Might as well get Seruxis re-approved for play :b

15 years skip:

He has since been recalled from Raveran after it was discovered he had become strained by his duties in the city. He had taken to drinking and keeping to himself with hints of depression. It was decided that being home with his family would do the templar good, thus he is back in Chel'el'sussoloth. However his drinking habit followed him. Although not as often, the templar does check into bars to drink ever so often, indulging a little too much at times.

For now, he is getting better and still training new recruits to the templar ranks, however, he has become to question some of the orders that have been passed down to him, feeling they are getting more erratic and fearful than orders that are for the general good. However, as always, he keeps strong to his faith and follows whatever orders he receives despite any personal qualm of the situation.

All in all, life continues on much as it has been over the years. The same routines and the same duties.

Name: Na’riina Geis’Corax
Clan: Geis’Corax
Ancestry: Char
Gender: Female
Race: Lath
Age: 67
Martial Ability: Hook Handled Charian Sword
Magic: Geis’Corax Flesh Shaper, Blood Affinity

Appearance:
Height: Average
Build: Curvy
Eye Color: Yellow
Hair: kept in a long braid that hangs to her thighs
Hair Color: Black

Details: A row of stitches cross from ear to ear across the bridge of her nose and just under her eyes, they do not actually hold anything together she just thinks they look cool. She has similar patterns on her torso, legs and arms.

Personality Traits:
-Eccentric, often times she will act as if she is insane, other times she will be incredibly well organized in her thoughts and actions, she likes to keep people on their toes and thus will switch back and forth at random intervals during conversation.
-Friendly, though due to her upbringing she has an unusual disposition towards death and violence that can unnerve those not familiar with it, generally asking to have or buy body parts from the deceased or not understanding local customs or the current political structure of the city.

Equipment: Heavy robes in dark blue and gray with a raven shaped ivory colored mask that covers their face covered in intricate black patterns. The collar of her robe is lined with long raven feathers that frame her upper body. The robes are decorated with silver jewelry and gems common in her homeland of Char. Under her robes she wears a tight fitting black leather outfit with white patterns on it similar to the black ones on her mask.

History:

Born third daughter of the second son of the High Crone and Illhar’ess of the clan, Na’riina Val’Geis’corax spent her younger years raised by the Flesh golems of her clan, barely seeing any adults until she was old enough to begin to learn her clan’s craft. She received schooling and training in her affinity as well as martial combat before finally learning how to properly craft a body to act as a servant.

She had a relatively normal life (for a Geis’corax) but she wanted more, finally seeking out one of the clan’s seers and asking if there was more to her life then staying in the halls of her home in the crypts of Char. The seer, being a Geis’corax seer and inherently prone to being vague and generally not very helpful, merely said that she should seek out the city that shared the visage of their clan. After some research in the clan’s library she found a map to an incredibly distant city known as Raveran, which sounded quite a bit like Raven which was the clan animal so the girl reasoned that was her destination.

It took many months of travel and quite a few run-ins with less than pleasant and not very well behaved wild life and ne’er-do-wells before she finally reached her destination, the city of Raveran.

Flesh Golem:

Ryeeth’yhal

Appearance:
Na’riina’s flesh golem mount is monstrous in appearance. The creature walks on four gaunt arm like appendages ending in long bony fingered like claws. Its body is long and narrow, starting at a long twisting tail and leading to the upper part of its ribcage which is larger than the middle. Two stubby nubs that might have once been wings wriggle about in vein. Past the enlarged upper body a long skeletal like neck with mismatched skin pulled taught over the joints twists forward away from the body, ending in what could only have been some sort of dragon’s skull at one point with the skull of a large raven crudely grafted over it. However in the sockets of the eyes sit two mismatched unblinking bloodshot eyes one reptilian and the other from that of a mammal, likely a wolf. A long forked tongue darts out between the teeth and beak of the creature.

Equipment: Ryeeth’yhal uses no weapons beyond its claws and beak. Na’riina is unable to do combat while riding the creature as it will buck and heave and twitch about terribly. A saddle sits just behind it’s enlarged chest that has several bags of Na’riina’s things including food, clothes, and equipment to maintain flesh golems and some extra money.

