A question: Is it actually a good idea to have shiny bits on scout armor? I mean, seeing as the entire point of the scouts is to remain hidden, and shiny things tend to attract attention . . .

Although it is fine for the archer armor, if we are planning to also make the archer armor from kir'isu chitin. It's a lot of chitin, though, 150 plates to equip all the archers and five scouts. Ah well. We will get there eventually. But I hope we can manage some in time for the battle.

On the subject of ranked members multi-tasking, remember this post.
This is what Kern told me when I asked him why the scout action went haywire, and was just before Kern's announcement in the comic that we could not split our assistants into two active groups, and that the ranked member must lead the active group.

Also note that in this latest EA, Kern said that Mari got stressed by running back and forth between the forging and smelting groups, even though they are located close to each other. :A I think Mari was able to do it because the locations were close together, but I would still consider that a small warning. :S

A main task and a secondary, more passive task should be okay, but two or more main tasks are probably not. :0

/edit
Good point on the armor decorations. We will remove those.
Also, given that the chitin armor also appears to need clothes (did the warrior armor also need clothes? :S ), we may not have any for the upcoming battle because it is too soon.

I almost don't see it... Then again I'm not a Ranked.
I also don't see how that smelting is considered a primary task and not a secondary one.

Maybe if Maiq takes over the smelting, as he has suggested, maybe it would be considered a secondary action for him.

Anyhow... The warrior armor is largely metal only. I believe the part that is not plate is supposed to be chain mail.

Smelting itself is going to end up as a secondary task. But establishing the smelter will probably be primary.

HAHAHAHA!!!

Aw man, poor An'jhali.
And incredibly her tiara transformed along with her clothes.
I guess she totally went "Henshin a Go Go Baby".
Sadly there was no transformation-animation to be seen, but it works for the comical effeckt. ^^

That tiara is actually part of that set of armor and not the one she normally wears.

Hahaha good strip. And people frown at me for inviting her to archery, when others are far more blunt. XD

wow An'jhali got good distance spitting out her drink. Though she's apparently a magical girl with her sudden ability to change into her armor.

This update was great. Well, chasing you looked like it was making very good morale for the clan, Siv. I'd say your suggestion was a success. :)

At least we know that An'jhali has a preferred means by which to relieve the stress of her duties and that she entrusts the ranked folksies with the clan. It makes me wonder. How would you all go about it? Would you form a sort of council, or would it be similar to the way you run your professions?

Well, she says 'any of them could replace... temporarily...' as if one would step up alone. I just wish she'd have picked ONE instead of FOUR.. after all that was my intent! Not the idiotic heir shit.. damn those faceless for derailing my efforts. I didn't mean a blood heir. *doh*

Well, I imagine that if it were one person, that ranked person would be some person who spent most of his or her time at the ruins rather than one who would join a campaign some distance away. Or wouldn't it?
