PtP2: The Emperor's New..

Postby Thalar on Sun Feb 06, 2011 1:13 am

This just in: The Tei'kaliaths have acquired cloth in abundance and will all be allowed new clothes after the timeskip. Also, hairdressers are at the scene.

Or in other words: It's just been confirmed that everyone can change their outfit between PtP and PtP2. Including hair style if they so wish.

Remember that these are your clothes, not your armor. So easy on the metal and bulkiness.

Please don't upload new outfits into the system until after the timeskip, to avoid confusion.

But feel free to show them to us in the images thread in the meantime! :D

query then, my dear:

it's likely due to my absence but, when you say no armor, does this mean the clan will continue to be pumping out uniformed armor? How does this effect the players who like me, want to take a more independent role with their character and would prefer to have a unique set of armor, including weapons?

The armors can only be built by players who will want to level up smith and have gathered the materials be it metal or leather and dyes to create the armor of their choice. This be 1 way of making a new custom made armor.

I've been thinking about what Tor 2.0 will look like, so here's one possibility:

Image

I want to keep some of the same elements but also make her look older, and by the time the timeskip happens she'll physically be the same age as me, oddly enough.

And a slightly different version with the same basic idea (I'm going back and forth about the leg wrappings):

It's all drawn by one man. If being unique is all that matters to you, go for clothes which you could put padding underneath. Then create padding for your character to wear underneath their clothes. But this is really a question about PtP2 mechanics, not about the change of regular outfits.

There is none, from what I think Thalar said. ATM, we're just getting the OK, but we won't be submitting anything until the new system is in place. Er...if I read it correctly.

You read it correctly, Jana =)

Right now we can just take time to think, to deliberate on costume/hair changes as much as we want, experiment back and forth. Just don't add it to your in-game profile until PtP2 starts, to prevent confusion :D But I assume that once PtP2 does start, it would be good to have the new outfit/hairstyle ready before you're featured for the first time (and thus your new appearance 'fixed') just in case.

That *could* be how my Sen'gil will look like in PtP 2.0:

I added the green scarf and the green golem eye cause otherwise it wouldn´t look unique/cool like my other did before or so i thought.^^
