Anyone else stuck in a rut, trying to figure out what the best option is for the next LA update should be? *eek*

Well, it looks like for the time being An'jhali is still acting on all the votes and shout box suggestions regarding the ruins. I'd hate to distract her with other issues when she's so busy. ^^;

Hmm... how do you think about a sexual distraction for Q and his scouts (just like in Space Age)? I'm sure that would distract the slaves that much, that they we could attack them by surprise. :D

If it distracted her it would be an interesting outcome on who her preference of companion would be later. :p

Ooo, new page in the LA! Things are getting interesting indeed, no?

Anyway, my thought on the situation is this: Possibly have the Ill'haress say that slavers are on the way (even though we do not know what those lights are yet ourselves - but they don't know that) since we weren't the only ones attracted by the lights the runaway slaves gave off, so we thought we'd speak with them first and offer to join forces to fend them off together. In exchange we'd be willing to give them a home with us, or even offer to help them build homes hear the river, which would give them access to get their own food and start the fishing village that some of us wanted?

Just some thoughts on my end, granted it could bite us in the posterior, but nothing lost is nothing gained. *smallsmile*

A bluff might work, but if the bluff fails, that pretty much leads violence to our only option, and I'd rather not have that happen unless absolutely necessary.

Or instead of a bluff, maybe point out that there are indeed lights coming this way, we don't know who they are, but why take the chance and stick with the offer I outlined earlier. Either way...

Their not going to join us unless they think they are going to get something out of it,
so although risky bluffing might work, but I personally do not think they will respond well if they realize we are trying to pressure them (the red headed spartacus especially)
it might be better if we can simply offer them a life better than merely hiding and scrounging in some ruins,
such as being part of the growing clan or as Jaiybrd mentioned a fishing village by the river
we could even offer to hide or protect them if the slavers come, although i would much prefer if we avoid mentioning any actual conflict with slavers or such in regards to them joining us, they might just see themselves better off hiding than under our protection
lastly, although this may be trivial, we could offer to remove their shackles(might be even able to use them as metal scraps)

-phew that was alot more than i planned on wrighting, so thanks for listning to me ramble
