Name: Nin Cherrai Val Beldrobbaen
Race: Drowolath
Sex: Female
Age: 134
Weapons: Long sword, a dirks and a mace.
Mana: basic mana and shadow.
Armor: Bel plate armor
Other Equipment: she has 100 ada but usually only carries 12 ada pieces with her.
Clan: Val'Beldrobbaen

Beginning City: Chel

Back ground: Nin is the youngest in her family and the only one that has a different father then the rest of her siblings. Because of this, she is picked on and treated harshly by her brothers and sisters who use that as an excuse..
When Nin was old enough she was sent to the Orthorbbae to get a proper education. She enjoyed her time at the Orthorbbae, she was away from her faintly and made some good friends. After her stay in the Orthorbbae, Nin's interest in the armed forces grew and when she was old enough she joined the Bel army.
Her favorite classes were the one on military, history or tactics didn't matter to her. After basic training and a year of serves, it wasn't the life she was expecting. She should have remembered from her schooling that the Bels were never really a military might and more was passive and observant. Back then, she was so young and naive, she occultly once considered joining the Sarghress, that was the kind of life style she dreamed of.
One of her first jobs in the military was guarding a caravan that was attacked by some desperate bandits, it was then she saw what battle was truly like. They drove off the bandits but Nin life changed. Shes never seen so much blood and death. It wasn't enough to chase her out of the army but she never looked forward to any combat or war ever again and all fantasies of joining the Sarghress quickly vanished.
When Nin was 60 years old she met her first serious mate, a male named Corvas. Between them they had a two boys. Nin loved them and raised them both with Corvas. She wasn't like most Val ladies and preferred to have Corvas around, he was a good male role model for the boys and handy to have around the house on top of that.
When the riots happened during the Nid war (or shortly before the Nid war). Nin was assigned with a group to find and escort some Bel nobles that were outside the fortress and trapped behind 'enemy lines'. They avoided all of the most violent areas there scouts reported and found the nobles. They were tired and frightened but alight for the time being. They're were some small arguments with one of the noble ladies, Nin and her Sergeant were trying to tell her that they have to leave their caravan behind because it will slow them down too much.
When she returned she was ordered to kill all of the slaves. At the time she didn't know a slave attempted to kill a Val but she did what she was ordered and purged her clan of any slave she could.
The Nid war was a game breaker in her history books. Never in all of her studies have she read non combatants getting slaughtered in such a fashion. She honestly wonders if this will change the rules of combat forever. Not only that but during that conflict whole generation of girls from her clan are dead. Things were not looking good for her.

Description: Nin is a tall but lean lady with short raven black hair and a white smile.

Height: 6 '2'
Weight: 200
Eye Color: Dark blue
Hair Color: Black
Personality: Nin was once a young and eager solider turned wise veteran. She values life and likes seeing friends when she can. She prefers the simple things in life and stays far away as she can from politics.

Name: Nyulan'liir Ill'hardro

Race: Ver'drowendar

Age: 58

Equipment:
-1 set of light sealing armor -- lightweight and flexible at the cost of physical protection
-Several sets of spidersilk clothing -- all several years old and beginning to show signs of wear.
-1 knife -- delicate in appearance, but scalpel sharp. More tool than weapon
-1 mace -- ornately wrought, and of good construction that belies it's age
-Engineer's tools
-Heavy spidersilk gloves, black.
-'Scorpion' hair golem. Ny has what appears to be a silver hair ornament in the shape of a stylized scorpion seated at the base of her main braid, with the braid itself forming the 'stinger'. In fact, the barrette is attached to an elaborate, flexible length of chain woven into the braid, ending in a hidden blade. This allows the braid to be lashed about as a weapon of last resort.
-'Adikki', a small intricate golem shaped as some kind of spider or insect, with a single large gem 'eye'. It perches on Ny's armor, appearing to be jewelry, and responds to simple commands like 'fetch'. For all it's workmanship, though, it is still only a clever toy, and Ny's treatment of it as a pet is all eccentricity.
-Around 50 ada

