Reka rubbed her arm as she stood. While the male's response was a tad rude, it was quite normal.
He looked her right in the eyes, something that Reka's comrades didn't tend to do. After a while, her comrades generally learned better than to try and read Reka's trademark quiet and expressionless face.

Reka herself did little more than a slight bow of the head as sorry, turn on her heel and walk towards the meeting room. After all, Reka already got a first impression of the unknown element Lady Z had spoken of.

----

At the meeting, Reka would skip greeting Kyn and go straight to giving her the package she was given. A data-drive with station-maps and dock locations. Save for the higher-clearance areas, the map showed common areas as well as contained starcharts that would allow for the most direct rout to the station from a location not far away.

With a stretch and a yawn, Kyndariana pulled herself up from the comfortable position she had been sitting upon the couch, and now sat up straight, typing a decryption code into her computer to bring up the mission information. The large monitor that was built into the wall in front of her changed from the extra-net to show the information on Kyndarianas computer. She went over the information one more time before her squad arrived at her room. "Everyone please take a seat on the couch and we can get this started." Kyndariana motioned for the couch that wrapped half way around the table in front of her. In the middle of the table was an assortment of cookies that ranged from chocolate chip to peanut butter. "Feel free to help yourself to the cookies while I explain everything. I...what's this Reka?" Kyndariana took the package from her and placed it on the table before carefully opening in. "Data-Drive, I am almost worried to look at its contents, they not fall under NSFW Reka." She lightly nudged the scout with a soft chuckle before plugging it into her computer.

The monitor in front of her showed a large amount of very important information that ranged from the complete station lay out that included every last detail, to star-charts that showed her the most direct and safest rout to the station. "I am not sure if I should be asking this question, but where did you acquire this data-drive? This information here is extremely hard to come by, I do not thing even the General had this type of data. Let's talk after I give all of you the full briefing on what is going on here." Kyndariana pointed at the monitor once more, before the a crystal clear, high definition video came up on the screen. It showed the space station above the planet only known as [IG44] A lush garden world that still had yet to be fully explored. "This is the USCSS Lockmart CM-88B, any other names you have heard of it are false and used to keep its identity secret."

There was a pause as the camera zoomed in on the space station, "We did receive a very scrambled message from the space station a couple hours ago." She pressed a button on her keyboard and the audio message started to place with a great deal of interference and background noise.

"This is ... emergency situation ... evacuate ... unknown ... station wide ... life-form ... riots ... released themselves from airlock rather than being trapped ... large casualties ... [Gunfire]..."

"We have been given orders to investigate the station, neutralize any threats, and secure the station. We have been given the best weapons, armor, and equipment for this so if we do find something hostile down there, something unknown, we will send it screaming back to the pits of hell from which it came. Now, we will be docking at the main area of the station and will be sending in the assault drone first to scout out the area. There is no one in the fires of hell I am going to send any of you in there until we know what we are dealing with. None of this feels right to me, I am on your side, just nuke the station and be done with it, but we cannot do that, due to a couple facts."

"If there is an alien on the station, we need to neutralize it and most likely bring it in to be studied. Next is that the reactors on the space station, if they go critical from an attack, would cause a miniature black hole that would last around an hour and suck up everything around it. We are not sure how this would effect the planet below but it would not be good for any of us. So we are stuck with the first option of just trying to find out what is going on then going from there, its stupid, I know. So, since we have that out of the way, are there any questions? comments? concerns? anything at all?"

Che felt a little unnerved by the scout's reaction...or rather non-reaction, and the look in her eyes. He simply let her pass him by as he kept going in the other direction, only to be blocked by a Security Officer.