Name: Stealli the mysterious, arcane, insoluble and enigmatic entertainer
Her birth name is Salaeas but she tells that to no one, saving it for someone special

Race: lath/ssu halfbreed

Age: 62 but looks 30

Equipment:
Typically, Stealli wears the clothes of a street urchin although she tends to have brighter colors to be seen as an entertainer and to attract a customer or two to her story telling. She wears a fanciful cap, a short cape, but oddly, she has bandages wrapped up around the palm of her hands up to her elbows despite wearing long sleeve shirts. This is to hide her scars. Her clothes are often lose and bagging on her due to her small frame and from scrounging up what she has in the dumpster.
What she can't carry on her, she stores in a hovel she has in an alleyway which is little more than a glorified box with the basics for living and sharing space peacefully with the rodents and bugs.
She is a thief by nature and carries a set of picklocks on her at all times as well as a few coin purses snatched from those that don't watch theirs close enough. She keeps those and her money all over her person, especially in her boots and underwear.
She carries a satchel that contains:

5 paper puppets for stories she puts on
a deck of cards with a few extra cards to slip up the sleeves
dice
marbles that she's collected over time
some of her money
a pair of wire cutters
a single dagger
Items in her glorified box condo hovel:
lots and lots of old dirty pillows and blankets
A small half working heat foci to heat water on
a crusty pot
an old bent spoons
secret hiding spot for her money
a collection of old books she dug out of the trash
recruitment posters that feature really cute lads and ladies on them

Magic: basic light mana to blind and beguile and make sparkles for theatrical effect.
Skills: Her biggest skill is having to be on the run and scurrying the streets, she is very good at parkour running, and getting around the town quickly and hiding rather than fighting. She street brawls but that is more just swinging about and hoping you hit fleshy bits.

Beginning city: Val'Raveran.

Clan: She has no official clan ties. She has loose affiliations with the Qin'dalasque, but was never high ranked, just a rat who passed along information for a bit of coinage. She has more loyalty to herself above all else.

Background:
Sixty two and some months ago, a drowlath woman became pregnant by a Kyorl'Solenurn templar in the heart of Raveran. The circumstances are foggy, willing or not, the woman became pregnant and gave birth to a crying baby girl. The biggest issue wasn't that the child was a halfbreed, but that the woman was poor and was barely supporting herself. That isn't to say the woman didn't try to provide for her child, but when the breast milk ran out and food became harder to come by, she had to make a choice.
She took her young daughters hand her little Saleas, and led her to the city dump and told the little girl to cover her eyes and count to six million, that they were going to play hide and seek. Saleas was happy to do this, quickly covering her eyes, smiling brightly and began to count as high as she could. Eventually she gave up trying to reach six million, barely being able to count past twenty at the age of 9, and went to look for her mother in the trash heap. Her mother was a very good hider. She never found her and Saleas didn't know the way back home. She had been abandoned to her own fate.
Being barely a toddler, Saleas did what any child would have done and started to sob, calling out for her mother until she stumbled alone into the street where a local brothel took her in. This would be home for most of her young life. Here she scrubbed the clean the floors and was beaten soundly for any cheek or sass she gave to the owners, patrons, or employees. However she was a child and the pretty clothes of the prostitutes and their shiny coins and trinkets they earned attracted the young Saleas who would often put the clothes on and steal the pretty things to play make believe. Down in the basement she would twirl about in private among the barrels of liquor and pretend she was a pretty princess or a noble or anyone but Saleas. She made up the name “Stealli” as a persona of who this new, confident drow she became and soon she began to assume the “Stealli” persona when in public as, after all, she was realizing the world was her stage.
She learned what she could from the prostitutes and patrons. One group of Sarghress found it fun to see if the cleaning bitch could read and would give her snippets to read. It was a game and they got their kicks out of her not being able to say words properly. One of them made a jeer at her ssu heritage and got her a copy of the holy scriptures of Sharess and told her to become a warden. Clueless, she said she would endevor to study to be one. She never got why they laughed back then.
Saleas, now Stealli didn't mind cleaning. The constant beatings and the occasional stabs of hunger when she was sent to her room without food were just part of the job to her. There was nothing wrong with a master taking it out on a bad servant. However that all changed when she met Castael Qin'Dalsque. Castael was a masked fox, well spoken and after one round of watching her “read” to the Sarghress goons, called her over and asked a peculiar favor of her. He wanted her to snatch the wallet of one of the Sarghress without him knowing. It was an odd game but at his coaxing she made an attempt after her target hat drank one to many cups of alcohol. To be fair, she had already been stealing from drunk patrons and other employees from a young age but still she feared a beating for the action. When she finally brought Castael the wallet he smiled and said she had potential and if she wanted to unlock that, she should consider leaving this inn and coming with him.
She hesitated until the Sarghress started to holler about his lost wallet and then she was quick to agree and go with Castael if only to avoid the beating that would ensure when she was caught.
Although the Qin'Dalsque male never formerly gave her an offer to join his clan and be a proper fox, he taught her how to be a better pickpocket, thief, and acrobat in the streets of Raveran. Her small size gave her an advantage in getting lost in a crowd and ducking and weaving in and out of small spots to escape the guards. She took to the streets like a duck to water. The careful guidance of Castael helped as he gave her goals and techniques to her heists. She kept her ears open and eyes peeled for information she could pass onto her employer and in return, he rewarded her handsomely. She became a runner more or less and she began to learn the ways of the streets, shadows, and to keep her eyes, ears, and mind open. She never learned how to be a great reader or a scholar or really anything that a noble born child would learn, however she knew more practical things like who stole the venders food, where the transport that went messing is, who is with the underground, where the dealers are, and things of that nature. Also the nature of politics at the base level and the gossip of the city in general is more the knowledge she knows.
She formed her own little gang of pickpockets and thieves, the “Stealli boys and gals” who pulled every trick in the book for money. They faked injuries so they got more sympathy when begging, the pure bred drow and drowussu would preach the Sharess gospel to part Kyorl'Solenurns from their coinage, and they would put on street performances or offer tours of the city in order to draw crowds or get someone alone to rob them blink or pickpocket. That all change with the second purge of demons that erupted in the city. Being in the streets, the time was a nightmare. Stealli only managed to escape unscathed because she had been further from the epicenter than her gang. Many of them were killed and her benefactors, the Qin'Dalsque were scattered and in destitute. Those years were rough on the streets as small gangs and the underbelly of the city erupted into its own little wars due to the power vacuum left in the wake of the Qin'Dalsque's near destruction. As time went by and the Kyorl'Solenurn purges became more frequent and more intolerable and the Qin'Dalsque survivors, hungry for vengeance retook the syndicates of the underbelly, organizing them into a threat against those that would do them harm, more or less, life returned to normal for Stealli. She has re-established her agreements with the Qin'Dalsque resistance, providing intel to the underground and sometimes taking parts in schemes to cause a bit of chaos.
Now the street rat is back to prowling the streets for the foreign and foolish, getting into mischief and keeping one step ahead of the law...and of course, rob everyone you meet blind.

