Private "Candy" Simmons

Gender: Female
Age: 25
Class: Firebat

Background:
Candy grew up one junk rat among many outcasted to scrounge what existence they could on the overly polluted planet sentenced to bear the junk of the more civilized planets. She grew up dirty, resourceful, and with enough audacity to smuggle her way onto one of the 'dump' ships. She didn't exactly plan to end up returning to the fleet - the whole point of getting onto the ship was just to show that she could. By chance more than anything, she ended up rejoining the recruit ships of the Confederate Armed Forces - mostly because she was of appropriate age, attitude, and it took three marines to hold her down once she was discovered wandering about the halls. After the neural resocialization her tendencies were toned down, but certainly not cured. She knows that she has to follow orders, but it doesn't mean she does so happily. Unless it's to burn stuff... yeah... she's good with that.

She ended up among the firebats, individuals of a similar disposition and interests - mainly? Burning things. The woman is as much a pain in the neck to a team as she is an asset. She usually hops from one to another.

Description:
Candy Keeps her hair cut pixie short, spiked, and bright pink. She's a little on the short side, but lays down the heavy hits with ease. She tends to outlast her combat suits - the woman is hardy. Because she over exposed her eyes to too many bright explosions, Candy has undergone some experimental surgery for her eyes. She is the happy test pig for transitionaries - eyes that turn dark when exposed to strong light, and fade back to a reflective mirror colour when it is dark. Well and obviously built for a woman, Candy is less concerned about her looks than most ((despite being well endowed - SG that's for you baby! XD-)) - and not afraid to get a little soot on her face.

When she's not in her suit, Candy wears the pilot suit along with a pair of heavy steel-toed boots and whoever's jacket she finds laying around first.

Candy speaks with a strange backwater accent. Her resistance to the neural implant has forced the need for a modified one to be placed in her head - visible at the back of her head at the base of the spine. The commander of her current squad is given a key word that injects a potent tranquillizer into her system. Usually just having the damn thing there is enough to make her think twice about what she says and does - but it has been necessary. Once or twice.

Equipment:
Candy wears a CMC like it's jeans and a t shirt. She books it in the damn thing, and has the fine tuning adjustments down to a science. She likes the standard double-flamethrower weaponry, but keeps a rifle, grenades, and a personal stash of C4 and detonators handy for those 'special' occasions.

Skills:
Tank Operator
Explosives
Dirty Fighting
Pickpocketing
Scavenging

Poor Kitab. :A

Oh, and just so it's clear to everyone: We are all, in present time, orbiting the planet Helios on the Battlecruiser Tarturas, and will be leaving on a drop ship to the planet to investigate the investigation. Just so it's clear. XD

Posts are never as good the second time round. :c

I need to get back into old habits, first forum I was on when I first started RPing was very unreliable, always copied psts to Word before posting just in case because the majority of times they'd get lost. XD

Another note for everyone! I need to keep making these cause I forget that I haven't posted them in the main thread.

Zerg/Protoss have yet to be encountered by the Terran. As far as the general populace of humans; we're alone in the universe.

Private Matthew "Smartass" Coy

Gender: Male
Age: 25
Class: Marine

Background:

Matthew was born with a lucky start. Son of a wealthy family of Tarsonis, he led a sheltered life from the commodity of upper society. Eventually he went on to one of the most prestigious universities in the planet, and lived an student's life. Studying, dating, frat parties... waking up with extreme headaches not knowing where he was only to find out he was enrolled... Well, something went WRONG at that point. Now stuck in the glorious Marines Confederation (where one couldn't simply walk out through the door again), Matthew had to go through endless drills and rookie courses, without chance to complain, lest he would be a victim of neural resocialization. Over time he performed good enough to be handed permission to swing around guns and other sorts of weapons across the backwater bucket holes of the space. Cynical and jaded from something he didn't want in first place, he often traded barbs and tried to chicken out of duty whenever it was possibly. However, when the stakes were high, and his life was put on the line, another side of him shone. Wretched, pure, unbriddled, malevolent ingeniuty. He would often find unorthodox or propose ways to approach the enemy when everything else failed. And hence, he earned the moniker "Smartass".

Description:

An unassuming average height of 1'78, Matthew was not the athletic type in the beginning, but the time with the marines has paid off in his now toned, slim body. He usually sports a crew cut, more because he's rather lazy, and a goatee. His hair colour and eye color, being brown, is also not unusual. Naturally, he's often seen in a slightly customized CMC armor, that sports a smiley tag on his left shoulder.