Che walked into Kyn's room, with his 'escort' standing just outside the door way when it closed. "Fucking hell." He walked over to the couch and plopped himself down, putting his feet up on the table and leaning over to grab a handful of cookies when they were brought to his attention. He would chuckle, "You mean like Bio-weapons Research Station 88-Bravo? Or maybe Hard Lock 'Correctional' Facility?" He got his quips in and would keep quite till the message was finish playing. "Alright, riots. A lotta somebodies didn't like someone's response to the unknown life form. That or the prisoners got free and you know, do what prisoners do when they get escape from their cages rather than the smart thing like slink away quietly." He rubbed his chin, "That or this thing exerts some kinda mind control, but that's just the Crazy Dropout's views on this." He'd wait for the rest of her briefing, letting out a loud sigh and raised his hand. "Is it too late for me to hi-jack an escape pod?" He lowered his hand, "Next question is what do we have in the way of equipment. Anything heavy, Golems, Mechs, Power armor, things like that? And what about protective gear? For all we know this thing farts Hydrogen Cyanide."

Meanwhile sitting in a tent on another Planet a woman was sitting in front of a Comms console. Tapping her fingers lightly as the connection was being made. "Fith Fle-" "This is Commander Myr'inil Dutan'vali'er, put me on with General Lanus." The Ssu woman demanded.

Garrus took a seat, and listened to Kyn talk. "Sweet cookies, don't mind if I do."

The information dump was a little over baring for this black beret. "Well shit, so much for a lack of communication being the problems... But I don't know. Is it just us if we decide to board? We don't have a lot of man power to cover a whole station, let alone one that has hostiles in it." He fought the urge to drum his fingers on the table.

When the door opened and he saw Kyn he did a playful salute with two fingers. "This is a nice ship, I gotta say." He said while taking the offered seat. He waited for others with mixed feeling of insecurity and curiosity about the upcoming mission. He felt the long gone excitement of a mission briefing rushing in his head but... This was with almost total strangers for a branch of military which was such *hush hush* stuff he had only heard of other people talking.

After the data was shown, his head was more full of questions that he wanted. "I'm agreeing with Garrus at this thing. And why send such small group? They afraid of this leaking to publicity so badly?" he took his beret from his head and started to twiddle the badge on it.

"The data-bug is in place Ma'am." the comm officer reported.
"Good." Lady Z responded
"Data bug?" The first officer asked,
"Neither the sender nor respinate know of it. A small program ment to transmit their location and data to us. It works quietly, They needn't know we are looking over them."
At that the FO cracked a smile, "Quite sly of you ma'am"
"My my, you shouldn't be impressed by something as simple as this."

"Ma'am! We are intercepting a transmission going to General Lanus." the Comm officer reported once more
"My that was quick." Lady Z raised a brow. She didn't know the woman personally, but know of her reputation. A person such as that she'd rather avoid if possible.
"What do we do ma'am?"
"Let it through. You are to continue jamming the relay of point alpha. That relay is the only one that can receive signal from the Station above IG44. We mustn't let anyone else know of it until the situation is resolved."
"Will this not limit Their ability to message for help or such?" the FO questioned to which Lady Z smiled with a smile that showed she had planned this well in advance.
"How silly. Should they transmit, we shall be the ones who get it."
"And if they get in trouble?"
"We shall rescue them of course. But I have faith them, and my little blue scout." Lady Z finished as she leaned back in her chair as if watching a play unfold before her.

------------

Reka, the quiet person she was had listened to the message but more over studied her 'comrades'
Kyn was quite known and a respected friend.
The mechanic, who's name eluded her, seemed quite normal. Considering Reka's usual teammates, it was both odd and comforting.
Garrus's reputation and demeanor made him, in Reka's book as respected as kyn. Atm he was more a 'comrade' than a friend though.
Che seemed to be the joker in the otherwise plain deck of cards. Yet compared to comrades past, he was quite sane. Reka wondered if he would be eventually 'comrade' or 'friend'.

Leaning back against her leather office chair, Kyndariana cupped her face with her hands then ran them through her short dark hair. She closed her eyes and sighed heavily, reaching forward she grabbed onto a cookie, then spoke in a low, agitated tone. "Alexius, have Solares bring me some strong coffee." A holographic image of a female in armor appeared appeared on her computer monitor, and responded in a very human like tone and way. "I will let Solares know immediately about the coffee, though you should know that we will arrive at the space station in under an hour. I have prepared everything on my end and will be ready to assist all of you once we have docked." Kyndariana thanked the ships advanced A.I. before taking a bite out of the cookie she was holding between the thumb and index finger of her right hand.