Description:
Height: 5'8, obviously stunted and short for a drow, comes from the drowussu side of the family.
Eye Colour: sky blue
Hair: She keeps her hair short with two small pigtails so she can fit it under her hat. Her hair is brownish-blondish, however, it looks darker due to the dirt.

Details: She has scars on her back and arms from beatings she took when she was younger. She has multiple ear piercings, three on the left, five on the right.

Time Zone/Activity: Eastern time, usually in the evenings.

15 years Update: Ziphaenarla's arrival in Chel was met with a quick induction among the supporters of Clan Beldrobbaen, and she herself benefitted from formal training as healer by the clan of the spider. To symbolize this, she wears a black armlet with the Beldrobbaen symbol on her left arm. She also improved her ability to spin silk on her own, since spidersilk would be a good material to apply bandages on the spot.

As the war erupted and raged in Chel'el'sussuloth, Ziphaenarla was deployed as a field medic at first, but on recent years, with the return of the Illhar'dro to Raveran and the surprising offer of a Council Seat, Ziffy was redeployed in Raveran, both because of the desperate need of manpower to keep the seat and to help the Beldrobbaen's display of competence, since few things speak as much of the Beldrobbaen prowess like a trained empathic Ne'kalsaider helping their forces in the city.

Name: Nina'rael Lohara Sarghress

Race: Drowolath

Age: ~80

Equipment:

Carried- A naginata about a meter longer than she is tall.

Worn- Sarghress Garrison plate armor, about 10 meters of bandages worn as a wrap around her torso, a pouched belt with flasks of water and booze, antidotes for common poisons, and a kukri in the event of limited-space combat.

Packed- A sleeping roll, spare clothes, 15 meters of spidersilk rope for the grappling hook (or strangling people), and basic officer supplies (essentially: the necessities to receive, translate, and give orders over patrol limits, a map or two, and the like, within a 15 lb limit)

Home: Whatever passes for Sarghress officer accommodations in Raveran. She never bothered to decorate the place, and has a hard time finding a male interested enough to be lured there to do it for her.

Magic: Highly-trained Basic Mana Affinity

Beginning city: Chel'el'sussoloth born, but moved to Raveran shortly before the 15-year timeskip.

