We already have our own version of fish and chips: seafood and algae chips *wee*

And I really hope that no one is voting for the destroy the caravan for luxury items option.

Not to mention that murdering people who just want to peacefully pass through is quite evil (especially since we have already peacefully talked to them). Besides the great clans each control a path to the surface, if all the caravans and travelers on their path keep dying they will come and wipe us out.

well, technically, we're amoral, so evil or not... But it would so hurt us in the long run.

No, I believe Anji would NEVER do that without provocation. Kill a prospective benefit and Ally. Slavers, that aren't our own, they are suspect and I would not have too much problems with them if it became apparent they would be a real problem like the last one were.

TRADERS? Seriously... MERCHANTS??? Obviously you hate commerce and the ability to get goods from elsewhere that we cannot make. WEll, maybe not obviously but it seems so harsh to just kill em and take their stuff.

Not that these guys need to get a parade and dancers, but peaceful trade is up my alley.

Now it's true, that if we were not as well situated as we are now, the temptation of stealing goods would be more alluring. But it would not fit with who we, as a people, are. We attempted peace with the run away Slaves. We attempted peace with the Slavers. WE are attempting peace now. I believe this is a trait the Clan has.

Besides, I don't really want to become bandits right now. While it might seem fun on TV and in novels, it BLOWS in reality. I would prefer to not have to constantly watch over our shoulders MORE then we already do. Also, I think it would change our Clan and make us darker, more brutal, then we need to be.

If they try to harm us, then all bars are off and we take them for everything they have, but if they treat us with the respect we are offering them, leave them better then they met us and hope they will aid us in the future.

Well it would seem that the ruins were built or at least appropriated by the drow a very long time ago. With the images showing a building under a night sky with a moon and stars over it. So the skeleton could be a dark elf from around the time of first war.

It may be time to try for a scholar/mana specialist rank to examine the books and scroll. Paper that old tends to be fragile so care needs to be taken when examining them. They also probably read like old english. Hmm... maybe there is a book on archaic golem design, that could be useful given how old our current golems seem to be.

Probably some of the first Dark Elves to travel to the Underworld?

Anyone notice how all miners are male?(at least the workers...) And there's only 4 of us which means we were all on the picture.(who was who in that anyway?)

Back to the tomb...Pillage=win. ;)

Still doesn't explain the ruination of the fort...unless it was Dark Elven...then the resulting war might have been why...

Re: EA, Day 22 Late: the big metal door, is opened!

Postby Merlune on Fri Aug 22, 2008 11:33 pm

Remember; at most there are 3 of the major clans that were apart of the original nine. So that means that 6 clans have died before now and also some clan seats may have change though may hands before the current owners got them.

But we do know what one clan's forerunner was, so that brings the list down to 5.

The time has come to check for any long lasting enchantments or traps. Dude. Pillaging a tomb is dangerous unless you're the architect who built it. ;p Of course, after all this time the Mana has probably drained out of any spells... but be careful to get out of the way before you charge up any of those stones.

:) Wheee! Jackpot! I wanna' see the armor!

Don't count on it... if the crystal was pure enough it might still be active... But I'd check out that ancient armor, >.> if we can modify that sucker, our Il'haress just found something that is more powerful and protective than anything that we could make right now (I'm betting money it's made of adamantium, or at the VERY least steel if it's a noble's armor), she needs to begin learning to fight, some time with the warmaster might help if she could learn strategy, tactics, and more leadership skills from Shiir.

I expect that armor will need MAJOR modifications before it's ready for the Ill'haress, enough that changing the design completely wouldn't add to the time in any significant way.