Magic: Golem Engineering. No innate sorcery, but adept at the more subtle nuances of basic mana manipulation (a side effect of the delicate work involved in her engineer's training)

Beginning city: Chel'el'sussoloth

Clan: Ill'hardro

Background: Ny was born in Val'Raveran, a promising engineer in a bloodline that made a point of cultivating such talent as it's main expertise. She was worked hard from a very young age, and rewarded well for her successes, the favored daughter of her grandmother's favorite heir. This bred considerable jealousy between Ny and her many sisters and female cousins, nearly all of whom were older than her. Her mother, coolly pragmatic golem crafter named Kanti'aliir, encouraged these rivalries, believing it would make them strong and prepare them for the wider world.

Once Ny was old enough to appreciate that she was the favorite, she did not welcome the knowledge or the status -- she enjoyed crafting golems for it's own sake, not as a way of furthering herself within her family's internal politics. As one might suspect, not appreciating that which the other young women in her family coveted did little to improve their opinion of her. As a result of these squabbles, Ny came to prefer the company of the males of the family, who had little quarrel with her as they were 'out of the running' already in terms of the succession game, and in fact might have something to gain in the friendship of a promising pupil such as Nyulan.

Her sole female friend was a distant cousin of another bloodline, Ana'lamara. A summoner-to-be trained in the classical traditions, with both talent and inclination for causing mischief. She was her mother's only daughter, a position Ny envied and which caused Ana to be indulged far more than she would otherwise. Ana's mother was unusually fond of Ny for someone only distantly related to her, and Ny often took advantage of this kindness to take refuge from her sibling quarrels, which only grew fiercer as Nyu'lan grew older and more proficient in her arts, culminating in the sabotage of several of her projects.

But, as the two of them got older, Ana's mischief took on darker overtones, and she herself began to develop a spoiled, malicious streak. Where once she had indulged in pranks that harmed nothing but perhaps one's pride, she developed a penchant for malicious acts of retaliation against those who annoyed or offended her in some way. Ny began to find herself making excuses for her friend's behavior, and her mother, an eminently pragmatic woman, counseled her that Ana'lamara was a liability, whose prospects were limited and that association with her could hinder Nyulan'liir, but she remained stubbornly loyal to Ana.

Ana's rebellion culminated a few years before the present, when Ana'lamara began to dabble in demonic summoning without Nyulan'liir's knowledge... or any of the proper precautions that a Sharen or Vloz'ress would have learned for dealing with demons. She believed that she could further herself by learning workings that her fellow traditional summoners could not. Concerned about what was causing her normally rambunctious friend to become withdrawn and secretive, working on her 'own projects' far from the Ill'hardro fortress, Ny took to following her with her small spider-golem Adikki before finally confronting her... unfortunately at a most inopportune time. What Ana'lamara summoned was beyond what she could control, and it devoured her. The thing which had been Ana'lamara went on a rampage which Ny barely escaped and had to be put down by the Kyorl'solenurn. Ana'lamara's identity was denied furiously, as if she had never been an Ill'hardro, but Ny was left tainted by the accident.

As she mourned the loss of her dearest friend, she abruptly realized that her sisters were treating her... differently. Warily. Like she was a time bomb they were afraid of setting off. It scared her -- hatred, jealousy, these things she was used to, but not fear. Ny became something of a recluse, withdrawing from the rest of her clan. Her mother exploited her connections to acquire a suit of Sharen sealing armor, but it did little to ease the fears of her daughters. She spent several years in this uneasy truce, until she heard of the Vloz'Raveran's attack and the subsequent purging of tainted from Val'Raveran. She was no longer welcome here.

She left Val'raveran for Chel'el'sussoloth, where she hoped the presence of the Sharen would make her status as tainted less conspicuous. The difference was astounding, in a city where a substantial portion of the ruling elite was tainted, opposed to just the Vloz living on the edges. Still, Ny's fears were not eased, and she continued as she had in Val'Raveran, keeping to herself and working hard.