Clan: Sarghress

Background: Nina is the first-born daughter of a rather poor family of blacksmiths, and was given the responsibility of raising her younger brothers and sisters while her mother continued to work and have more kids. This would have proven difficult enough had it not been for the second-born, Ana, the poisoned velvet glove to Nina's iron fist, often completely undermining Nina's strict discipline with her own depraved ideas of 'suitable punishment', which would certainly be effective deterrents had the family psychopath been anything resembling consistent with what actually constituted punishable offenses. The gap between the two oldest was the widest at 10 years, with the rest being in roughly 5-year increments, save for the middle children of her family, who were born twins. However, she quickly learned her family's trade and established herself among her younger siblings (except Ana) that she was someone to be respected and feared. Whenever one of her brothers or sisters failed to fall in line properly, they found themselves on the wrong side of a one-sided boxing match. Especially the boys. She told them and herself that it was for their own good that they be toughened up early to prepare themselves for the wrath of their future mates or that of a displeased Val woman. Ana on the other hand, having improved her evasion skills at the cost of most others, would taunt her relentlessly once Nina was no longer capable of striking her, saying things like the real reason she hit her brothers was for personal gratification. Nina denied it at the time, but is still harboring doubts.

When her family's rivals all started using lower-quality materials to help them gouge the prices, Nina's mother found herself in an increasingly desperate situation, since her pride wouldn't allow her to do the same. Thus she ordered Nina to find a solution, and she did, one that would define how she resolved most of her problems: she drove her siblings harder to boost productivity at the cost of nearly working them to death. As if to spite her, Ana had skipped out on working altogether, instead using her social nature to establish more connections and try to get more customers. For a while, the family treaded water like this, barely managing to stay in business until the Sarghress decided to move their war machine again. Suddenly, large amounts of their stock was bought up, and her family traded places with their rivals, whose cheap products were exposed for what they were. Thus saved from the kind of true poverty surrounding life on the streets, Nina decided that her family could afford to let the older siblings seek other kinds of employment.

It was Nina's decision to have the Sarghress emblem branded and inked onto her forehead and that of all her brothers and sisters, to maintain a semi-permanent reminder of to whom they owed their current well-being. The elder half were also required to seek employment with the big clan first before looking elsewhere. After seeing to it that they were all recruited, she went on to work in the garrison, starting as a guard and began burning her way through the ranks through dedication and hard work. Once she had earned a captain rank, she was relegated by those who unlike her, were actually good at scheming. In short order, she found herself assigned to one of the last places in the underworld any Sarghress soldier wanted to be: the garrison at Raveran.

She was given a command position, apparently for no other reason than there were few people of her rank or higher present. Not that it amounted to much, as she now had command over three squads rather than one. Raveran garrison duty was seen as a punishment prior to her assignment there, and even more so now. Nina reigned over her troops with the same violent but coldly temperamental nature that she used on her family, and with the same results: she was resented greatly, but everybody was too afraid of her to voice their opinion where she could hear them. This way of life was maintained until recently, when she received a letter from home informing her of the misfortune that had struck her family. After that, she grew quiet and withdrawn, seldom raising a hand to any of her troops, and on those occasions when she did, her anger dissipated into a bitter sadness, and instead she would just silently leave the room. The stark contrast in demeanor bothered her soldiers more than her customary violence, but they were still afraid of her, so the issue has never been pressed.

Description: Hip-length platinum hair with traditional Sarghress red-dyed tips, kept in a bun that reduces it to shoulder blade-length. Indigo eyes. Height is halfway between male and female 'lath averages. Build leans more toward athletic than curvy. She had a very pretty face (it runs in the family), but it seems permanently frozen in a 'anger level: ready to kill' expression. This might have something to do with the scar she has running from the right corner of her mouth to that side's ear.

Time Zone/Activity: US Central/ 2-3 posts per week, give or take

(Bout time I got around to cleaning this character sheet.)

Name:Gaul
Race: Drowussu
Sex: Male
Age: 203 (218 after time skip)
Weapons: Short sword and Spear, or a two handed sword
Armor: Traditional Templar armor but with a great helm with no eye slits,
Other: At least 20 ada on himself, and at least has 82 ada in savings, from some small share of his family money given to him in the past
Magic: basic mana, fire affinity and Sealing
Clan:Val'Kyorl'solenurn
Beginning City:Val'Raveran
Back ground: Gaul was born in a privileged merchant family, Plainly named the Golden Eyed company. His mother was a cold calculating woman, who mated with Gauls father not out of love but of a business deal. Gaul was raised more by his maid more then his own mother. She busy with the family business, to raise her children. Something that Gaul resented as a child and grew into further mother, son issues.

