Darkest Mountain -1114-

Shana waved to her bosses and introduced the 3 monks as natives of the mountain range. Shana didn't even remember what their names were or even if they bothered to tell them. To her, they were merely convenient people. She moved close enough to keep the monks out of earshot as she gave her opinion:

Anyway, we wanted to ask you guys if we were taking their offer for free lodging or not. They seem harmless enough, better than sitting exposed out here. Violence seems unnecessary but they don't look like anything we can't handle if it comes down to it.

((eep, somehow missed this post))
"Oi, Brother...This is Dorje and his...erm...students I think? They say the land is too sick for our kind, the Dolkafar, and offered to take us to their Monastery." Paqu would get closer to Gual, "Might be demons hanging about...you notice anything?" Sasha would stay standing with the dead ram still hanging on her back, waiting for a command.

Asilly would look at the group with paqu looking over them as he told them that the place was sick to the drow the would cause concern for asilly as she would look to the group the monks. "Of course it is sick for our kind I how I can tell the mana in this location is in a state of decay there only two things that can cause something like this and well..... listen take us to your Monastery please." She asked them as she can feel it and it causing her hair to stand up on the back of her neck.

"Demons? No, nothing like that." Now that got Gaul a little edgy... even tho they have a cure for such a thing now. Getting sick out here wouldn't be fun... it was a very long way back home with a potential chance of turning into such a monster if one wasn't prepared for said seed.

The monks seemed to hold Asiliy with the regard of Val. Bowing to the courtesan. "I'm Dorge. And these are my samanera my lady Asiliy. If you may follow us. We can take you to better sleeping quarters then the ruins of the old world." It seemed the monks and locals avoided the areas where dark elves used to live. Out of Respect or fear Gaul couldn't tell. But it was telling that the goblins didn't want to stay here at all.

Gathering his horse and supplies. Gaul followed the men towards the human village up the mountian passes. Where at least the place had a hut made for someone their size if they ever had dark elf company.

It was plain and rather borning. Nothing in this village screamed anything other then mountain folk.

Shana observed the village of goblins, they were...utterly average. Each and every one of them dressed and acted without any particularly auspicious movement. Shana was pleased that she would enjoy peace of mind around ghsse one's, though she did feel somewhat awkward for being so suspicious in the first place. Whatever dangers lie in the mountains, it is likely quite annoying. If the natives steer clear, we may have to exchange blows for any prize we hope to receive.

Paqu let out a soft groan, "MGhmm...I'd almost prefer demons to the alternative..." he whispered. He clicked his tongue and the wolf would follow with their dinner still on her back, now with Paqu as well.

Paqu would dismount from Sasha once they got into the village, walking alongside her. "We'll need water for our mounts, and a fire to cook dinner." he said taking the ram off of Sasha's back. He didn't want to say a clean and quite place to gut and skin the ram, but that was part of it.

Asilly was looking about the area of the place the monks called home as they lead the group to there monsitray taking notice of the hut there was the size for dark elf or drow. "Tell me Dorge what do you know of the dark elfs and to ask what kind of contact havw you had with them?" she asked him seeing that they havw some knowledge of the dark elfs but it being up a question for her thought is why would the dark elf bother with this place?

Gaul was thankful to see the men here didn't ask for the drow's to disarm and hand over their weapons. Never put your trust in locals outside of your own backyard. An unarmed man was a defenseless one... Besides that no one really bothered the elves other then some curious glances... so it was very possible that there were indeed around here.

This place did have the feel of Mana around here... but what could be?

"Lets get something to eat... I'm starving." Gaul admitted, as he tried to measure more about their situation. He obviously told them to be on alert. These were seasoned relic hunters after all.

"The dark elves are our leaders. Lady Xyannai, and our lord Ercoc are the head of our temple. They rule over the land until the barren wastelands, from where you come from. You will likely see them soon, I will take you further up the mountian to the grand temple if you so desire."

Shana was startled by one of the monk's replies. Whoa, wait wait, dark elves? Dark elves on the surface this far out? How is that possible? I thought all of our kind was driven underground... This was a discovery of enormous significance to the underworld and they spoke of it so casually. How is it that anything mana bearing survived up here for so long?

Paqu got to work right away, gutting and skinning the ram, cutting off meat from it for the others to cook, Sasha would sit next to Paqu until he removed the heart, tossing it to the wolf who would catch it and walk away now to eat her treat in peace. He'd cut off a meat filet, handing it off to someone, "I like mine medium well."

"I guess its not impossible to think there are others... it was a big kingdom after all. The elf kingdoms made it after all. We were the ones to choose the underground. Who is to say others couldn't go in another direction." Granted most of those clans probably ended up being dead.

The group didn't have to wait long before they were sent off to meet with the dark elves and the little kingdom they have cut out of the world for themselves.

When they awoke they were greeted by a small troop of monks to escort them back to the grand temple. It was strange for Gaul to see all of these shaven headed embries waiting for them, and one of them had a weapon that he could see. "Do you think they have knives?" The suss said as he clipped his armor pieces back into place.

One of the leading Embries braved himself and walked past Paqu's old wolf to deliver a message to the Lady Courtesan. "Lady Asiliy. I have a message for you." The robbed man kneeled down to the woman and handed her a parchment. "We have also acquired steeds to those who don't have any."

The steeds he was talking about where white horses, with pure golden eye's. These were no normal bred horses... And Gaul wasn't sure if he wanted to ride such a strange beast.

Well, I suppose you have a point. Shana agreed with Gaul in his assessment, though she was still in awe. The survivability of life was an astounding thing at times, this fact had brought more than a few headaches in her life as an assassin. She was surprised that others having a strong grip on life could ever be favorable for her. I can't imagine that a people could exist peacefully without knives at least. Perhaps they know martial arts? I bad head that certain goblin tribes pride themselves on their mastery of unarmed combat. though Shana had never found killing such combatants especially challenging.

When she was presented a golden eyed horse, she flinched, this beast was suspicious. Clearly it was magical in nature, but it was no damwere she had ever encountered. I thank you for the offer, but may we ask if this creature has any special features we should be aware of?

Paqu woke with Gaul and was putting his own armor on. When asked if they had knives Paqu would rap his knuckles on the back of his armor where his scar would be. "I always assume everyone has a knife, especially goblins." He would put his armor on and get ready. Sasha would stare at the Emberi, licking her chops but making no noise or movement towards him, just watching him carefully. Paqu listened and looked over at the horses provided. He would say nothing as he went over to Sasha and started putting her saddle on for riding. He looked at the monks with suspicion too. "What do ya think girl? Smell danger?" The wolf would just look at him.

Asilly looked at the monks that has come to them along with the horses getting little sleep last night as wating to meet with the dark elf of the place she would take the letter from the monks hand and would start to look over it as she looks at the monks for a moment. "Tell me how long have this dark elf been living here and if possible what have they been doing here?" She asked them.
