Well, first order of business is getting you guys some decent armor so you guys don't have to go into the battlefield in your street clothes. ST says that light armor is the ideal choice for the MS. Anything heavier will make it more taxing on the MS. I already got a an idea for MS armor thanks to Reza. Allow me the chance to do it and I'll get you guys armor.

I'd like to throw this out now that it's been a long time since the last thread was created, and the DT wiki is updated with a list of sorceries and things each sorcery can do.

Couple of random things happening right now in the Mana Specialist department as of this post:

  • MS are trying to learn how to seal, using Anjhali's summoning techniques. Sealing Arts will be trained by the MS, and eventually they will be wearing armor with sealing gems embedded inside.

  • Timotheus' glider works with wind foci, but wind affinity users have greater control of it

  • MS and engineers can work together to create foci to embed into armor

  • On the surface (and away from cities and towns), we are sort of anchored to the mana pool the ship numbers provide if we want to use big spells, so no large spells when we're in limited mana areas

Projected Mana Specialist ideas

  • Use of poisons (liquid and powder) with wind, water, and blood sorcery. May require testing on slaves at the colony to perfect.

  • Practicing entombing with ice and earth sorcery for emergency demon/beast/person trapping (mostly aimed at demon trapping, because that is the last safe resort when no sealers are about)

  • Exploring other alternatives to Empathy and Blood healing, such as bone sorcery, using wood arts to create medicinal herbs, cauterizing with fire sorcery, water sorcery(?)

This was definitely needed... I do have 1 suggestion to kick things of: Maybe it would be wise to add notations to the various sorceries to indicate not all of them are available to everyone? "Blood" for example is limited to those with Healer training iirc... Ice might also be covered in this, as it was only ever learnt by the Harvesters back in Chel (The MS can create foci for it, but actual 'sorcery' is limited if it exists at all anymore).

Things like that are relevant and important (don't want people getting the wrong ideas of what they can/can't do as an MS).

Well about that, I was under the assumption that because PTP is open to more folks, new players can assign themselves with a sorcery previously not seen before. Like Dycle and his empathy.

But I agree that certain common sorceries are limited, like Blood for medical purposes

Leaving this here for posterity XD

Starve it of mana, then seal
Lead it away with mana, or lead it towards you with a mana shield (then seal it)
Entomb it with ice or earth sorcery, crush it and seal

Due to the nature of a High Artist Training is its been don't as a high art I assume its in the inventor. Lumi used ice during the early days of the colony so I count it as in the inventory.

Seeing as that my goal for playing PTP is to advance the Arts within the clan, I will try to explore every avenue I can. Once things settle down with this airport I want to try and push for Sealing Arts training again... we still need to find a place for the queen to summon safely (Cannot be on the ship deck)

I should go through PtP2 and add in when we learned to do what there too, as well as PtP3 as that's when air came into play and was learned...

Well my character is a wind user since she has been shown to use it and has been a healer under the supervision of Elif in the past so using blood sorcery is something she is used to.

Theoretically I have Ice sorcery from PTP 1, for what that's worth.
If I knew what I was doing I'd be dangerous.

Dycle was show to be using wind for a limited flight ability in PtP2 the Ithrin campaign and throwing rock spikes, which I consider "direct". ICE made it into PtP2 when we where filling Tim's underground bunkers with slaves and food stores. Eh, remember, you wanted everyone to live in dirt caves.

Also, on a serious note. How about contacting Medea to develop Wood high arts and foci's in the underway/home times.
