Chel'el'sussoloth- Vel'sharen fortress

Postby Kydra » Fri Nov 17, 2006 1:54 am

Kydra found himself blinking-- confused once more-- as Meska re-appeared with a rather large spider clinging to her shoulders. He had developed a bit of a soft spot for spiders, in his time working with the Beldrobbain, bust still found the spider-tounge to chittery and confuseing to actualy understnad. He captured a word here and there, but not nearly enough to actualy get teh gist of what they were talking about.

His hostess further threw him off by claimbing the little (he had to admit it did look rather cute hugging her back that way) spider was her child of eight legs. He had heard that it was theororeticaly possible for Drow to mate with the large sentient spiders of the underworld, but had the impression that such unions commonly produced Drider... He could quite figure if she was being figurative or not.

The doctor managed to scrape together enough information about her friends condition to feel concerned... as well as eager at the prospect of a degree of usefulness. Oh, and money. Must never forget about money...

They stoped by L'Tain'T's room and the healer collected his things ((I hope I can assume this))

Meska's tiger was droped before them, and the healer finaly spoke up.

"Alrighty then..." He clasped his hands together. "Where are we headed?"

He smiled at this, quite politely as they came into the corridor, his eyes flashing at the healer being out and about, how ever he decided to ignore that, for now, and address it later. his polite amused smile turned up into one more of playful nature

She noticed the healer, but decided to say nothing of it. Instead, L'Tain'T' had surprised a laugh out of her, a rich, warm sound. She hadn't laughed in years quite like this, because frankly, few things amused her anymore.

"I wouldn't be surprised if you refused each one, and they, for some reason, thanked you for it."

At that, he gave a chuckle himself, shaking his head. Ohh no dear, the magic is good.. but not that good. Usually I'm pleased to see them leave without trying something Violent. but of all the fun, We are here.. and I am wondering why one of my guests is leaving...

Guard, if you may enlighten me of the situation?

He did not address the guard with a rudeness that might be expected, even for him. commoner or no he was still a Diplomat and this particular guard hadn't done anything to displease him, yet.

This guard, another of the nameless faceless grunts of the Sharen didn't even appear to move, he was still standing at attention in the hallways of the fortress, being unable to see past his visor, the situation was akin to seeing someone talk to a statue.

"Errith escorted the female to the courtyard, one of her friends is in trouble and they need the doctor to help heal them." He said with the metallic echoing tones of most Sharen guards. "If you hurry you can likely still catch them at the gate."

Innelda's eyes slid towards the guard as he spoke.Guests he said? How very curious...few males had the nerve or the emotion on hand to bring more then one person at a time into the fortress.

"It sounds as if your guests don't know the honor of being invited inside. Shall you ask for them to stay?"

As they HAD stopped long enough for Nekita and Kydra to grab the things they had brought, it was easy to follow the Sullissin'Rune noble out to the courtyard. Once there, Meska turned to Kydra and began to explain exactly what has been going on as well as what she was about to do.

"Healer Kydra, I know you must feel like we nobles have dragged you all over the hinterlands of this great city... and you are quite correct in that. I was going to wait till you and Lord L'Tuian'T had finished your business concerning the two of you and his own with me. I don't like to rush about for it brings unwanted eyes to me and my business. I apologize on my and His behalf for the confusion for the last hours. I ask that you decide to keep company with me until we can deliver my friend and now family back to my home. Afterwards, I can escort you back to this fortress so that you and the Lord can speak about the business he wanted with you.

As for what I am going to do now, let me explain and you can decide is you wish to accompany Nekita and myself in our mission.
"

Although she had regained a bit of her previous tension in her movements, she waited for their transportation with a calm demeanor. Pay'lor talked now and then, keeping the Half-breed informed of any important movements of the surrounding Guards and others made. Meska's sensitive ears, while not supernatural, did pick up subtle sounds that came from all sides. It was the ones in front and to the sides of her head that were the strongest.

"Lady E'apoe, a great friend of mine for a number of years, who has saved my life more times then I have returned to her, is currently injured severely. In the time we had earlier, I got the market magic healers to bind the cracks in her exo-skeleton, stop the internal injuries from getting any worse as well as administer a pain potion that would work with her Drider physiology. She then accompanied a new friend of hers to the Beldrobaen Fortress, I THOUGHT, to wait for me to collect her. Pay'Lor tells me that she was unable to stay for some reason.

Stubborn as she is, E'apoe left the hiding place Pay'Lor had her in and returned into an area of the City that she favored at times when she was younger and wanted to disappear. Pay'lor followed her and has marked her ground nest with one of her own before coming to get me.

I do not trust anyone to treat her with anything but malice and that area is well known for it's opportunistic inhabitance that might use her injuries to overpower her and sell her into slavery or worse. Poe is exceptionally strong and very capable in a fight... still her condition has her in a bind if she were to be attacked. I am EXCEEDINGLY agitated for her sake and wish to get to her as soon as I am able. If you wish to help, I for one, would be indebted to you for helping me get her to my home.