Her mother has graciously not cut Ny off, less out of affection than a hope that she might still see a return on what has been invested in her most promising daughter. Though her taint is mild and kept well in check by her armor, it terrifies her. While outwardly she makes a show of treating it as only a mild inconvenience. In private, however, she is given to bemoaning her fate, and she suffers from nightmares which she believes, rightly or wrongly, to be the result of her seed.

Description: Nyulan'liir is tall and lean by drow standards, and tends strongly toward lanky rather than lithe. She wears breeches rather than skirts, a necessity of the mechanic's profession, but the rest of her wardrobe is nothing if not effeminate. Since the incident which left her tainted, she has taken to wearing darker colors, but given her Ill'hardro sense of asthetics, the result is not so much muted anonymity as flamboyant mourning.

Her hair, as pale a silver as can be without being true white, is a complicated updo of loops and coils, culminating in a single long, thick braid that goes past her hips and ends shaded with dark blue dye. Her eyes were once also pale grey, but wears a black veil over their new, red shade.

Eep. I dunno how I misplaced that apostrophe.

What can I do to make it better? (I realize I'm approved, but I'd rather fine-tune until I'm very good rather than just passing.)

Magic: Nether Summoning

Beginning city: Chel'el'sussuloth

Clan:Sharen, subhouse Xyrrai'zestu

Background:Shin'driira was born as the first daughter of a secondary branch of the Xyrrai'zestu. Her mother, Micaranna held a grudge against the current head, due to a certain discussions where Tal'xuess, the De'vess of the house, had imposed her views on how to raise children. Micaranna did not protest, but in fact tried her worst in besting the ambitious De'vess in the matter of raising children.

Shi'ndriira was the first cornerstone to achieve this. She was born of the union of her mother and a moderatedly reputed sharen mana user, of an ancient subhouse with a consistant magical abilities in their bloodlines. For her twin sister, Micaranna picked a daughter of a certain golem maker vassal whom had been reputed to have good skills. Min'diira was the name of the child, which, per sharen tradition became the protector twin of her daughter.

Shi'ndriira, or Shishi, as she was known inside the Xyrrai, was a child who, despite being brought up with the utmost care and detail, bereft of love for the most part, merely being seen as a tool of her mother who would always size her up comparing to the other children of the house. It was to be expected that compared to the older main children of the De'vess, she would have the losing side. It was specially jarring to be compared to Oiloss'lin, the second daughter, only one year older than her.

Shishi for the most part, tried to secure some warmth besides her scolds in the people around her, becoming a chatterbox of a little girl, who alongside Min'diira, bugged elders and youngers alike. Her reactionary attitude to please everyone was notable, as she feared that if she didn't do as told she'd be scolded again like her mother did. Shishi developed a skill as mediator of some of the child quarrels among the group she used to play with in the building of the Xyrrai'zestu, showing a certain degree of diplomacy. Her mother only saw the failure of Shishi to grow a spine, as well as the sucess in being a diplomat, neglecting to realize that her behaviour was because she was needed of affection.

It came a moment where Shish and Min were shipped to Orthorbbae, as per the desires of both the house and her mother. Here, Shishi came out as rather adept in notable fields such as the arts, natural science, tactics and politics, with her own twin having also skills that would suit a golemmaker and a researcher. Shishi, however, fared poorly at combat training, not because her lack of skill, but because she was far too gentle to actually hit without being afraid of hurting someone. Shishi was also always being dragged by the more needy of classmates in doing all sorts of errands, as soon as the figured that the young sharen would never deny aid to someone who pleaded enough.

Her mother was not pleased with this. Although she praised her skill at the arts the Xyrrai'zestu usually didn't excel, as soon as she caught of her attitude towards fighting and helping classmates, she was chastised heavily, and even went so far as to menace the more level headed protector twin to help her realize the truth or die trying. Min tried her best, but since she had been treated fairly by the blood sister, couldn't bring herself to slap her into her senses, and merely made increasingly negative remarks towards Shi'shi's attitude.

