I guess that the most prominent thing in story right now is the Dvergar and how to deal with them. I suggested training and trust exercises as a way to get to know them better and establish some sore of understanding between our two races. Not saying it's a perfect plan, on the contrary I think there might be some small disputes if handled incorrectly, but I thing it will be an important first step if we want to get on a good footing with them.

Aside from that I am waiting for the Nals to return, hopefully with ferals in tow, so we can start working on our halme.

Jeez, you just read the skype channel and just go ahead and do stuff me and me mate had been talking about not even 6 hours ago?

Still its good to see a thread like this again, been over a year since we had 1. Remember to renew the title each week after each LA update to reflect what happens.

I agree, let's keep this one alive.

edit:
First order of business. Anyone disagree or think the city planning stuff needs to go very differently? I've tried to leave it as open ended as possibly but I think for the most part I've set up some good ideas and we should stick to that plan so we don't just build roads willy-nilly.

Thalar does not and will not bother with links on plans unless its for a contest for a new design or something when it comes to the LA.

Nice try though Heteros. The thing for the LA min had nothing to do with what was said on skype but if it works, it works.

Actually this thread is a result of our discussion - I have been then hunting the Skype chat for someone, who would be willing to maintain the thread (e.g. be sure he will be able to update it based on the actual LA situation) - I could not promise it due my working schedule (I know I will be disapprearing time-to-time for week or two). So I have convinced Biel to do it - no need to poke him ;) .

I hope too - I will try to check back the issues we have been talking about in the paralel thread with Hetros. The goal si to try to keep the focus of the organizable players on two-three main issues plus some additional to not overwhelm the LA with "quickshots".

EDIT: Some LA issues discussed or noticed elsewhere (and not noticed in the discussion above)

- primary issue - the Ferals (it is an old issue, I am putting it here just for sure) - find village, visit, establish relation ship
- primary issue - the armored halmes - find more about them (a possible threat)
- primary issue - Nal trade - finish establishing the trade route - find what else we could trade (this then goes to E/PA + BA)
- secondary issue - goblins (halmes, kotorcs) - what is our general scheme for longer period - kill, conquer, enslave, trade... ?
- secondary issue - there is an idea to turn the ruins to stone sources (after these has been explored) and as these are kind of memorials of our ancestors, we might ask Anji what she thinks about it (before posting it to EA) viewtopic.php?f=76&t=16098
- RP issue - festival - viewtopic.php?f=76&t=15800
- unknown priorty - any quests that might come up from searching the ruins, venturing too far from our core city etc...

This is a small list of things we have to do in the EA. Mainly because it is IMPOSSIBLE to do in the map interface.

-The iron mine in J-27, i have talked with Thalar concerning that issue. She basicaly told me and the others on the skype channel that getting to that iron mine via digging a tunnel was a great idea in her opinion since the current system makes that impossible. Someone with a team of dedicated folks will have to mine for a few turns..or a lot of turns to reach the iron veins and get that iron manualy in the EA instead of the map interface. The more miners dig that ore the more we will get per EA turn. Exactly like in the old ptp1.

-The boat trip, we need more fish, we always need more food, the more diversified our diet, the better our chances of survival due that if we rely only on 1 or 2 source of food we are gonna be in a world of hurt once we hit a wall on those sole food sources. This needs a crew of dedicated players to make that project work. It only takes 3 turns to make this into a successful run. And this can be repeated as often as possible. Hell we can even build more docks to the marshlands to fish there as well in the north. But a small part of the group decides to ditch the damn boat advice midway, then that fishing trip becomes a absolute waste of time for the entire group of volunteers. All it takes for it to be ruined is only 2 or 3 folks decide to vote on something else. We got damn lucky on that first try.
A survivalist should not be a pessimist, he should always be positive, happy and enjoying life more than anyone else because he understands that each minute of peace we have is precious and unique, and he never takes it for granted.

I think it's 5 votes, since NORMALLY the vote is supposed to include the one who proposed it as well >> so you need 4 people signed on besides the one who suggested it.

Thread Update Time!

Not much more then a day and we already have 9 different Event actions suggested. Personally I was hoping to collect those bones but with the amount of good ideas I`ll leave it to another turn. Not like they were going anywhere for the moment anyway.

It also seems we have been hooked in with another plot related event. What are these shadows? My best guess is those raccoon ferals again.
