What is your opinion of the SM hunting The TK? This would not effect PTP in any way

SlaveMaster and Path to Power

Postby blackjack217 on Thu Jan 12, 2012 12:13 am

Recently the people in SlaveMaster got the idea to go recruiting the Teikaliath. So soon enough Kern wandered in and said:
13:46 admin: Slavemasters, you cannot hunt player characters from PTP unless offered.

So here we are. Are you okay with you character being involved? And what is your opinion on the possibility the SM will go after our NPC's? Just to be absolutely clear this would have no in game influence on PTP. The only way I can imagine it having an influence is if it brings over some new people from SM, or vice versa. If you agree to allow your character to be featured, please give me a post so I can add you to the list.

The list:
Ninorok
Anarath
Minala
Dycle
Leonis
Born
Sil'Thara
Aleria
Hetros
Tsuris'Zinn
Gojinki
Visal
Taruna
Leonis
Sen'gil

I wouldn't personally be comfortable with my character being part of it (for one thing, I don't have SM access) but if other people want to that's entirely their right, and as long as it's only characters whose players have given express permission I don't see any problems.

Only people who are both active in PTP and SM' should be allowed to be shown in SM only after they officialy declared to Kern that they have given their permision.

I give my permission for my character Minalia to be featured in SM should the SM decide to hunt for tekaliaths.

What.

Kern doesn't even pay attention to anything PTP, but he hangs out in slavemaster shoutbox and talks about shit like this?

We are intently waiting for ANY information about what's gonna happen to PTP, and this is what's on his mind?

God damn this site sometimes.

I give permission for Dycle. But its more an issue of the SM's rules. SM can only hunt those which he knows off. He only know Marcial, is she even alive?

Mariciel is still listed as alive and is active leveling up smithing.

I don't care. They can have Ninorok, but NOT Jana. He's an ex-whore, so he'd probably fit in.

I don't have SM access though, but if he ends up getting involved, I could change my mind.

If other people want to get their character's involved that's fine with them, but I wouldn't be comfortable with either of my characters being involved.

As for our NPCs', I kinda figure they belong to Kern and DT studios anyway so it's a moot point.

Brorn would be available. Heck, Brorn would become a Slavemaster cultist the moment he knew there was a perverted demon lord of awesome. A crazy awesome jack of trades with a penchant for the perverted (on both sexes) and that can fill the roles of miner, engineer, slave driver... scout... mana spec...

What´s Slavemaster about and what´s with the hunt stuff?

Will our charas die/become slaves or something if we agree or do i misunderstood something?

I could offer Sen'gil, after all maybe we´d get some players from SM who are more active than the ones we have over here, hording tools but never use them to level up at all. <_<

Also did anyone heard about Kern and co.´s proposal considering PtP 2.0?

This is just some talks some ptp2 folks had about in the DD shoutbox about having the SM considering some hunt for recruiting folks to help build his settlement in the waste land west of the amaranth region.

All the Admin said that only folks in ptp2 who are active in SM can be shown if they give their permission that their characters be shown in SM. The events of SM is in 1115 not in 1108 that is our current present time.

I am up for my character being hunted.

And I am the one who originally floated the idea of not hunting PtP2 Characters, but engaging in interaction with the colony. Others took it to mean a "hunt".

And I do not see it being terribly difficult for the Master, when he finds Mariciel, to locate the rest of the colony and start trade, or hunting or recruiting.

My idea, is basically cross promotional, and allows those attention whores of us to maybe be featured to a wider audience. Granted we would lose control of our creation but such is what happens when you allow others control and input.

Personally I see that it would require someone to be somewhat active in the PtP2 community, or at least in the comic/Archive/voting. That would promote people to be active across both sections. And as Catariana said, they doesn't have access, but if their character gets involved in SM, and it is announced that they are, then they would consider an SM account.

I quit SM because it wasn't cost efficient with the other things I had going on. However, I've recently quit some of those things, so I would not be adverse to picking back up the subscription. I just hadn't had a reason to do so because I don't input advices anyway, which updating your DD access for SM would allow.

But if it's going to be that much of a hassle, I'd rather not inconvenience anyone.
