The girl sitting next to Saithe glares at her and reties her bandage. "Will a seperate thread for Orthorbbae be created or will students and Faern have to use the Chel'el'sussoloth board to RP?" The girls ingage in a staring match that quickly subsides to a fit of giggles.

Gelorn blinks twice before saying "What are you asking? Are you asking that a particular class of people should have a thread created where they can start off or what?"

I believe that is what she asked Gel. It seems she was asking if there was going to be school thread for the Faern. Yes i know the name of the school, but I am too lazy to type it out.

Possibly. Ill discuss it with kite as soon as possibel to find out if one is needed and desired or if we think it will be a waist of space.

Edit: We have agreed to add it. Teacher NPC's will be controled by GM's if need be, students also if need be. Just hang tight and we will create the thread.

Double edit: Major buildings like the school and the tavern will all be added in time. If you need a place desperately notify either Kite or I and we will make it for you. Otherwsie we will make in due time. We also have lives outside this thread.

((Eh, this is for asking questions right?))

Another girl in the classroom raises her hand rather nonchalantly, and immediately begins to speak. "I'm wanting to learn more about the Xuile’Solen race. So hear are my questions...
1: Do they all have sharp teeth and long tongues?
2: Do they all have absolutely no eyes?
3: ...do they have eyebrows?
4: There are FEMALE Xuile’Solen right?"
The girl slowly leans back in her chair. "Hm, I think that's all I got for now."

The old man waits patiently for each question, then nods his head and begins. "Well, I suppose those are all fair questions to ask, since the Xuile'Solen are pretty rare. Let's start with the first. Xuile'Solen could have sharp teeth, sure; just like drow can have sharp teeth. It's not that they're renowned for it or anything. I'm not really sure what was with that one from the comic that Ariel fought; I'm sure that's where you're getting these ideas from."

"Same goes for the long tongue. I'm not really too sure on why that one had a long tongue, but the Xuile'Solen are known to look pretty normal, save for the lack of eyes and all."

"Now, I suppose that answers your other question, too," the old man says and sits on the edge of his desk. His back cracks and he winces, then mutters something. "Xuile'Solen evolved in an environment where their eyes really didn't provide them any sort of advantage. In fact, since the eyes are such a sensitive part of the body, and it wasn't helping the Xuile'Solen any, it became more advantageous not to have 'em. Natural selection gave the royal boot to eyes, and tuned up their other senses in accordance. And yeah, they've got eyebrows too."

"And of course they've got females! Drow live for a long time, but how the heck do you think they make more Xuile'Solen? Their females might not look particularly pretty, since looks really don't mean much to the Xuile'Solen, but they're rumoured to have stunningly beautiful voices. Illhar'dro material. A good voice is selected for in Xuile'Solen society. It's the equivalent of good looks in drow or human society."

"So, there you have it," he says with a satisfied look. "Hope that answers all your questions."

The girl smiles, satisified. "Yes, thank you very much!" She then slouches forward and goes back to her rather bored expression.

A young man, dressed in a smiple black tunic tentatively raises his hand. "What about multiple characters?" He asks softly. "Are they allowed? And if so, do you have to put all the character profiles in one post?"
"You're grinning, Sarge."
"Well?"
"You're just grinning and standing there, Sarge," said Sam. "I know I'm going to get a hiding, 'cos you haven't got a sword and you're grinning." -Terry Pratchett's Night Watch

"Multiple characters, eh?" the old man says while thoughtfully stroking his beard. "Multiple characters are allowed... but there are... conditions." His voice rather abruptly becomes sinister with the last word, and he squints menacingly at the class for a few moments before returning to his usual, affable self.

"The deal is this: You can have more than one character, but you've gotta start 'em and keep 'em in separate cities. So that means if your character from Chel'el'sussoloth wants to head over to Val'Raveran, but you already have a character there, then your Val'Raveran character will have to take a hike. Maybe head over to the Drider city or something. As long as your characters are never in the same city, then you're playing by the rules. Mind you, this also means that they can't meet out in the wilds or anything. Ideally, they should never come even close to one another." The old man gives a curt nod and peers around the classroom for other raised hands.

"Oh!" He blinks once. "I almost forgot about the other part of the question. You can submit the characters separately, that's also fine. In fact, I think that Xian fellow that barged in here a minute ago would probably prefer it that way."

Greetings and good day.
I have not been told to come here, but what better place to learn?
With the new rules I am curious. I previously, a long time ago played a character who specialised in creating Golems, but he did possess some ability in using 'earth' based elemental magic.

I wish to return him to playing: Would it still be allowed for him to possess both Golem magic *he is actually a trainee, but has a natural knack for it* and earth magic (which he primarily uses to make basic defensive means such as spikes on the ground to stop running opponents) or does he have to sacrifice one in the new playing style?

"Earth magic and golem magic, huh?" The old man shrugs. "That's probably something you'd have to run by Xian; he usually evaluates these things on a case-by-case basis. There are no hard-and-fast rules in this FFRPG; it's not like you have to be this, that or the other and nothing in between. I mean hey, what good is a golem master if someone slips by the golem and he can't defend himself? Specialization is a good way to die in a world as dangerous as this one."

The old man offers a solitary nod. "I'd say as long as you don't overdo it, you'll be fine."

"Hey, woah!" the old man exclaims, shaking his hands in a defensive gesture. "I can't just summarize the entire world, that'd take ages. You should go look at the worldsetting pages. Me, I'm just here to answer specific questions about facets of the worldsetting!"

The old man looks a bit disappointed at the question and shakes his head. "I'm telling you, you should read the worldsetting pages before coming here. It will answer the vast majority of your questions so that I don't have to, but yes. The underworld, which is where all the player-available cities are located, isn't a very friendly place. It's barren, hostile, and all you'll really find in the way of flora is some mushrooms." The old man proceeds to shake his fist menacingly. "Now go study! If you haven't done the assigned readings, you'll never get approved!"
