away pesky intruders. A nice willow one so it leaves marks!
Thatl' teach em good! :]

But everyone who's come has either been too big, too fast or too alien for us to whack with a stick...

Get them to choose their own stick? Psychological torment?

And they are never too big to whap with a stick! Just get bigger stick...

[OOC with apologies to Clement Clarke Moore and fans of the original]

T'was the night before Feralmas, when all through the house
Not a feral was stirring, not even a mouse.
The stockings were hung by the chimney with care,
In hopes that some shinies soon would be there.

The kittens were nestled all snug in their beds,
While visions of shinies danced in their heads.
And Jan-Jan in her hammock, and Daven in his cap,
Had just settled their brains for a long winter’s nap.

When out from the woods there arose such a clatter,
we sprang from the bed to see what was the matter.
Away to the window we flew like a flash,
Tore open the shutters and threw up the sash.

The moon on the breast of the new-fallen snow
Gave the lustre of mid-day to objects below.
When, what to my wondering eyes should appear,
But a miniature sleigh, and eight tinny reindeer.

With a little old driver, so lively and quick,
We knew in a moment it must be St Nick.
More rapid than eagles his coursers they came,
And he whistled, and shouted, and called them by name!

"Now Dasher! now, Dancer! now, Prancer and Vixen!
On, Comet! On, Cupid! on, on Donner and Blitzen!
To the top of the porch! to the top of the wall!
Now dash away! Dash away! Dash away all!"

As dry leaves that before the wild hurricane fly,
When they meet with an obstacle, mount to the sky.
So up to the tower-top the coursers they flew,
With the sleigh full of shinies, and St Nicholas too.

And then, in a twinkling, we heard on the roof
The prancing and pawing of each little hoof.
As we drew in our heads, and were turning around,
Down the chimney St Nicholas came with a bound.

He was dressed all in fur, from his head to his foot,
And his clothes were all tarnished with ashes and soot.
A bundle of shinies he had flung on his back,
And he looked like a peddler, just opening his pack.

His eyes-how they twinkled! his dimples how merry!
His cheeks were like roses, his nose like a cherry!
His droll little mouth was drawn up like a bow,
And the beard of his chin was as white as the snow.

The stump of a pipe he held tight in his teeth,
And the smoke it encircled his head like a wreath.
He had a broad face and a little round belly,
That shook when he laughed, like a bowlful of jelly!

He was chubby and plump, a right jolly old elf,
And we laughed when we saw him, in spite of ourself!
A wink of his eye and a twist of his head,
Soon gave usto know we had nothing to dread.

He spoke not a word, but went straight to his work,
And filled all the stockings, then turned with a jerk.
And laying his finger aside of his nose,
And giving a nod, up the chimney he rose!

He sprang to his sleigh, to his team gave a whistle,
And away they all flew like the down of a thistle.
But I heard him exclaim, ‘ere he drove out of sight,
"Happy Feralmas to all, and to all a good-night!"

The epic show down of the Snow Forts is basicly the best things ever since the layered bush scene.

It's a battle for the ages. Until we see that ice creature that is. Then we become begrudging allies in a story of epic proportions. Although both the alliance and the story will probably not last beyond a few hours/days.

The minions got me a mug...Number 1 Boss. I...I'm touched. I mean, you guys are never around when I need henchmen, but you come through when it counts. Q.Q

...but seriously, you guys need to show up sometimes. It's hard to be intimidating when my entire work force takes so much paid vacation time. We'll sort out some details in the new year, you rascals.

If that thing breaks my mug, I am going to be very, very cross.