I think you and your skills as a healer might make the journey not only tolerable for her, but may even be NEEDED to keep her from going down hill farther. I will pay you whatever price you need. Money is nothing to me. She is worth whatever I own and you are needed. I am about to move out when Vic'Tor is brought to me. We shall venture forth to Poe and make certain she and her nest are secured before you arrive. I will not make you and hope you come with, but the decision is yours to make.
"

The carriages wheels were heard before it came into view as the large lizard pulled it easily to the small party.

"ah, here comes our cart... (sigh) Were is Vic'Tor?"

Nekita nodded to the Driver and hopped up into the driver's seat after she had placed her mistress's kit into the back of the covered cart. Meska's part-time servant moved the cart into a better position for when they leave. She gave the man a wave and reached down to bring Kydra up and into the seat next to her if he wished.

Right afterwards, Vic'Tor, came forth with several handlers "leading" the relaxed feline to his "owner". Meska snickered at the reason for the need for "extra" precautions. She smiled at the proof of Sharen ineptitude. No one of her clan needed precautions. If they died from mishandling a animal, no one would cry for them. The scene was ridiculous in the exstream but she let it pass away silently as He was let go.

Freed from the mania color, the big Cat bounded over to Meska with a greeting rumble and rubbed up against her like any feline there was did with those they "owned" or loved. Several passes later, and a big hug from him with his large right forearm and paw, did she pat his head while commanding him down. He complied and soon she had stripped him of all but the necessary tack needed to ride and fight on a beast such as him. With the "extra" placed dutifully into the back of the cart by Nekita, he looked to be much happier a feline then before.

While he was being dressed down, he gruffled and made the tale-tell movements of body language. He didn't like the place. The handlers were threats who were kept in his sight at all times. He wanted to leave immediately and be gone from this disgusting area. Tail swishing back and forth along with his attempts at cleaning his smelly fur confirmed what Pay'Lor had told her before. The Sharen handlers had not respected her boy nor her Noble status, no matter how low or high it was. Fine. Nothing to do about it now.

She jumped up and mounted her tiger before ordering him to rise. It was time to start her journey. She had not seen L'Tuain'T or Innelda as they had appeared behind her.

(she has NOT left yet. Please feel free to interact with me. I'm hopping that nothing i posted here would preclude any posting of any kind. I can always go back if we need me to change stuff.)

those eyes narrowed, the Noblewoman wouldn't be able to miss it, they were as good as cross hairs tracking a target. still once they had steadied on the Sullis'rune for a few moments they eased up, the noble turning to Innelda with an expression similiar to one who just lost a freshly bought gladiator in battle. what a waste. No, I have No Business with either of them any more. I can't do business with some one who can't be dependable.

But enough of this, you needed parchment yes? For personal or official use, I have some for each. that last bit he said turning to the room, reaching into the folds of his vest he pulled out a few ada for the guard and mentioned something about buying himself a beer. with that he waved his hand unlocking the door as it responded to his aura, and pushed it open, waiting outside for innelda to enter.

Innelda didn't comment on the slight eye narrowing, nor the comment about undependable employees. It happened from time to time when the first impression was better then intended.

She entered the room slowly, and glanced around. Hmm...not bad in furshings...not bad at all.

"Just the stationaries will be fine." She folded her arms, and stood in the middle of the room. She thought as she wouldn't be there long, there was no reason to sit down.

Her manner was closed, as well as her expression. Why that was, none could say.

"Ink and quills. I've been gone from here too long, so they swept away my supplies."

he got the ink and quill aswell, one of his travelling sets that wouldn't spill inside of pockets or the likes so she could carry them with ease. Now, May I Persuade you to let me join you as you carry on with your business? Your company has been far more pleasant then i've had the pleasure to experience as of late, and your visage is hardly unwelcome either.

The man said with a curt nod and a soft, lustful smile. not the kind that made a girl feel dirty or worth little more then a peice of meat, but sincerely appreciated.

She eyed him wearily. This happened from time to time...not often, but enough to make her feel a little sick in her stomach when she heard the words 'join'. She had to shake her head curtly.

"While I thank you for the supplies, I have to inform you I don't like the company of males. I admit, you haven't made me gag just yet...but I prefer minizuming contact much as possible."

He perked a single eyebrow, and then gave a short apologetic bow. Ahh Ofcourse, Forgive me. How ever, Could I interest you in joining me for a short venture to Fort Beldrobbaen? I will be accompanied by a Lot of soldiers, good women I'm sure so I will be the only one, but i'd rather have some conversation on the trip and.. well theres not much of that to be had between soldiers and diplomats, now is there?

"There are things that one can speak of to soilders, but I suppose you don't wish to distract them." She quirked an eyebrow. He was a bit more persistant then she thought.

"And why would I want to come with you to the Beldrobbean's housing? Frogive me, but as you may remeber I do not have good ties withthat clan."
