The Devils Valley

Aisha screamed in terror as the humans - or former humans - charged the Highland Raiders, picks and shovels raised. The mana light flickered over the loathsome sea of shining eyes and filthy, pallid flesh. Even as the light fell upon them, their gleaming eyes contracted to minute points set in white as they raised their hands against the blinding light. With a nauseous shudder Tur'geis noticed that the light shone diffusely through their flesh to reveal the living bones underneath.

With a surge of his powerful legs, Tur'geis was with Jak'sura and Zalr'gan, shielding Aisha with his armored body as he cast mana lights towards the mass of hideous creatures. His bisentou wove a grim tapestry of blood and gore as it clove flesh and bone.

"Hey, nice complexion...for a freak!" roared Tur'geis right before he clove one of the attackers in half horizontally. He heard Jak'sura right beside him mention dealing with the attackers. "Where is Reka? We can't let ourselves get stopped here if we are to find her!" He had the suspicion that these attackers could just be delaying them.

---Up top---

The gigantic octopi roise from the lake as the human footing touched the ground. Its silent, eyes staring seemingly into nothing as it scooped more large rocks to throw.

The wolves up above, started to bark and howl at the large beast again as they could smell its presence. Soon watchmen started to shout and point to out large cats approaching the drows fortification. Their aged grey fur and dusty mains lumbered forward.

Bolts didn't seemed to slow them much, score after score, thunk after thunk. The rotten beasts still approached, like a march right out of hell.

* * * Down * * *

Gaul coughed and choked on the dust, managing to get his feet right back under him. But the humans where on him quicker then he could react. Their stone weapons hacked at the ex templar, ringing his armor like a bell. Having enough of this shit, Gaul formed a barrier and bought him some time to bring his own blade into play.

Limbs and cheap tools bounced onto the floor as drow steel cut finely into the leathery flesh. "Re group!" He shouted getting his way back to the team. "Team up!" As Mae slowly started to disappear into the hole she was dragged into.
Tripping out from a bad coke.

*surface*
Idrs'nel looked down after Chrono jumped, her face twisted into a stunned silence as yet more monsters appear from nowhere. Nel looked over at Eldri and said What the fuck just happened? She shook her head and joined the crazy halm down in the valley with the giant monster. It wasn't the smartest idea but the halm at least looked like he knew what he was doing and she didnt want to be stuck fighting multiple giant monster rather than just one. Rocks were being thrown by the monster and as Nel caught up with chrono pieces of debris rained down on them only to be blocked by her mana barrier as the rocks smashed against the cliff face.Need some help?

*Below*
Mae! Ebinoth yelled, seeing the smaller female getting pulled sent him into a rage. He swated the halm monsters aside with ease, smashing two or three each time he swept his hammer at them. He got over to mae and saw the hands pulling at her, he drew his scimitar and hacked at the grabby hands Get the fuck off of her! he roared, pulling mae clear and getting her back on her feet.

Zalr'gan got in the middle of Turgies and her mate. It was her job to keep herself able bodied as the medic so she could patch up anyone that got hurt. She saved her mana rather then throwing bolts, in this place mana deprivation would likely do more damage to her then these goblins. She tried to do her part adding her own sword with jabs at the mutilated faces of the humes.

Summery - Reka fell down a hole where an imp and giant snake took her to a treasure room. / Chrono is having sushi.

Down, down below~
Reka could indeed feel a dagger in her hand. At that moment the imp decided to laugh hysterically in her face.
It was no Tur'geis breath, but it was rannk all the same. It asked with glee 'where more pretties? where more?'
Reka faked another cough. The imp looked to the snake which loosen a bit.

A bit of spit followed by cold steel met the imp's face.

Up above~
The giant squidy or whatever it was mad. Very mad. With a mighty swing a limb it sent Chrono away.
Or at least it thought for a moment as Chrono stabbed into said limb and held on.
Whipped back and forth high in the air the halm continued to laugh,
"IT IS GREAT TO BE ALIVE!"

