((Finally up... Map is in other thread for gawds. Look to the signup thread for advice on 'how to play'.))

The stakes were set, the pieces laid and the divinities were all sitting around like the bored omnipotent beings they are, however what is a game for a handful of gods is a life for millions below. Militants to the east, Flagellants to the west. A major metropolis and a blasted warzone. Would the games for tonight lead them to salvation or damnation?

Only Fate knew. And it couldn't be bribed.

Wendrelial's Chosen Opened his eyes,
Undre Bhalqest saw a new world. Slowl he rose, and looked at the streets.

He Smiled. These urban enviroments... he was fond of them, even though the suffering of the masses in more primitive worlds was easier prey... He liked these ones.

Slowly, he started wandering, looking for people.

Shae

The westernmost suburbs of Betlan were always a private place, but not as of late. The streets of this quiet sleepy suburb are clogged with vans and passers-by, as a vast media circuit wakes up the young girl prophet of Shae as papparazi poke camera flashes into her curch's windows to get a glimpse of the 'Miracle Girl of Betlan'.

((You see how easy it is to start if you PM me?))

Wendrelial

The Creepy Bastard finds people, many people as the spectacle of him merely walking down the streets attracts a large amount of attention in the early morning denizens of the Red Light district of Betlan. Drunks staggering home after a night on the piss, strippers heading out after their shift is over. The streets at this time only have a few dozen people, but not one of them fails to turn and see this... freak walk by.

Undre Stops, and looks around, examining his onlookers. He knew what they were in short order. He recognized the miserable.

And He Spoke up, quite loudly addressing them all.

Wendrelial

Many of the men with brown paper bags move on as he speaks, afraid of getting caught by hanging around someone who attracts too much attention. A similar deal with those leaving from their places of work. He's a creepy bastard in the bad part of town. Why should they take him seriously?

The Demagogue pulled aside his face wrap momentarily to spit out a few grains of sand that worked their way into his mouth during the last sandstorm. He looked around him. He was in the small village of Aq Quibar, the base of operations for his mistress's revolutionary movement.

The squad of customized battle trucks were being repaired from their last encounter with the forces of the Tyrants. They were old pick up trucks and jeeps outfitted with 12.7mm machine guns. Two of these trucks were instead armed with 45mm recoilless rifles.

The Demagogue took a long draught from his waterskin. Ever since he had brought this village under the grace of The Revolutionary, the wells which were once dry now overflowed with water. The fields were now irrigated and crops of barley and exotic fruit grew all around the village. It was an oasis in the vast, unforgiving dunes sorrounding New Yethsar..

Into the city came the Teachers of Balance. they moved past the streets, a strange mix of opposites. An aged woman, blind from birth, and her young but crippled boy were partners in navigating across the byways. Thanatos directed Athanas's feet as she moved with complete trust in him. Stares and then the owners of them followed the pair out of the main streets and into the suburbs.

The numbers of people grew as any grouping of people tended to draw others. By the time the Twin's avatar's reached a clearing just outside the city, there were almost 100 of them. The pair stopped under a shade tree and Thanatos was let down to sit on the ground before the older woman did. After a few minutes, people who had followed began to question them. How did they do it. Where were they going. Where were they from. and so on.

He Just smiled as they Ignored him, he raised his arms, twisting, flexing them as the barbs dug into his Flesh. the blood trickled down his arms, his chest and back.

"You Will Turn To ME!"
And then he lifted his right leg, and brought it down with a terrible force. Sending a small shock wave through the ground, cracking the streets for many feet out.

"You Know what you Desire, You know All You have In currency to Buy it is Pain."

the blood was still on his arms, even though the wounds were already healed.

Elsa Cross woke up with a yawn as she got herself out of bed. Dragging her blanket along, she made her way to the big door of her church. Having grabbed a house coat that was too large for her, she slowly opened the doors to her church and stepped outside. "Good morning world, how are you today?" She said outloud too noone, and waited for the media to approach her.

The Demagogue turned to the assembled group. These twelve were his most trusted friends and followers. Each one of them with at least ten years of fighting experience under their belts. "You men are my greatest comrades. So, I have a special task for you. We must spread the word of our Goddess to the people of the land. But first.. all those who fight against the tyranny of the West must be united under our banner. Go and seek out the villages and hiding places of the other rebel groups. You know these lands well.. so I trust that you will not fail. Bring the word of our goddess to them."

The Listener awoke. He must've fallen asleep. He takes a moment to catch his breath and look around. Wait a minute, he didn't wear dark clothing when he fainted. Something must've happened to him.
When he rose up, he got the urge of meeting somebody. He didn't know who or why, he just had that urge.

When he got out of that alley, he found himself in Betlan. This city was enormous. Paparazzi was gathering across the street, by that church. He decided to take a look why they were gathering.

The Revolutionary

It would take several weeks for the villages around New Yethar to be properly contacted, but soon enough a trickling of new recruits to the revolutionary's cause would begin to find their way into the rocky mountains outside New Yethar.

Standing amazed at how desert landscape had become fertile land, many stayed. Sceptical, but well supplied, they were soldiers not balievers.

Revolutionary: +2 Presence in New Yethar. People want proof that this is the work of the gawds though.

The Twins

The Order of Balance (haha) has been established in the mountains. Not many are very interested as you haven't really done much just yet.

Wendrelial

The streets cleared, and over the ensuing silence a few words could be heard coming from the inside of a nearby titty bar.

'There's some guy out front scaring away customers...'

'Eh, we're closing up soon, he can scare these drunks away from here if he wants.'

