I'm debating a variation of a Drow concept that got me through a Forgotten Realms Drow campaign setting. Raeth-zar would be a commoner by birth, and a male consort (to someone of rank) by training; specialist at massage and the concoction of oils/scents/lotions, pretty much what one would expect from someone that has spent his whole life groomed to pleasure the lady he was indentured to... and trained political assassin. For what better tool than some non-descript commoner, usually unseen by those of power, and completely disposable? So in addition to his skill with making essential oils (and the like) he is also trained in poisons and toxins, slight of hand, distraction, and disguise. Of course I don’t plan on any of that being applied to any practical purpose, Raeth doesn’t want to volunteer to be someone’s tool again. So really he’s just a guy that works hard, stays quiet, and knows how to concoct oils and other sensual mineral/botanical products.
Not sure if that will fly or not, I'm used to lofting up lead balloons, but I am hopeful. And flexible of course! So long as I can follow Jai'byrd around like the love-smitten-kitten that I am.
