Feral Hunt

Postby benuminister on Wed May 02, 2012 9:34 pm

Now I don't know about everyone else but those raccoon ferals have been officially taken the step from pests to hostiles? Now I propose a scouting group made of hunters and explorers be sent out to scout out their tribal areas.

I plan to ask the Ferals this coming LA if they have any knowledge that can help us locate the little nuisances so we can get our golems back.

I´m more for enslaving or for forcing them to accpet our supremance and then act as our allies against/for the other feral tribes living in this forest. They´d be good guides and raiders as well as scouts for us.

I'd say subjugate if possible, if not kill with extreme prejudice.

If Thalar didn't want a feral genocide she shouldn't have made them attack us ^^;
still, if they are nomadic it'll be harder to take them out, I think a "Kill on Sight" rule, would be best

Orrul gave us 2 possible targets. The big tree in sector F17 is a rallying point of those raccoon nomad groups and the existence of their bigger nastier feral brothers to whom our feral kitties allies are not welcomed but those raccoons like living with. We use our feral buddies to show us where the big brothers are and we can begin a cleansing where the enemy will be destroyed to the last or driven off to the point that they can no longer pose a threat to our caravans.

It's possible that the "big brother home" is that place with the deadly spores that appeared in the MA that was close to the colony, but if it's not, I'm all for the cleansing of the ferals to protect our caravans and further expeditions.

Who are these "big brothers"? I'm a little afraid of messing with the raccoon ferals of we don't know what big brother allies they could have... But at the same time, that means that the ferals could become even more trouble if we don't take care of them. They could start raiding us with the help of these big brother guys.

I think they´re Noz, basically feral orcs or feral humans so to say. Or just bigger, stronger and much more dangerous ferals who had their share in attacking drow colonies.

Despite everything, I am still opposed to outright genocide. The Raccoon Ferals have clearly put themselves in the 'definite enemy' camp, but "war" and "genocide" are not one in the same, and never should be.

We push them back (away from our city), force them out of the region altogether if need be, enslave any of those we take alive... Whatever it takes to make it clear to them that they should avoid us like the plague ( :P ). Genocide is overkill in terms of achieving this outcome.

It's a bit early to say how we'll deal with them exactly. Right now we just need to find out if there are any major pockets near us or not.
