Fahir, Laerei and Brooke are keeping watch over their "guest".
Reza misinterpreted my script a bit:
Fahir has two swords, Laerei has a two-handed axe and Brooke has a crossbow. Fahir's swords are sheathed while Laerei is leaning on his axe trying to look casual. Brooke is holding the crossbow but it is pointing at the deck.
I also made a typo. Fahir's first sentence should read: "I hate moments like this."
Vars is telling Visal to get those who might know a bit of old elven, hoping it will help in communicating with the dragon.
Noh has forgotten about keeping hidden from sight, being fascinated with how these dragons fly.
Alkarasu is trying to look casual while intently studying the surroundings to look for landmarks.
Mae'torani alerts G'elde and Tar'shay (who is randomly a drowolath instead of a drowussu for some reason) about the new situation.
Dycle is taking away Sil'thara's pain for a bit while Ombr'eh is using blood sorcery to try to extract the bad blood around the infected area. Extracting only the bad blood instead of just taking away all the blood in that area is very intricate and delicate work, requiring intense focus and a deft hand. Meaning it is quite exhausting. Try to think of it as running a mile in 4 minutes and then threading a dozen needles as fast as you can.
An'jhali is communicating with the dragon when a commotion is heard, she turns to it, her jaw falling open in surprise while the dragon grips his lance, tense and ready for trouble.
Turns out that it's Kalla, who has stolen Kris'tian's underwear (the sparkly ones, for special nights with his lover). Kalla suddenly notices the dragon and hides behind An'jhali, sparkly pants forgotten.
Kris'tian (who was supposed to be butt naked, but whatever) also stops dead, wondering what the heck is going on.
He'd come back to his bunk (where he found Kalla and started chasing her) after a long shift in the engine room and had missed everything about the dragons completely.
An'jhali is thoroughly embarrassed and nervous that this will ruin their first contact with the dragons.
The fact that the dragon starts to laugh its ass off at this spectacle is hopefully a good sign.