Micaranna wasn't the only one not amused with Shishi's behaviour. Some of her classmates, irked at the "good girl" behaviour of Shishi, atributed that as herself being shallow and trying to get extra points with the teachers. At this point Shishi was performing nominally okay in combat training, and she had been a breakthrough in her class regarding summoning. In the game of comparison of prowess with the target of her mother, Oiloss'lin, she wasn't losing in that field. And success brings jealously. Four of her classmates (a Sullisin'rune, a Nal'sarkoth, a Sarghress and an Illhar'dro) wanted to exact revenge on her, and as such lured her with a false plead of aid to a location of her choosing, the natural science room. Min'diira attempted to stop her twin from going to an obvious trap, but she didn't bulge.

Shishi narrowly avoided death at the hands of the four due to the last minute intervention of Min'diira, who pushed her out of the way as one rigged dragon skeleton fell on top of her, skewering the golem maker's daughter in a gruesome and quick death. Upon seeing the image, with tears on her eyes, something awoke within Shishi. She vowed revenge as the culprits had fled the scene, intent on blaming the assasination as accident.

She was 23 now. Which meant seven years to exact her revenge on the four girls whose very actions had deprived the world of Min's talent as golem maker. Her first step was to explain the mess to her mother, and endure her wrath. She did not ask for a second twin and she wasn't given one, as a punishment of her foolishness. The success against Oiloss mattered little. For the first time on her life, Shishi harbored hatred and malice.

Her plan came to fruition years after. In the meantime, her attitude of help had considerably dropped, denying all the requests who came out as shallow. All stops were pulled out. She became the best of the class in her dominant areas, with a modest margin, and even the combat which she loathed back then was improving day by day. She used her nice approach to get to know others, and then strike at those who were involved swiftly and expeditively. The Sullisin'rune had been found in the baths, dead due to a possible drug overdose. The Nal'sarkoth fell some stairs and snapped her neck. The remaining two survivors, the Sarghress and the Illhar'dro could not bear any longer and confronted Shishi in the middle of a crowd, and were swiftly put down by teachers. Due to the extensive "nice girl" work Shishi had been done in the school, the accusations against her were dismissed, and soon she graduated with honors, albeit graduated in a class that'd be labeled as "damned" for years to come.

Shishi's notorious talent for summoning and ability to handle children were noticed by her teachers, and they did not waste time in offering her a position as junior assistant in the crescent, much to her mother's delight. Her lack of bias regarding other clans would also come in handy, and despite coming for a warrior subhouse and the De'vess meddling, Shi'ndriira was sent to Orthorbbae Crescent, after spending a decade serving the clan with her arts and her modest combat skills. Micaranna would not live on further instructing her daughter to go on the grudge against the De'vess, as the birth complications of a second child killed her alongside the baby. Losing her mother was not as much as a blow as Shishi thought she would be, but losing the last blood tie with her subhouse made her appear distant to all the Xyrrai'zestu that would meet her, as well as her lack of favoritisms a stinging point when dealing with her family.

With time, Shishi rose in rank, influence and prestige inside the school, becoming one of the teachers girls most girls would ask when in trouble, and the teacher most girls would hate to revise their grades. She strived for fairness, and while she never denied genuine help for the girls she was assigned to, she also required the best of them, like a mother concerned for the fate of their children. At the age of seventy five, she had become a youthful, albeit full fledged teacher. She began to set her sights on the other part of summoning that was not being taught: Nether summoning. For some time she dabbled on the subject, reading story books about the dreaded art, trying to avoid the censorship to no avail. Most of what was left had been wiped clean, although she found pointers at how their ancestors had done it. But the exact way had been conveniently left out.