"This space station is the USCSS Lockheart CM-88B, it does not hold prisoners and was never a correctional facility. The station was used for biochemical and biological experiments as well as a large amount of research on new or old specimens from around the galaxy. Now we have our orders from the General, investigate the space station and find out what the hell happened. Along side his orders, I am giving you my own, we are also going to recover any research data that we can. We have to put Alexius into the stations main computer core and have her extract all of the data." The ships A.I. reappeared, but this time upon the table top in front of all of them. "I think I should be plugged into the space stations main core before we do anything else, I should be able to control everything on the station and help you move around with out any trouble." Kyndariana nodded at Alexius before she vanished from the table top.

"Now, onto those questions all of you had. The requisition officer downstairs in the cargo-bay will have all the equipment you will need. If you can think of it, there is a very high chance that we have it somewhere in there. Well, we have everything but Golems, had an accident a while back with one and had to launch it out of the airlock." Memories of that day went through her head with a moment of awkward silence. "Point is, there will never be another Golem on this ship." Solares entered the room and placed the cup of coffee down in front of Kyndariana before taking a seat next to her in her own leather office chair."Solares will be joining us as heavy support." She motioned to all of them, "This is our group, no one else will be joining us, we do not need an army of people in there, only an elite few."

"Twenty minuets till arrival." the ships pilot said as Kyndariana and Solares were both standing up, "Go get your gear and get ready to move out, dismissed."

Che smiled at Kynd, "Right...no illegal experimentation on prisoners...gotcha." chuckling softly. He'd listen to the rest of the briefing, "Right, I got some equipment to 'requisition'. And from the sound of it, someone forgot to update their security protocols on their golem." Che would get up and head one deck down.

Che was busy modifying the armor he picked out. He mixed and matched a suit from lightweight recon and medium soldier armor. He was 'yanking' parts of a HUD projector from a helmet and attaching them to his combat mask, with an angry Quartermaster behind him. "I could have gotten you some spares..." "Nah, you only had Mk. IVs. I like the Mk. III better." She'd scowl at the back of Che's head, tempting to tell Kynda that there was an 'accidental' weapons discharge and she didn't know how it happened.

Che met up with the others, wearing a black stab resistant coverall over an NBC suit with his armor over all that was painted with more tribal turtles to match the mask. He picked out a Carbine, PDW and heavy pistol along with a combat pack full of ammo and a toolkit. "We ready to rock?"

Garrus looked over his usual gear, while pondering over the mission he was yanked into. "Think there was a bio hazard leak to top everything off? Some stupid scientist dropping a glass vase filled with shit by the ventilation."

His gear was all matching and balanced to his wight. Like most rangers; space and ground. His stuff was made with rapid deployment in mind.

"Well... I'll bet this will be much more... interesting than sitting in a bloody space station for a change." He said as they were dismissed. He headed to his room to take those few useful items he had from the locker.

He walked to the cargo-bay and looked at the sheer amount of equipment stored there. He went to requisition officer and asked for a light recon suit with systems for Electronic warfare(EW). He believed that getting into the ships main core could be a lot trickier than others believed. And it would be defended. He knew what made Mechs tic, how to disable a spaceship with single line of a code and how turn weapons against their owners but he never had learned how to shoot properly and was assigned to EW and mechanic corps because of this, away from the front lines. He looked at the guns for a moment only taking a medium caliber pistol with him and some ammo. Tools he had would be lot more useful for the group than an extra gun.

(sorry for the hold up)

Seeing as Reka was...well herself, the blue scout simply triple-checked her gear. The gear she had been wearing for some time. It would be rare to see her in 'normal' cloths as it where.
Satisfied that everything was still where it ought to be, Reka went to a corner and sat to await deployment.

