While I do like the Illhar'dro masked cavalry that you marked as possibly mercenaries for the pure look of it, I lean toward the Kyorl the most. They may lack some variety in personal flair, but they make their wearers look clean, professional, and tough. Possibly even a little scary at times. Pure utility, every bit has its reason, even the lighter wear of the Inquisitors. You get the impression that armor is made for the person and there is no skimping, even if you're a commoner Crusader.
Sharen get that feel to a degree admittedly as far as professional, serious army goes. And I do like the variety of the Sarghress at times, shows that militia "bring what you got" feel that a large army sorta necessitates, but the Kyorl really cement that look of Templars going to war really nicely.