Her mind was soon distracted when the De'vess made a request for her help in the Xyrrai'zestu troops, being short-handed in mana users. While Shi'ndriira usually ignored the De'vess from her safety at orthorbbae, much to the subhouse's chagrin, she felt compelled to answer this request, as it was somewhat honest. She was now one hundred and twenty three, and soon she would find out that her call was to fill in Oiloss'lin's temporary maternity leave. Shishi didn't become a surrogate commander, but instead she was relegated as mana specialist behind the lines, an evidence of her lack of spine as a soldier. Shishi felt her patience and loyalty tested with each jab of the soldiers and each comment of the commanding officers.

Until she snapped. During a certain, unfortunate raid against some miscreants of a nether cult who had the gall to capture one of her own, shishi lost her patience and temper when she witnessed the young man they were supposed to rescue ritually sacrificed, along with the painting "Sharess is dead" in his own blood. Her answer was of the utmost twisted and vindictive fashion, killing one of the cultists, turning it in a summon and telling him to attack his comrades and kill them all, then to point out where their lair was. Shishi was swift and brutal, and the other sharen warriors could help but watch the enraged, once meek teacher barring the door and telling the fire mana specialist under threats to burn the place.

Few comments were made on the subject, now that Shi'ndriira's temper had been shown, and even the comments about her meekness became less and less prominent. By the end of her service, she had earned an officer's position eventually when she took her leave as soon as Oiloss' second child was sent to the school.

The landmark of the first millenia was there, and the school she arrived into ...was changed. Not on the surface, but it appeared that the political climate had affected the Crescent, and spine-chilling rumours of nether experiments were commonplace. On top of that, the De'vess was asking for her to sire a children. She couldn't bear to sit down and comply, not with what she knew, so she, using her teacher's access, began probing about nether summoning. She found to her dismay that several groups were attempting to do some research, one of them being made of fellow teachers. She found herself in a difficult decision. On one hand, they were a hazard. On the other, they were their fellow teachers, and she felt some kind of kinship. They eventually managed to win her over, stating that her knowledge and power could be useful. As the experiments advanced, the group eventually was tempted to try tainting. Shi'ndriira hesitated, and with good reason. An inquisition soon was founded, and although she tried to... divert their attention with risk on her personal safety, she could only see how they were hunted one by one. The hesitating Xyrrai'zestu was once again spared, somehow, although with a sharp remark that should she dabbled on it like her fellow teachers, she'd be tortured to death and imprisoned. They had suspected of her, but they could not find proof, and her stance as well liked teacher by the youths halted the inquisition's hand.

Shishi breathed for a while, and she even began to search about prospective mates. As she was a rather known teacher, she could court a lot of the male teachers without much trouble, thus fulfilling the de'vess requirement of an affinity or somesuch. She eventually settled for a dorky Sarghress (a decision which no doubt brought a lot of comments on her part), named Akio. The subsequent child of the union, whom she would name Sinril, would display a talent in fire sorcery, thus quelling much of the critics of her decision. Sinril was coddled by her mother to ridiculous extremes during her first ten years, along with her twin Bael, in an attempt to avoid becoming like her mother. As a result sinril grew extremely spoiled at first, but when she was sent to school and her mother resumed her teaching, soon she realized how strict her mother could be. In the end, Sinril would rectify her ways, and even become devoted to her mother and to the house as warrior. Bael would also survive all the way through orthorbbae. Things were going rather well at last for Shishi. And then, the Nidraa'chal suddenly appeared, as if by art of magic, along with the suspect that someone had known about the demon summoning and there had been a leak in the censorship at some point.

Shi'ndriira was torn between keeping peace at the school and keeping it a safe haven from the conflict that was going on the city, and going to help her clan. Eventually, she was called to arms, which she joined readily, confident on the skill other teachers at the crescent had.

She wasn't ready for what awaited. Oiloss'lin, the almighty giant who had always been her best, tainted to the core. Her daughter, Tialu'tel, whom she had known briefly, laying in a puddle. Her own daughter, Sinril, twisted into a creature of the netherworld, while Bael was choking in her own blood.