The bridge of the Andromeda was alive with the sound of electronics and chatter coming from the crew as they approached the space station which could now be seen in the distance. The door opened to the bridge, and Kyndariana stepped out onto the cold metal floor beneath her feet. "Castor, bring us into docking port A on the right side of the station." Kyndariana pointed with her index finger at the docking port. "Keep your eyes on the monitors and let me know if you see anything at all. I will contact you again once we are at the ships core." Castor nodded his head at Kyndariana, "Alright commander, i'll take care of things here while you and your squad are gone." Kyndariana left the bridge of the ship and headed to the elevator, taking it down to the main deck of the ship where she met up with her squad. "We will be docking with the space station CM-88B in a couple of seconds. I want all of you to stay on high alert, and be ready for whatever we may face aboard the station. Follow me to the airlock, and make sure to check your gear one more time, better safe than sorry."

Kyndariana stood in front of the airlocks door and watched the the light above it, which was currently red. "Wait for it..." a short couple of seconds would pass before the light turned green. From behind them, Solares appeared wearing her power armor and carrying a heavy plasma machine gun. "Planning on leaving me behind Kyn?" asked Solares with a smile from behind her helmet. She flipped the safety off on her weapon and stepped into the airlock with the rest of the squad before the door shut behind them. Solares looked over each member of the squad before saying, "Che was it? I like the turtles you have painted on your armor, it's unique, something I have not seen out in space before. Once this is all over, I want to hear about why you drew those on your armor." The door to the other end of the airlock opened to show that the power was on and everything was running as if nothing had happened. While poking her head out ever so slightly from the doorway, she looked to the left, then to the right, and noticed that the station was indeed empty, there were no signs of of fighting or any damage at all, in that matter.

"This is not what I was expecting to see, Solares are you picking up anything on your HUD?" Solares was quick to respond, "Not a damn thing, everything is running well here, though I am still not picking up an signs up life." Kyndariana walked out into hall and motioned for the rest of the crew to join her. "Reka, which way to the CM-88B's Core, we need to get Alexius into the mainframe so she can tell us what the hell is going on here. Solares, I want you by her side just in case shit hits the fan, move out everyone!"

Che would check his guns before turning to one of the others, "Mind checking my seals for me?" gesturing to the NBC suit under his armor. After that he'd stand near the airlock looking up at the light when a voice came from behind him, he'd grin under his mask, "I'll be glad to tell you all about the Infinity Turtles and their message." He'd turn back and let a couple people go thorugh first, checking the hallways with his carbine. "Anyone else feel a chill go up their spine?"

Meanwhile...
"I'm sorry Commander, the General is not available at the moment. If you want I can have him contact you when he is?" "There will be consequences for this. I want to know what he's doing with my son's record." She'd slam her fist into the console, which would turn off. A male would enter the tent with a tray, "I take it that didn't go well?" The Ssu would glare at her mate and Aide-de-camp. "I'm tempted to take a complement of Hel Jumpers and Marines and storm his Headquarters to get answers." The Male Ssu would pour some tea, "You know that wouldn't end well for you. Drink your tea, Mum." She'd take a teacup, "He used your credentials to board the Orion Station. I've sent my brother to track him down from there." "Out of your hands then...Put your faith in the Goddess and everything will go as She wills." He'd hand her a data pad, "That Reconnaissance report is in."

"Something like that." Garrus said to Che about their mission going underway. Garrus was now suited up in his Tan colored Ranger suit. Jet Black wasn't a good color he thought, they were the good guys after all. His visor was down on his helmet but his face showed clearly.

One last check on his rifle. He switched on his laser pointer, that showed a normally invisible line, green with his visor on.

"Knock knock. Anyone home." Garrus said as he raised his rifle stock to his shoulder.

He stood behind others waiting for the airlock to shut down and door to station open. He was acting really nervous considering the firepower they had with them and cold sweat was dripping down his back. He tapped Kyndarinas shoulder. "How do you keep yourself so calm? I'm sweating like hell." He asked. When the door opened he followed Garrus to the corridors. It was not what he had expected. He thought that it would be dark and gloomy but all the lights were on and the corridors were just... empty. "Knock knock. Anyone home." He heard next to him and started smiling. Such a cliché joke he thought but he felt alot less tense.
