PtP 2 Will be a "reset". A completely new game in a new setting, new environment and new features. It also goes the "individual" way, means there are no groups or ranked members anymore.
The features contain Jobs (Warrior, scout, builder, smith.. etc) and the chance to switch your job whenever you wish to.
To add to that, you get experience with every action you do as the job you are currently do. That means, that everyone starts with close to 0 experience.
I will now point to the part "individual".
That means, that everyone collects his own experience in a job by doing something constructive, so the proposal to give individuals a head start in this way does have 2 weaknesses:
1.) Reliability.
The player who gets (for example) some levels in "Mana Arts - Fire" does have the ability to do whatever he/she wants to do with it. That includes creating a bonfire as well as burning the entire colony to ashes. so the person should be trusted.
2.) What happens when this person can't pay/ragequits/dies? Right! The skill is gone. And if we payed money for that, it's wasted and could have been used for buying better equipment to make the start easier.
So.. unless the skill will be gained by paying it should be someone who's guaranteed to stay (An'jhali, Badai..) or have to be for free. The entire clan worked hard for that money and I don't want to see that gone to waste.