When he's allowed out the suit, he dresses very casual, in whatever clothes he finds. He is also fond of sunglasses.

Equipment:
Packing the usual marine gear, which is a CMC suit, the standard issue gauss rifle, a flak gun and a couple of grenades, Matt doesn't bother to carry additional tools, excepts perhaps for his own very electronic agenda, in which he scribbles anotations, does calculations, and plays videogames when he's truly bored.

Skills:
Moderate Firearms and hand to combat
Basic Explosives training
Piloting(Vulture)
Academic and scientific Lore
Quick Thinking / Improvisation

Name: Innocent Moriah Emmerit

Rank: Private

Gender: Female

Age: 22

Class: Firebat

Background:
Whatever her childhood was, it was her life as a nineteen year old that got her where she is now. Always bitter and hostile towards the men who see her as one of them, and the women who she’ll never be truly at home with, Innocent somehow managed to get herself roped into professional knife fights. It didn’t take long before she’d made a name for herself in a particularly nasty arena, gladiatorial cage matches that always ended in death for at least one of the participants.

The right officials were bribed to keep the place open for business, in a discreet manner of course. However, fortunately or unfortunately, a military advisor caught wind of the place and thought that the fighters might make for perfect subjects for an experimental new kind of neural resocialization.

Of course, being experimental the process was hardly refined, and few survived it mentally intact. The conditioning, created to remove all sense of pain from its subjects, ended up doing far more. Those given it were virtually unable to feel anything, only the hardest pressures even registering. Naturally, this made them ideal for the high-heat environment of a Firebat. The mental conditioning also left her unable to refuse orders from those above her in the chain of command, and she is extremely embittered by this mental chain.

Constantly angry and frustrated, she found peace of mind in tending to her armor, working and upgrading it to fit her style. Because of her short but extremely powerful physique, she armor itself is only about as tall as the average human, but is barrel-chested and bulky from all the extra armor she’s worked into it. Naturally, with her short legs and the extra weight, she’s a fair amount slower than another Firebat would be.

Description:
Extremely short, aggressively Spanish, and built more solidly than your average brick wall, Innocent is often mistaken for a man. Though not ugly, her features are square and blunt, lending her an asexual face that combines with her broad-shouldered and well-built frame to make her appear masculine. Add to that the barely perceptible curve of her chest and hips, and you’ve got a girl ready to bust heads whenever her femininity is questioned.

Brown hair cropped close to her scalp, and a tendency towards spandex clothing do nothing to alleviate this impression. Just to further enhance the illusion of her masculinity, Innocent’s entire body is wrapped in thick scars. Rare is even three inches of unmarked skin below her neck, and even her face has a ragged scar that follows the side of her face from forehead to chin.

Equipment:
Combat Knife
Customized CMC-660
-Extra-thick Armor
-Enhanced Actuators
-High-durance Joints and Hydraulics
-Standard Wrist-Mounted Perdition Flamers

Strengths/Skills:
Mechanical Specialty (Primarily focused on her CMC-660)
Extreme Strength and Stamina
Feels No Pain

Weaknesses:
Reduced Sense of Touch
Unable to Refuse Direct Orders
Excessive Aggression

