Re: What to do with the Dvara'ka homeland?

The only thing there is some shaped rock, the buildings. Nothing special, unless we find a mine or agricultural resources while looting the place. They were just bandits that lived in the outskirts.

Please stop with wanting to destroy the place.

1) It will not stop anyone from going there and rebuilding anyway.

2) We really don't need to put our Mana Specialists through that crap. See current LA.

Destroying it does nothing but waste our time. Let's get our lewts, figure out what to do with the survivors and leave it alone. A space is a space, people will go there and make that place livable, meaning that tearing down everything was in vain. We really have better things to do with our time.

If the buidlings are destoryed people who use this place will have a harder time. But if they find everything ready for them it's a lot easier to use this place.
Also imagine our settlement grows and caravans move through our cavern using the surface exit. And then they get attacked more often than usually so that
people take a different rout. We investigate and find out that a good organzied group of bandits/mercenaries/ex-slaves just took over the Dvaraka fortress
and used it as base for there attacks.

I don't want to go to the same place twice. So destory it sooner or latter and reduce the risk that someone we don't like take over this empthy place.

We can simply seal the only point of entry..have the builders build a wall to cover the only exit and then camouflage this wall to make it part of the cavern. No one who passes by will notice and go on their way. And we can send the scouts once a month to check if anyone found out about it. Besides we need to make the wall with at least 3-4 feet of solid rock or granite to make sure no one like those pesky relic hunters would want to dig for hours only to find empty ruins.

So you want to seal away land because it might 'potentially' house people that 'might' cause us problems in the future? Destroy the building?

This is not trying to insure the safety of the clan, this is paranoia and excessiveness and to be honest, we don't have the right to do something like that.

No to destroying the land: We would spend TURNS trying to do it and exhaust all of our living resources (Mana Specialists) for a 'just in case' scenario. It is unrealistic and I'm done debating it. Just no.

No Sealing off the land: Guys, we can't be scared of every little thing that's unknown to us. We can't 'try to prevent' all the 'potential' bad things that could happen to us.

If we spend all of our time trying to make sure we're 100% safe from all real and imagined threats we're not going to get anywhere.

Leave it Alone. It's not our land, we don't have to right to do anything to it, we can't control who takes that land, destroying it will not change ANYTHING regardless of whether or not they'd have to rebuild (Seriously. Take every argument you've made about why we should destroy the buildings and every single one of those folks could come and settle there anyway and do everything you fear could 'possibly maybe' happen. Waste. Of. Time.)

And stop trying to kill our mana specialists. You read how much just tearing down what they did exhausted them and you want them to go and destroy everything? Please be reasonable.

They were exausted from combating the enemy mana specialists, not just from knocking over rocks. Basically a magical tug-of-war. Don't disagree with any of your other points however.

I can tell you knowing the builders to do list we have plenty to do with our own home without having to tear down another settlement or building a wall. I have no problem with us going over and taking some buildings down for rock and such but if we try to take the whole place down its pretty much going to be a few turn thing during which someone might come to see what has happened and we get in trouble as its not our land. If you really want it destroyed see if we can't ask the Sharen or someone who has the right to say yes or no to such a thing. Thats just my two cents. Take it as you will.
Do the best you can with what you have.

Let's stop arguing over it until after the division of spoils is settled. As of now we are just speculating about what we MAY have to deal with, not what we know we're going to have to deal with. Time enough to decide afterwards.
If I knew what I was doing I'd be dangerous.