Shae & Sithis

Presenting yourself to mass media attention wasn't really the best of ideas as they swarmed on the small girl. A storm of questions is fired, from criticisms to comments on her newfound fame, but the general consensus was 'what do you have to say about being the most famous girl in Betlan?'

Elsa yelped at the barrage of questions the mass of people yelled out. Covering her eyes from the numerous flashes, she replied quietly. "I-i-i never wanted to be famous, I just want to spread the teaching of my S-savior." She took a step back and pressed against the door. "Please... I just want to help the world become the paradise my Savior wishes it to be.."

The Demagogue gathered together his new followers "There are those who doubt the power of The Revolutionary. I am here to put those doubts to rest." As he said this, he raised up his arms. "I will beseech my mistress to call in a sandstorm to covered the tracks of those who travelled here. This is one of my mistress's powers. She can change the very landscape itself to hide us from the forces of the Tyrants.."

As he spoke, winds began to pick up.. and soon, a small sandstorm rolled in, obscuring all tracks in the sand. "Are there those who still doubt The Revolutionary's power?"

Along the streets heading towards the eastern part of the city a white commodore could be seen driving at the speed limit, the car however didnt travel along the main road but rather thorugh the network of side streets that connect any city up that always cause those unfamiliar to them get lost. However whoever drove this car knew them.

Inside the car, sitting behind the driver seat a man in a light black suit, white shirt and a black tie with a dark grey overcoat folded on the seat next to him drove the car quietly, not even the car radio or MP3 player had music going. Yet the expression on the drivers face was far from that of a bored or unoccupied man.

If one knew of the powers that could be they would know that the car, the clothes, the man, the FM Five-seveN and its extra clips in a torso holster and even his badge that rested in his suits inner jacket pocket didnt exsist in this world 30 min ago but were now as part of this world as if the man had lived in the city his whole life. The badge, whilst the name on it not his real one, was real and registered in the cities law enforcements records as did the records for the car, clothes and gun exsisting in the records of their suppliers as did the memory of those who sold the gear to him exsist in those who supplied them.

Now appart of this world the man drove the streets for the first 30 minutes of which he was in the world until stopping the car in a what seemed a quiet street lined with white picket fenced houses. Parking perfectly got out of the car and put on his overcoat and a pair of sunglasses and started walking down the street, continuing heading east, looking at the houses that lined the side of the street he walked on. After 10 minuites of walking he stopped infront of one house and stared at it for a minuite before starting to walk again, a little faster this time.

When he reached the end of the block he was walking on he turned left, then turned right as he stopped at the end of that block. There he walked straight up to two parked police officer cars who's occupants who sohuld be patrolling the streets were instead talking to each other. Stopping a meter from where the four officers were talking the man coughed to get the talking police officers attention. Almost imidiately the four looked at him, quickly forgetting what they were talking about before. A few seconds of staring took place before one of the officers summoned up the courage to ask "Can we help you?" in a non threatening manner.

Almost imidiately the man started to speak and move his hands, telling the officers as he removed a badge from his jacket, showing his gun to the officers who tensed for a second at the sight of it and almost reached for their own, and showing it to them "Inspector Matthew Parker of the BPD (Betlan Police Department). I require your help in a situation developing a block away from here."

A confused look fell on all the officers as they looked at one another before one asked Matthew "Er... we havent heard of any situation in this area over the radio. Are you sure something is happening only a block away?" at the same time the officer getting a feeling of drread that something might be happening only a block away as he happily talked to his friends.

To this Matthew remained passive and quickly responded to the officer by saying "There will be if we dont do something now. Best get your flack vests on as well, just in case." and going quiet, awaiting the officers to get into gear.

Not going to argue with an inspector and cause trouble the four officers quickly opened the boots of their patrol cars, Matthew taking the back seart in one of them, and quickly got on their vests before hopping in the cars themselves and driving around the corners back to the street Matthew told them about and stopping infront of the house Matthew had stopped infront of only minutes before. Quickly emptying the car after stopping them the officers looked at the pieceful looking house for a few seconds before all of them started doubting if this inspector was sane or not.

However Matthew didnt even look at them as he got out of the car and ran up to the front door of the house, pistol out of its holster and his feet whilst fast barely made a sound as they hit the flagstones that lined the path up to the house. Apon reaching the house he signalled two officers to go around the back whilst the other two followed him. The officers did as they were told, even an inspector that had a few lose screws was still an inspector.

Once all the officers were in position Matthew kicked the front door down with a solid boot. At the same time the officers around the back would of done the same, except the back door had already been broken into before they arrived. Knowing something wasnt right the officers now moved with purpose checking each room on the ground floor to see if they were empty before following Matthew up the stairs to the second door.

Finally up the stairs Matthew didnt even bother with checking the rooms, nor did the officers as they could all hear the women screaming from the bedroom...

10 minuites later two men, one with a gunshot wound to his shoulder from trying to pull a weapon, were shoved into the back of one of the police patrol units as inspector Matthew Parker calmed down a frantic middle aged woman who was lucky that the police arrived when they did. Once the two owuld be rapist were in the back of the car one of the officers radioed into HQ to giev a quick report with a quick report of what the two people arrested looked like. A minute later he was told that the two in the back of his car were a pair of serial rapists and murderers who police were trying to hunt down for over a year. The officer radioing in couldnt speak for thrity seconds as realisation dawned on him.

After another 15 minutes of talking to the woman and with HQ the two patrol vehicles and a white commodore with the woman in the passanger side seat headed back to the station. However in all the officers heads and the head of the woman who was being assaulted a few words that was said by Mr Matthew as they all asked hwo did he know stuck in their head.

"For the god of justice has come to clean up this world. The criminals of this world will get whats comming to them, its only a matter of time..."