Name: "Quick-Trigger" Nero Van Touser

Rank: Sergeant

Gender: Female

Age: 19

Class: Medic

Background:
The noble daughter of an Old Family. As a child Nero expressed this particular talent for sensing the emotional state of other people; this made her quite sensitive both in terms of compassion and sympathy, as well as violence and aggression. She has always been a mentally, and emotionally unstable individual and when her parents had the child examined it was discovered that she possessed minor psychic talents.
Because of her obvious mental conditions, the Touser family freely offered their youngest daughter to the Confederation government where she would be trained as a Wrangler operative to discover and secure other psychics for the benefit of Ghost training. Unfortunately it was later discovered that her Emphatic discordance caused her to display incredible sympathy and in many cases could not bring herself to forcibly take potential recruits from their families. In the instance that she detected great darkness, anger, or depravity in a `potential`, she would often fly into a violent range, killing the intended recruit.
As a result of this she became widely known as "Quick Trigger" Nero, typically there was very little time between when she met a `potential` and whether or not the woman killed them. While this would normally have warranted a violent response to her conduct, an unbalanced mind, and psychic power made the woman exceptionally difficult to influence by the psychics she was encountering. Although many potentials were killed, those that were not, the military quickly `scooped` up when she was sufficiently unaware of it. They typically turned out to be of higher caliber than the few low-brow, or destitute individuals she had killed. Given that someone with something to lose was prone to achieve more than someone with nothing motivating them. With this in mind, she was allowed to continue in such a manner for some time.
Eventuality and fate however would come to bare in an event affectionately referred to as `the collapse`. Nero's mental state had always been questionable; she could be a lovely young woman, tender, compassionate, sweet and naive, or seemingly the proper torrent of violence one might expect from a battle hardened marine or Stimulant addict. As such, even `mind-wiping` was ineffective. One particular evening, some time after the youth had turned seventeen, the Marine corps to which was assigned her escort would land upon a remote desert planet on the far reaches of the confederation. Nero detected the presence of a particularly young, powerful male psychic. The orphaned child was displayed before the Marines openly by his slaver masters; having been used as a laborer and `mind sweeper` for his overlords more `under the table` dealings. The transfer was to be a simple exchange, however sensing the absolute `corruption` and `breaking` the child had went through Nero collapsed. Perhaps it was the connection of psychic influence, or, perhaps her own emphatic nature had broken the woman's mind further. Regardless. She effectively killed the slaver masters, her own escorts, though in the cross-fire the child was killed and the woman seemed to calm completely. Some time later when a second detachment was dropped onto the scene, it was decided summarily that the woman would be executed; however, when the commanding officer received the report, and investigated the scene for himself, noting Nero cradling the child's broken body, the defeat on her face, `personality wipe` was decided to be the best answer, rather than discarding an asset.

Rather than reassign her to the former tasks of a Monger agent, she was enrolled into the Confederate military academy; her newly aquired `calm` allowed Nero enough patience and control to pass through the rigors of Medical study and combat testing once more until she graduated with full status as a field medic. Unfortunately on her first assignment the woman was forced to tend to the wounds of a Ghost who had only recently returned from an active mission. The subsequent connection of psychic energy, minds, and emotions was enough to trigger her memory. Still in flashes, and still fragments, Nero's formerly unbalanced nature surfaced once more - checked somewhat however by her mind-wipe and personality tampering. Because of this new blend, the woman has often been sent on more sensitive assignments, typically as a mission advisor or support to a Ghost, or acting as a personal `mind shield` for Marines being dropped into a rebel camp who are suspected of having them. While she has been known to act with exceptional violence, her sympathetic nature typically takes precedence allowing her to act in the best interest of her unit and keep them in working health, both mentally, and physically.

Description:
The high collared polymer coat decked in virginal white scaled plates of ceramics and composite carapace; donning the traditional full CMC-405 attire she appeared as a mobile fortress, each clean metallic slate glistening with an almost reflective quality which declared heavy gloss and careful maintenance. An array of violet, ballistic resistant fibres formed two flowing robe like extensions which drifted down over either side of the space between her legs, and waist. Ornate impressions of violet - The Confederate flag - remained stamped upon her shoulders. Her soft, pale face concealed beneath visors steel and plastoid slant, the concept of beauty revealed in snap glances between the motions which revealed all of that facade beneath; lush raven and winter white tresses spilled outside, and over her cranial attire when the mask was deactivated. Her eyes were brilliant and emerald, the woman standing not so much short as she was not tall.

Equipment:
- CMC-450 Light Combat Armor
- Ballistic Alloy Combat Shield
- Heavy Impact Combat Shotgun
- Standard high caliber hand cannon
- B.E.S.S.Y. ; Eviscerator Chainsword
- Stimulants, Medpacs, Chemical injectors, Synthskin cannisters and other various medical supplies.

Skills:
- Psi Rating 5
- Piloting: Shuttles, Transports, Battleships
- Battleship Command
- Swordsmanship
- Inquisitive Talents: Information gathering, tracking, etc
- Medical talents

Full house then?

I'd like to point out that Dakson is not inside his SCV, he is leaning against the dropships wall next to it, he reached inside to retrieve the goggles, but closed the hatch and remained outside.

I should also mention that while acting as a soldier he would have achieved a higher rank, but was demoted to private when assigned to the SCV as it would have looked unusual to have a ranked officer in an SCV. ^^;

That is why I originally had him down as a civilian, not as a military rank.
