Sigh, The scouts will have to engage the armored warriors.

Bows are useless against the trained enemy. Makes sense. They could still waste the weaklings on the ground. Thing is, so could the swords they carry.

The entire first squad, and a scout. Our BEST squad. Damn those Svartelos. I say we never speak to them again after we earn our mine.

Should have sent 4th squad as well.

We're one squad down, and those two bastards are still standing. :E
Cut our losses now, we're in a right clusterf*** and I fear if we stay any longer we'll all end up dead.
I don't want to say this, but this doesn't seem like a fight we can win...

Before we all decide to retreat, I'd say wait and see what Madea has to say first. He is our Warmaster after all. *hmmm*

All men are created equal. Then some become Marines. Calm down FSE, try to think like a warrior. It isn't white flag time yet.

I'd rather we didn't retreat, but it's certainly not looking good. We did manage to recover the 1st squad at the very least.
Also I thought our scouts were supposed to flash them with flares? *upset*
Anyway, if we manage to cut through the peasents, we need to be able to take cover from that sniper. Could we use that overturned carriage as cover? Or would that take too much time?

On another note, should we leave the Rhin double to her fate? I don't see any point in rescuing her anymore, it'll cost us another bunch of warriors that's for sure.
All I want is the pair's head on a silver platter :E

It is pretty clear we could not do anything for the double at this point even if we wanted to.

I still stick by the option of having our armored scouts engage the first guy in melee. if he's distracted/occupied, the other is archer bait. We hesitated with our scouts, and hoped for a quick victory. Now we are paying the price for underestimation.

Attack the guys up top with scouts.

Nothing ventured, nothing gained.

No Maiq.. the scouts needed to stay back. Infantry command 101: two up, one back. They were our reserve. Now that first squad is down, we know where we need them. The best option for beating the armored pair now is Shiir imho.

We should get 3rd squad to shoot the mob on the the left flank, now that we know we can't hit the two sods.
It's also apparent that the two sods are on the high ground on the left side.
It's a shooting range for that c*** and the best we can do is get this over with quickly.
Or we can try again at shooting the two sods, if we try and flare them this time *hmmm*
Again would that overturned caravan be good for cover?

*Clearly annoyed at the current situation*

I think the best option now would be to have everyone (including scouts and archers) pile in on the ground and take out the rabble as quick as possible, then get under cover (you can see plenty of alcoves and the like) and start slowly moving up to where the crossbowman is. Hopefully they'll just run away when faced with fighting multiple enemies on their own level. A few more people will probably go down, but I don't think running is really an option. If you run the crossbowman will not feel threatened and will be free to pick off people as you drag the wounded, or the mob might just kill Rhinn-double and move to finish you off.

Finish the ground melee, move into cover of the building and start moving up through them to where those two are. The two scouts on the top should wait, I think they would get gutted if they tried anything and would probably only be a distraction for the time it takes to take one shot. Lose two to save one, not worthwhile as those scouts are armored and not injured yet and close to the targets, they are worth more just waiting.