Jak followed Gaul's instructions and grouped up with everyone, making sure they were a nice defensive formation against the strange and hostile creatures. He didn't know what these things were, nor did he care. The raider saw them as a threat to not only himself and his mate, but also his friends and stalling him from finding Reka. As the creatures drew closer, Jak let loose his giant sword on them, hacking and slashing through with minimal effort. Though they were weak, really weak, there were enough of them to overwhelm them all if they made mistake. Suddenly he saw Mae start to disappear she was being dragged into. "Hey! We need to help Mae!" The young pup said as he deflect another attack from the shambling creature before slicing off its head.

A stroke from Tur'geis' great pole-sword clove through the shoulder-bone and ribs of one of the degenerated humans, sending it to the floor in a welter of bright red gore. With the fury of a man possessed, Tur'geis snapped his weapon to the side and sliced through another beast's torso resulting in another spout of blood. Aisha clung to Tur'geis as if he was a piece of flotsam on the open sea, her eyes closed tightly due to fear of the frightening creatures before her.

Jak'sura mentioned something about Mae. It broke the Am'saag's bloodlust enough for him to search for her in the melee. He saw Ebinoth dragging Mae away from a group of the malformed humans. "Towards Mae!" Tur'geis roared to Jak'sura and Zalr'gan, picking Aisha up and onto his back. One more of the monsters sprung at the three drow and Aisha, only to be rebuffed mid-air by the blade of Tur'geis' bisentou. "Woah! Were you born that ugly?" snarled the Highland Raider as the split pieces of the dead monster fell to the ground.

Mae almost kicked Ebinoth out of sheer terror as he stated cutting the creatures with their long fingers and tight grip on her helmet and shoulder. The fingers and hands bled their dark blood and their grip loosened and dropped poor Mae back into the fray.

She coughed and breathed in precious dusty air, realizing for the first time they where hanging her by her leather strap. Leaving a blue mark across her neck.

A dusty Gaul, cleaved and stabbed his way back to the group, forcing his way to the hole where Reka was last seen. Shit! "Some one get a rope!" Gaul shouted over the roar of the fighting.

* * *

The Octopi seemed undeterred by the harry human advances. Its libs where a hard rubbery texture and didn't bleed when stabbed or poked at. It raised a rock above his head and brought and tired to bring it down on his head like hammer.

All the while the fort was pressed hard by hoard of clawing, dirt encrusted husks of what use to be humans.

*underground*
Ebinoth saw the group coming back together, it was a reassuring sight. This long brawl never seemed to end Where in the fuck do they keep coming from?! he said, sweeping his hammer from left to right putting three of the diminutive creatures down. He swung again and again but yet more approached him and mae Do you got a rope tur'geis?! he roared. Ebinoth looked down into the hole for a moment, he hoped Reka was doing alright.

*Surface*

"How do I let myself get roped into this shit?" Idra'nel thought, fighting giant squids was not at all what she believed she signed on for when she said yes to this job. Reka's crazy halm was enjoying himself at least. She reached out with her left hand towards the water. She froze large pillars of ice and threw them into the squids eyes. Deflect this!

Zalr'gan knew it was her job to keep healthy and undiminished and not to put her sword or mana arts to over aggressive use. Following Tur'guis, she found use in finishing off these warped goblins that still had life in them to twitch and maybe lunge in their final bid to take one of the Sargress warriors with them into death or at least trip them up with their guts.

It was mercy she was giving these wretches by plunging her sword tip through throats and severing the spinal cord behind. *spitch* and a sickeningly low pop of bones separating. Blood would spurt in unnaturally high gout when she took blade back. The mortals hearts fluttering and trying desperately to keep their bodies alive, only causing the blood to drain from them in floor slicking amounts.

Zalr'gan's face was stone as she did her butcher's work. A good many of the twisted humes were young and coupled with there diminutive stature. She tried not to think about how much it was like killing children, a ready laid low by warrior blades whimpering on the floor. Her off hand unconsciously covered the child she knew was in her.