When he was old enough he was shipped off to the orb to be trained as a templar. His mother though it would do him some good and the clan was pressuring her to contribute a son or daughter to army. It something Gaul grew to like eventually. He felt more at home with a blade in his hand and steel weighing down on him. It was there he met his first warden and eventually his wife.

In his youth Gaul took to drinking and fighting in his off time. Chel Fire drink was definitely a weakness that led to most of those fights. He only stopped his binge drinking, when he was seriously injured and found out his wife was pregnant with their first born son.

From that point on Gaul aimed to be a better person and father to his three children. Something he never got to experience as a child. Over time him and his wife grew apart, from what could be called a drow mid life crisis. And Gaul found Dutan'vir mate on the side, named Morrigan. Over time, Morrigan became pregnant and decided to It off. Seeing that it would complicate things with her own mother if she found out she mated with a Kyorl.

It was then Gauls life started to slip. First it was the death of his son by a Volz snake, followed by the riots that claim both his daughters. Then Finally the death of his wife during the Nid war, some one who he has known since graduation.
It was all too much for him to bare. He tried to find Morrigan and her child when he heard about the fall of the Dutan'vir. But he wasn't in the mind wasn't in the right mind set and he didn't know where to start.

When things calmed down enough in Chel. Gaul moved back to Raven to get away from it all.

Description: Tall and lean muscled. Gaul is built of solid muscles and scar tissues, that road map his body. His hair is kept short and neat.

Height: 7 '4'
Weight: 300
Eye color: 'Ada' Blue
Hair color: Blonde
Personality: Gauls beliefs in his religious is a mild one at best. Usually keeping a calm and steady head, over any fanatical beliefs. Quietly believing such one sided views just cloud his judgment.
Ever since the loss of his family, Gaul has taken it upon himself to look after the young wardens and templar.

Rae'myras Vloz'ress

Changes to equipment:

Regular equipment: Spidersilk robes, thick spidersilk armor underneath, spidersilk cloak, boots, 20 ada, two kukri and their sheaths

Alternative equipment: spidersilk tunic, pants, and cloak, chitin breastplate, greaves, boots, metal gauntlets, two kukri and their sheaths, a Scourge's mask, 20 ada, first-aid supplies

Changes to history:

It's easy for a man without a face to disappear into the crowds. One day, the Nine Shards Gang found that Rae'myras was gone. Maybe Chel had gotten too hot for him to handle, or he had finally given up on the goals of the Gang. Whatever his reasons, he was gone.

Rae'myras wandered away from Chel, traveling from outpost to outpost in an attempt to find a better place than the rotting city from which he had come. He visited the overworld briefly but found it too bright for his liking. He returned to his trade of acting when possible and prostitution when not.

After the Ill'hardro's return, Rae'myras resurfaced in Raveran. He no longer publicly claims his allegiance to the Vloz'ress, and he shapeshifts his eyes back to their former colour of steel-grey. Sometimes, maybe just for old times' sake, he'll let his eyes shift to their true red, and he'll don his Scourge's mask, walking among what is left of the Vloz'ress in Raveran.

(Hello everyone, new here, just saying hello and I look forward to roleplaying with all of you!)

Name: Kyndariana Val’Sarghress

Sex: Female

Age: 63

Weapons: Iron Crossbow, A two handed curved blade with serrated edges on one side, and a sharp, finely tuned blade on the other.

Armor: A full set of amber colored, Highland Raider armor.

Magic: Basic mana manipulation, Basic fire affinity.

Other gear: Large Quiver, Backpack, Medical pack and accessories pouch, Protective goggles, Scarf, Sling and stand for Crossbow, Canteen, Rations, fifteen Ada, Bedroll, Multiuse combat knife.

Clan: Val’Sarghress

Beginning City: Raven

Back ground: Kyndariana lived with her middle class family, her mother and father were both part of the Sarghress Military. They lived inside of Chel'el'sussoloth, serving the Val’Sarghress in any way they could. Weight: 183 pounds.

Personality: Kyndariana is a bold, proud and well disciplined solider of the Sarghress. She wears her rank as well as her position within her clan with great honor and respect. Caring for her fellow clan is extremely important to her, and will do all she can to assist. Some mistaken her as cold and distant at times, keeping to herself inside of taverns or other areas of the sort. The truth is, she is deep in thought planning out where her next venture should be.