And her own troops being killed right and forth. Shishi gripped her soulmirs, and renounced to the traditional arts she had wielded upon now. If damnation was the price for fighting back, so would it be. Grabbing all of her soulmirs, she unleashed her summons one by one, luring many of the demons to eat them, and using the empty stones for sealing. Sacrificing sometimes valious heirlooms for demons to feed, but bringing the nether beasts into her control for the briefest of moment. She gave her worst, as she increasingly became infuriated when more and more beasts came like moths to the flame.

And it was then when it appeared. The summoner. Mocking her struggle, watching her squirm as the demons ate away her aura. For a long time in her life she had not snapped, but she did this time. Forgetting about sealing and demons, and gates she charged up straight towards the summoner at a speed she only thought she was capable of. The Nidraa'chal summoner barely had time to react as an out of himself Shishi chopped one of her hands off, herself taking a nasty wound in the shoulder as the Nidraa'chal lance pierced it.

Both opponents looked at eachother, but the fight was at an end. The lance embedded in Shishi's shoulder, could not be used for more attacks, as the Xyrrai'zestu's sword rendered the miscreant's insides. The summoner emited a gurgle, as she fell. Shishi felt her stomach upset, as her senses came quick enough to realize that her mana was being sapped away by the nether, having completely forgotten to defend as she had charged. Tumbling erratically, she managed to pry the only thing that could help her borrow time before she succumbed. The Nidraa'chal's own summoning gauntlet. Pushing herself to her limits, she begun to contain the myriad of demons before her, keeping the increasing dizzyness and pain from the wound sustained, winning a second more for forces that probably wouldn't be able to use it.

Although, by the end of the day, she still was standing. She didn't know how, but apparently retreating forces had carried her away as she collapsed, as a new, eerie rumor of the sharen victory over the Nidraa'chal spreaded. Shishi shambled among the survivors, her newly gained taint a painful reminder of the fight that had ensued, stumbling at the mangled mishap of her daughter and protector twin. Her forces seeemed to abandon her as she broke in tears, unable to stand on her feet.

The following years were felt bitter and fast for the grieving sharen, with little reaction on her part but watch how her clan became mass tainted. Only the sight of new children among the house cheered her somewhat, eventually breaking her isolation and returning her to a semblance of what she used to be. Yet, everything had changed, as each time she looked in the mirror knew that her soul was being devoured by the nether. Forgoing the traditional arts, she resumed her practice of the nether, confident that such a knowledge could help her to continue carrying her duties.

Description: Shishi is an average tall woman, with a toned, slim body, somewhat curvy. She is notorious for having quite a rebellious curly white hair which she wears waist long, although it has a tendence to get in front of her glowing red eyes. She has a spear scar in her left arm. Her face is oval shaped and almost always shifted in a warm smile. She wears two earrings per ear.

Shoshalo was born to Karna, a former Illhar’dro slave who worked hard for the clan. Her hard work, obvious dedication and the weak empathy inherited from a Sullisin grandfather, helped her find the right things to do and say. iThis mpressed a young noble from one of the subhouses, who raised her to a servants position. The noble in question, Bilanyal, took little further notice for some time but after a few “chance” encounters which Karna spent some time setting up, she chose her as her personal servant.

As a slave Shoshalo’s mother had visited the kitchens on a regular basis where she first met the father: Mirnu, a cook, He didn’t really notice her until after her second promotion when he suddenly showed an interest. After that all went well and some 20 years later little Shosho was born.

Age 0-10
Shosho’s mother was often away, spending much time on the road due to her lady’s constant travelling. As a result of that Shosho was mainly looked after by her father. She barely remembers her mother, who died when she was 5 years old in an unfortunate accident on the road. Some crates fell and crushed her head.Bilanyal found a new servant and Shosho and her father were left to grieve. Her father continued to work in the kitchens and as soon as she was old enough to toddle around and carry a bowl, Shosho was expected to help. She was taught to read, using mainly recipe books and old shopping lists.

