I think we can drop the mana specialist subject for now since it's only going to frustrate the Illharess further. if I look at this as an RP-er I think this is a hint to not push on but rather to try a different approach and keep our eyes open for a hook that will lead us to assigning a mana specialist.

Now what is Anjhali going to do next turn? I like the idea of the Illharess visiting different workplaces again, seeing her clan at work could be a good morale boost. and I can't reall think up anything else at the moment.

There isn't a whole lot we can ask An'jhali to do at the moment. There aren't any real pressing concerns (eg Slavers visits) nor any explicit goals (eg Capture the ruins) that aren't under the field of a ranked member. If we approach her with issues that are best suited for a ranked member to handle, I'm sure she'll just chastise us (again...as usual) about how we're not going through the proper channel.

((I'm sure if we let things get too quiet, Kern will send the next event at us.)) Now that we secured a base of operations, we don't have any goals to actively pursue, do we? All we can really do ((as faceless)) is sit here, build up our home, and wait ((for stuff to happen to us.)). I'm sure once we get the mine or the 'mysterious' door in the fort open, we'll then have something to decide on. In the meantime, all we can do is coast and enjoy the respite. Perhaps we could ask her to furtively survey her people for a status update on the Clan's condition?

The Chel lookout scouts will return this EA turn, possibly with information from the techs at the mine/golems which may require a decision from An'jhali either this LA turn or next. The question is whether this should be phrased simply as "An'jhali, please make a decision on the mine/golems," or as a set of vote options such as "Appropriate them for the clan," "Inspect them further," "Leave them alone until we know if they belong to anyone," etc.

This decision may have a major effect on later events, so I do not think Kern would want us to default to the Ill'haress, in effect making Kern choose our path for us. However, I also do not want to subject An'jhali to a barrage of different vote options so soon after the last time and get her mad at us again. *hmmm*

I think the most pressing issue right now and well since the exile has been the lack of participation among the faceless. The Ill'haress should go confront the faceless and ask them why they are not working.

I know, and as long as the scouts are out scouting, we aren't the ones she is venting her frustration on and beating up. :B

This has been tried repeatedly with mixed results. The only time we really got a response (more participating in the forums and volunteering to work for ranked members) was when Katralya was shorthanded and the clan was in danger of going hungry. Kanzalika's crisis was arguably worse and the response this time was tepid. With no clear need the appeal will very likely be ignored. *sigh* Currently participation is at an all time high of over 40% (ranked and assistants). It was more like 20% (or less) this time last year. We're doing a lot better than before.

Hm, just one thing. Has anyone thought of making a "Queenmaker" (Kingmaker) thread in which we could discuss how do we want to shape Anjhi in the future? She is an angular stone of our clan, and we must put extra care as if it was a ranked member labour.

I just tought of something, maybe the Illharess can meet with the ex-slavers to learn more about Chel ? We have been building her body the previous turn this could help build her knowledge.

Yes. Or lead her to the joker lady and give her a whip and say "Happy birthday, Ilharess!"

Actually not a bad idea.

Hmm... with the big amount of new information we might need a Vizir-Priestess-Scholar rank, one that takes care of diplomacy and lore :V

Okay, so the idea of a mana specialist is out the window for the time being. I think we spooned it up on that one guys. ^^;

It seems to me, now is the time that everyone should relax and wind down, before Sharess throws another crisis at us...
...
Okay, relaxing is boring! This may seem wierd, coming from a warrior, but we aren't all about war and training and efficiency. Perhaps we should spend some time trying to develop our culture and peaceful pastimes. Or maybe that will just turn us into a bunch of weak, Sullisin'rune fops...

I think the reason for the drop in votes is because when our existance isn't threataned, people don't seem to think making themselves heard is as important. Everyone is in agreement about how to relax when we should be exploring different possibilities, but everyone always seems to have a different oppoinon about what's best when it's urgent and we need to present a united front... Drow nature I guess.

((The drop in votes could also be related to Reza's predicament and Kern's trip. That can happen when there's a lack of updates, no matter what the reason. Now that things are back on track, we should see the numbers pick up again. It might take a few turns for it to kick in, however.))

Thought of something last night, what about that apple? Maybe suggest to An'jhali some sort of contest, another Ti'ray one with the apple as the prize or something?

You guys are reading too much into the drop in votes. There is one really obvious reason staring you in the face: update delay. Daydream voting does the same thing when the updates start lagging. Now that the updates are coming regularly again the voting participation will gradually recover.
