Went with Green as well.

Hopefully the settlement works well in this first phase, regardless if Red or Green is chosen. It will be interesting to see how Chel reacts to our expansion...

I don't know, all three of these options seem really inaccurate. Wouldn't it be better to plot out places on the actual map? I can think of some good places to the east that don't take up all our waterfront and places for expansion of the culture pools. This just seems too rough, I think we'd be better not to consider the things shown in the LA as our actual options, just an explanation of the process.

I believe Kern has given us those 3 choices in order to keep the settler zone location simple and easy to understand. Anything more complex will most likely just make him angry and he might just send us something nasty to punish us let's not do that. *doh* We got 3 choices, we pick one, let the settlers get in that zone..and just watch it grow like a gardener observes his plants grow and take out the bad weeds with extreme prejudice to preserve the well being of the garden.
A survivalist should not be a pessimist, he should always be positive, happy and enjoying life more than anyone else because he understands that each minute of peace we have is precious and unique, and he never takes it for granted.

Also it makes more sence if the settlement is close to Ther. After all we have to protect that place and claim overship over it. :)

I'm worried about that too... that place that's been highlighted is the LAST place we wanted them to settle in.

Might be an artist mistake. They SAY eastern, so that part is clear, maybe Reza just colored the wrong spot and pointed at it.

Before we panic, it could be that Xenon's hand gesture was just drawn as a general one... And my primary concern with the southern area has been resolved - our wall will be up first and we'll have space reserved for food-growing before the settlers can build on top of it.

[Edit] - oh you're right about the coloring. Then artist's error, I hope.