10-16
She started to sneak out of the kitchens to read books from the library the minute she learned to read. She didn't always understand long words but tends to use then anyway, often wrongly, or simply mispronounced.
Not making many friends Shosho avoid children her own age as they tended to play pranks on her, teasing her because of the way her mother died. She became far more comfortable around adults. She is hard working and ambitious, traits inherited from her mother. When her father tells her that her mother would be proud, she swells up with pleasure. She's determined not to remain in the kitchens and when not in the kitchen or library she hangs around convenient hallways in an attempt to get noticed, hoping some Val might need a little servant, she's had no luck yet. Having shown to be a stronger empath than her mother she knows when to hide away from an angry Val before they turn the corner. She can find herself confused about her own feelings on matters and becomes a little frightened of her gift. She also hates to see people hurt, even if it’s just a cut finger. When really very upset, she'll throw a tantrum and then sulk afterwards for hours.

Description: Short silvery hair to halfway down her neck, tips of fringe dyed a pale blue, grey eyes, a little pink spiral tattooed under left eye. She’s small for her age and looks a little younger than she is. Simple white dress with pale blue accents and (also blue) tiktikki picture on the front. Sandals a size too big

Character: Shosho

  • Worldsetting accuracy - (5)
  • Mana arts - (5)
  • Abilities - (6)
  • Items - (7)
  • Total power level - (7)
  • Backstory cohesiveness - (5)
  • Plausibility - (5)
Conclusion: Conditionally approved.

Post to EITHER: confirm that you understand a 16 years old drowolath is the physical equivalent of a human 8 year old kid. OR: post that you change her age to 30, when Shosho would be the equivalent of a human 16 year old.

After posting either of these two statements you may begin play. A full repost of the character sheet is not necessary.

If you disagree with these conditions you must take the character over to the Newbie School thread and ask for assistance there ^^

Name: Kitachri'alda Nal'sarkoth (but she goes by Kit or Kitalda for short)

Race: Drowolath

Age: 44 (and thus equivalent of a human 22 year old)

Equipment: Kitalda has got normal clothes (mostly spidersilk, but with golden edges and decoration) and a slightly reinforced cloak (black and not shown on character scketch so far). She also wears some semi-precious stones as jewelry (they are set in gold plated iron).
Whenever she leaves home, she will bring one knife (as a tool, but it could serve as weapon), a notepad (a tine chalkboard with chalk), money, maybe a bit of food if it is close to a mealtime or she ecpexts to be away for some time, flint and steel and whatever she would need for the specific task (like extra bag if she went shopping, gift for someone she’s visiting etc.). She carries these things in a pouch-like bag at her hip.
She also carries a shortsword, witch she is proficient with.

Magic: Kitalda is an bit under moderately trained empath. She has been trained to sense the general flow of mana in an area, and the strength of this. She has water sorcery affinity, but it is untrained.

Fighting powers She is moderately skilled with the shortsword

Beginning city: Chel'el'sussoloth

Clan: Nal'sarkoth

Background:
Kitalda was born in Chel and raised in Chel, but she has been at the surface.
She is the eldest daughter of one of the clan’s many scholars who dwelve in questions about the surface and it’s races. Until she reached the Orthrobbae ready age of 10, she spent her time playing and interacting with other clan children. Her caretaker was a clan light elf. Kitalda’s mother visited the surface once during this time (without Kitalda). Already back at this point did Kitalda show passion for reading.
Once she was sent off to Orthrobbae, Kitalda discovered a whole new world of learning, and she attended classes of history and other theoretical subjects with much joy. After having been there for about one year, her teachers discovered her empathy. There was nothing traumatizing about this discovery, and neither with the following training in it’s use. It seemed like her mother were hoping for Kitalda to have empathy, and she had even instructed the teachers to look for it in her (empathy runs in her father’s blood, chosing him must have been for that trait). Also on her mother’s wish, the empathy training she recieved focused on the collective mana that flows in the air where fey gather.
When the whole tainting craze began at Ortho, she was taken away from the school. After that she was thaught by teachers in the clan (meaning that her empathy training hasn’t been as good from then on as it would have been if she had stayed).
She gradually transitioned from being a student to being one of the scholars like her mother. Kitalda focuses on the theory of this sea of mana being important to the agelessness of drowolath (and drowussu).
5 years ago she left for the surface as a part of this study. She stayed on the surface in a Nal’sarkoth outpost for about one year, whereafter she returned with some new knowledge, that she still works on.

