The Nal Ultimatum

Postby Jonarus_Drakus on Fri Mar 04, 2011 6:56 pm

How do we react to the Nal "suggestion" regarding An'jhali?

(1) Put it into An'jhali's own hands... "Stay with Nals or Stay with the Clan. The choice is yours alone... >bows<" (73)
> Basically we let Kern/Thalar/whoever as "GM" write An'Jhali in whatever fashion is most appropriate to her own 'personality'...
> We will have little say in the result - but we will have a specific 'path' defined for us quickly enough...

(2) No, we stay together - no matter what! "We won't be dictated to - We stay together no matter what!" (58)
> Advice a forceful stance against this 'suggestion' (which to some is no-doubt equivalent to hostage taking).
> We will keep together as a single group, but we will certainly offend the Nals severely in the process...

(3) Sacrifices must be made for the greater good... "You will be safe here, and we must keep the Nals on our side." (60)
> We basically advice An'Jhali to bend her knee to the Nals in order to 'keep them happy'...

Now, i could go spouting off opinions here, but that's not what this poll is about - please keep comments simple - NO TEXTWALLS PLEASE! :P

It's good for Anjhali to stay in Chel for the timeskip. Badai can stay too and get her pregnant. Hopefully she will be more skilled and competent at the end of the process, and more prepared to be an active leader.

I agree. With us gone, An'Jhali will grow up both in her strength as well mentaly and become more independent, something we wanted to achive for years. :D
Also with Badai she won´t be lonley. ;)

You know what's funny? If the Sharen would be the ones behind the colony and would've made the same offer, people would be bitting in their keyboards, typing "Hell, no!". :D
But the Nal's are the good ones. So there's no reason to worry. They will not try to manipulate the TK. Or try to turn you into a subhouse. No, not going to happen. :D

Remember, Kern himself made a point of saying (on more than one occasion) that there are no "good ones" or "bad ones"... There are just a whole bunch of 'factions' that in the end are all out for themselves...

I am willing to let An'Jhali make this decision for herself (for good or ill)... We want her to be more independent and forceful in her role after all...

Agreed, its for the best. This will give her and Badai time to get to know eachother again, make babies, and learn new skills necessary for a Val to rule her clan properly. If all goes according to plan, Anjhali will return to us stronger than ever and with a happy hubby and baby with her *heehee*

We have to give Badai some baby tipps to make sure he gets the hint to knock up our Illhar. GIVE US BADASS TWINS; BADAI! }:3 Yeah, that should be subtle enough.^^

Indeed there's no good and no evil. But there are still my people who think Nal= Goosie, goodies who do no harm; Sharen = evil, selifsh people who only want to use the TK for their evil, selfish plans. ^^;

Don't worry Finish, we all remember that time they screwed us over with the land takeover deal, so we know they aren't saints either, they look out for themselves just like any other clan in Chel would do. However, that was long ago and this time they have nothing to gain from us failing. They need us, we need them, simple as that.

But, who will lead us in the time skip?

The Nals?

Although the time skip hops over a lot of history, it is 15 years without Anji's leadership if she goes to school. Do the Nals want to give us a temp leader or is one among us going to be appointed?

It won't matter, since we won't be playing it. We can pretend the Nals appointed a colonial administrator.

Yeah, the stuff and such we build up in those 15 years are decided now, we won´t do anything as players in those 15 years. Well, maybe we can chose our job before it to gain alevel in it or something like that. :P

Thats the problem. Do we want one? Will they give power back to Anji?