Far below and to the side of the craziness above, Reka was traped by imp and snake in a treasure room.
Or at least by the snake.
As the dagger sunck deep into the imp's eye it reared back in pain before knocking a bronze statue over. Intreasing enough, there was no 'splat' sound as the statue crushed the imp in a bloody paste. Just more of a 'thud'

Reka counted her blessings at that for it seemed that once it's master was dead the snake lost interest of Reka.
It was only for a moment however, for anything a snake is wrapped around it will naturally want to squeeze.
Yet in that moment Reka had room to get one arm free.

Cold steel met yet another face that day and the snake fell dead.
With her handiwork done Reka now had time to reflect that she was hurt, alone, and most importantly in a room with a sizable amount of treasure.

Chrono was a tad busy to jump to anyone else's defense.
Busy fighting a giant tencicale monster.

Jak continued to cut his way into the undead horde just as he heard someone yell out for some rope. "Hang on! I got some rope!" The young raider yelled out as he cut down some more of the undead humes around his mate, before heading towards to Mae. Slaying anything that even close to him, Jak quickly unslinged his backpack, making sure not to drop is sword in the process, before pull out a long length of rope. He quickly handed the rope to Mae before strapping his pack back on, and quickly headed towards his mate once more, making sure that none the monstorities hurt his love and his unborn child.

"Yeah!" called out Tur'geis in response to Ebinoth's question. He handed over some rope to Jak'sura and covered the other Raider on his way to bring the rope to Mae and Ebinoth. Tur'geis' glaive blade flashed out again and severed the head of another creature, its glassy eyes watching in stunned surprise as the head was sent flying through the air only to land in a gory welter. The Am'saag looked about, finding that the surviving creatures who attacked them had retreated for the time being. But there was little time to waste, they needed to get Mae and Reka out of the pit.

"You alright?" he uttered to Aisha, still clinging to his back, eyes closed as she shuddered in fear.

"Yes..." she whimpered.

"I just made the bad things go away for now. Let's keep moving so we can get back to the others, okay?" he explained to the young feral as he rubbed the top of her head. Tur'geis looked down into the pit, Mae was there and needed help getting out, but there was no sign of Reka. Dammit... They couldn't leave her here.

"Is Mae going to be okay?" whispered Aisha to Tur'geis.

"Of course!" said Tur'geis confidently as he moved to pull Mae out of the hole in the ground. He didn't want poor Aisha to panic more and risk bringing anything nastier down on them.

After looking about to check if the coast is clear, Tur'geis took hold of Jak'sura's rope and pulled Mae back down to their level with a strong pull. He didn't think any of the creatures would follow her but Ebinoth and Gaul would make sure of that.

"Check her for injuries, I'll see to the rest before we get Reka back!" growled Tur'geis as he went back to Jak'sura and Zalr'gan with Aisha in close tow. "You two alright? Hell of a fight back there. I was worried this trip was getting boring!" he chuckled with a grin.

The dirt, moldy air the ruins gave never tasted so good in her life. Mae was propped up against a wall, where she was dazed and not all sure what was happening around her. If a creature was left standing, she was in no condition to stop it. Even if it was trying to kill her.

Gaul did yet another head count. Reka was the only one still not here. "I need two volunteers to go down there and get Reka out. The rest of you, get this place secure. Who's the Medic here tend to Mae."

*Below*

Ebinoth moved up to Mae, gave her a big hug and a kiss, tears in his eyes I was so worried about you! Are you okay!? Mae? he said looking at her, she was obviously dazed. He let her rest against the wall and get help from the healer. He was mad now, something got one of his friends and hurt his mate. Ebinoth didn't even bother to reply to Gaul's question, he just rushed into the hole to find Reka and rip whoever took her limb from limb.

*Above*

The beast started to submerge and Nel breathed a sigh of relief, thank sharess that was over. At least it didn't end the way all those dirty books Ebinoth reads said it was supposed to, that she could be thankful for. She stood over the pool for a few moments, wondering what she was supposed to do now. She sure as hel wasn't jumping in there, fighting underwater was outside of her purview of her abilities. Hey Chrono, do you see a way to get to the gang?