Love and sex:
Kitalda is bi like most drow. During her last time at Orthro she experimented a bit, and had a few minor relationships. After returning to the clan she had a boyfriend for a while (a second cousin), but he went to the surface and died there in a fight. She grieved him for a while, but is okay about it now. When she herself wen’t to the surface, she tried to make a female human her lover, but unfortunately for Kit this woman was straight, so she never woed her. After returning to Chel, she has been fascinated with the thought of having a light elf as lover, as she finds the light skin beautiful and attractive. But as she can’t just have a light elf slave for it as someone from another clan would, she has not had any success yet.

Fighting:
She learned how to figth along the others in her Orthro days, and continued to learn the use of the shortsword even after her return to the clan. She has once defeated a commoner would be thug. During her surface year she was part of the defending forces of the outpost when it once was attacked by a group of scared humans. In that fight she defeated 3 poorly trained human farmers with pitchforks and torches (one at a time, though).
Her fighting is at the level expected for someone in her position.

Description:
The best way to describe her is to say “look at my avatar”. But here goes:
She has fairly large breasts, but otherwise average features. She has been dying the front part (bangs and a bit longer part by the ears) of her hair grass green since her visit to the surface. The green part of her hair hangs loose, and the undyed part is in a high ponytail most of the time.
She has no bad scarring anywhere.
Her eye colour is green.

Time Zone/Activity:
Timezone is Greenwitch +1, and activity may wary. But I will probably check at least once every weekday.
But I will be on for extended periods of time maybe once a week or so.

Lady Se'rune
Character: Se'rune Val'Sullisin'rune

  • Worldsetting accuracy - (1)
  • Mana arts - (4)
  • Abilities - (4)
  • Items - (3) - You need to specify an amount of ada that she carries with her
  • Total power level - (4)
  • Backstory cohesiveness - (0)
  • Plausibility - (0)

Conclusion: Refused.

You do not give any explanation as to why a Sullisin'rune Val rejects the only life she knows. How old is she at that point? Where did she get these crazy ideas? Why is she following through with them? Life as a commoner is harsh, really harsh. You've not even bothered to tell us how she coped with the transition to that life, nor how she survived. If she broke all ties with the clan like you claim she did, she wouldn't be given training either. She'd have to scrape together money to pay for it herself. Leaving the clan means leaving your entire support network behind, so she'd have nothing to fall back on, no one to keep her safe, and no one to keep her fed. These are all details that you do not even consider in the background.

You need to explain a lot more here. And you really need to use proper sentences and punctuation marks.

Take the character to the Newbie School thread for assistance.

KitAlda
Character: Kitachri'alda Nal'sarkoth

  • Worldsetting accuracy - (6)
  • Mana arts - (5)
  • Abilities - (5)
  • Items - (6) - You need to specify an amount of ada that she carries with her
  • Total power level - (6)
  • Backstory cohesiveness - (6)
  • Plausibility - (7) - You should be aware that drow do know about the sea of mana and its effects on their longevity. Trying to find out -details- about this is alright, but don't think that you're the first ones to realize the effect exists.

Conclusion: Conditionally Approved.

Post an amount of ada that Kitachri'alda carries with her, between 5-150. After doing so you may begin play.

I understand that they know about it, she is trying to figure out such things as: How many drows it takes and other details important to colonization.
I totally forgot to add her amount of Ada ^^; She carries 67 Ada (as far as I could figure that would be resonable for someone in her position).
