Tei'kaliath Warrior Thread

Postby Taruna on Tue Feb 15, 2011 10:44 am

(== Updated: September 11, 2012 ==))

- Greetings and welcome to the Tei'kaliath Wariror's thread.

This place will be your further base of Operations regarding the future plans of the Warriors. And despite the name it is NOT exclusively for those who have chosen the warrior profession to discuss plans and bring in your ideas. Since PtP is a cooperative game, input from all and everyone is welcome and will be handled equally to ensure a well tunes course of actions.

II would like to join the Eh'rin squad as a Doctor/Warrior.

This squad will face a great number of risky operations that will result in grave wounds. A medic can only heal minor wounds. If a warrior is wounded beyond what a medic can cure, at least two members has been taken out of play; the medic and the wounded. As a doctor first, I can heal serious wounds so the warrior can continue operations without hampering the team.

My background also includes knowledge of plants. Part of intelligence gathering is research of what plants can be used for and what plants are available to both friend and foe. While botany may be an unorthodox function, considering how little we know about the surface and the importance of knowing a poison from a healing herb, botany will be a useful skill. With me on board, the recon group will also be a source of important information about the plants, since the group, always on the move, will see the greatest variety of plants.

As a warrior, I can fill the role of a reduced lethality specialist by using a staff. It also will allow me to approach groups or camps without raising alarm, since a staff is less threatening and can be confused with a walking stick. I can even be frisked by guards for blades. This is useful if the group needs a closer inspection of the target.

The wargolem technician job of eldrin unit is interesting but the wargolem is gonna take at least 3-4 months of real life time to get built. Unless you guys can find a roaming wargolem close by or a disabled old wreck in semi good shape and manage it to disable it and haul it back.

The tech heads will need a lot of time to fix it and modify it so it can allow a pilot inside of it to increase its lethality its still gonna take weeks before its operational.

Best bet is that the wargolem in that squad will have for the time being will be a big 4 legged pick up truck with a excavator arm installed on it to haul back broken golems. That i can get built asap but it might take me a month.
A survivalist should not be a pessimist, he should always be positive, happy and enjoying life more than anyone else because he understands that each minute of peace we have is precious and unique, and he never takes it for granted.

Please contact Eh'rin directly, so I get to know who to add from the squad creator directly and avoid confusion.

A soon-to-be mounted light scouting or heavy attacking chivalry would be something extremely nice to have... *throws bait in the room*

Thanks for putting this up Taru! I was seriously concerned i might have to put up some 'for roster purposes only' thread somewhere...

I accept Gemini to my team, What he said about the role pretty much covers everything i want (I hope you know what you getting yourself into Gem :P).

Minalia, the 'tech' part of the warrior/tech combo is relatively minor. They wouldn't be expected to be building the things, just operating and maintaining those created by others. Furthermore, who better than someone with tech to determine the weaknesses of hostile golems and how best to exploit those weaknesses. Out of combat, they would also do a range of things, unlocking golem doors while searching ruins being one more entertaining possibility (In many ways the 'tech' would be an in-house 'hacker').

I do. The fastest way to gain experience in both fields is with your group and I do intend to take my fair share of risk. I might die, but the pay off for the clan is worth the risk.

I'm going to make a suggestion request here...

Fahir D'salla - warrior/guerilla (trap specialist/sabatoeur/scout), Squad Eh'rin
Insanity - A state of mind in which the afflicted acts outside of social norms.
....Well I guess the sane are in a minority then.

Expressing interest in a mana arts option, if available. Otherwise a sword and board equipped for heavy combat. The things we seem to be missing are a cavalry unit and a ranged support squad.

Squad Taru, Heavy Defense, give me my sword back or reforge that bad boy into a one handed battle spear.

Since Durlyn claimed the shield, you can have your sword reforget into a spear. ^^;

Added Gemini as Doc to Squad Eh'rin, also added Durlyn as defender and Meck as Spear attacker for Squad Taru. If there are objections or mistakes, please let me know immediately.
