"I must say I face an aging limit as well for my capacity in conjuring up a character bio of sufficient length/proper reference/quality to the workings of this realm is limited."

"So I will not kill myself trying to write a 400 year tale. Besides, the aging would be in my character's demeanor - even I at the age of 21 feel as though I were older than the warmasters and mistresses in another world - they are at least 10 years my senior there."

"I would say that I am well familiar with the ways of drow authority, from experience in that other realm, but my knowledge and imagination of underworld politics is pathetic."

"It is as though my subordinates do all the dirty work for me and I sit on my throne giving orders and chastising anyone who even shows a bit of incompetence..."

"I have resigned from that sadistic existence now and have paid for the pleasures of authority by losing my youth altogether. But I thought a character with similar background would be interesting."

"I shall attempt to write Ms. Divanya's background as soon as I could attend to her. Should be done by the end of the week."

"Vajra, out" (hiss of static? Oops, wrong timeline XD)

"Look at this please"

*Starts to write on the blackboard*

Name: Drocarn’ Vloz’ress

Race: Ver’Drowendar

Age: 42 years old.

Class: Warrior

Equipment:

Weapons: 2-handed sword. The sword is old and a little rusty, but still very sharp; the blade is 140cm long and the sword weights about 25pounds.

Armour: Black Spidersilk hooded cloak, Dark steel breastplate, Black Metal Greaves around his shins and wrists, common shoulder plates, and dark steel gauntlets.

In his Belt pouch he has about 50ada.

Misc.:

Magic: High arts

Beginning city: Chel’El’Sussoloth

Clan: Vel’Vloz’Ress

Background: He was born in one of the lower houses of the Val’Ilhar’dro. The birth had been hard for the mother and she didn’t survive the night. His aunt know had the responsibility for him, and she didn’t like the thought of using the next many years to take care of the child, who had caused her the life of her dear sister, but the Ill’Haress insisted.

The 10 first years of his life his aunt taught him to read, and forced him to learn the history of the clan, but Drocarn hated all the stupid books. Only the fear of being punished made him keep reading. Most of the time his aunt just gave him a book, some time to read it, and then asked a lot of question about the text, and every time he couldn’t answer he yelled at him for long time, but she never touched him. In all the years the aunt took care of Drocarn she never touched him, never hurt him, and suddenly never hugged him. Slowly Drocarn become empty when it came to emotions. He never tried to speak with other Drows on his age, and preferred to be alone, but his aunt didn’t seem to care that Drocarn had become very unsocial

When he was about 11 years old the clan members started to talk about what they could use him for. The aunt, who had taken care of him all this years, told them that they shouldn’t send him to Othorbbae. She knew that he never would fit in because he really had a problem with books, and couldn’t pay attention when she tried to learn him anything. It would probably only hurt the reputation of the clan. Finally Drocarns older brother said that they could give him a trainer here on the fortress, who could teach Drocarn to become a Battle mage; a warrior who a trained in both magic and melee combat. And he also said that he wouldn’t mind to train Drocarn. The others agreed that this would be the best future for Drocarn.
The next day the older brother, Firath, went to meet with his new student for the first time. He entered Drocarns room and found the boy sitting on the cold floor in a completely darkness. Drocarn liked the darkness, and had for long time ago destroyed all sources of light in his room No one had told him what the high members of the clan had decided to do with him yet, and he looked on Firath with cold eyes, while the older brother told what they had decided. The older brother could easily feel that something was wrong with this boy.

Drocarn didn’t mind to become a warrior. In the books his aunt had forced him to read had there been a lot of great tales about strong and highly respected warriors, and Drocarn wouldn’t mind to become one of them.

Few days after, had Firath already started Drocarns physical training. Firath knew that the boy still was very young, but he wanted to start this training early to see if Drocarns had some special talents. But since the boy almost had used the 10 years of his life reading, he was in bad shape, but Firath was glad to see that the boy was extremely stubborn, and didn’t stop his training before he was told to, or he simple collapsed from exhaustion. When Firath had seen how Drocarn could handle physical training, he started to teach the young boy what his duty as a warrior would be. Drocarn was told stuff like “Protect the clan with your lifeâ€

"First off, you really don't need the class field. I have this suspicion that it makes Xian twitch a little if he sees it. Most of the drow can't be easily identified as warrior, thief, etc anyway. They like to have broad areas of expertise and a few tricks from other areas up their sleeves."

"Secondly, high arts is a tad vague. A little elaboration here may be in order as to what elements he is best in. Or if he is just a generalist in all of them. The high arts are fairly complicated, so not sure how reasonable it is that he only got six years of training, even for just a back-up to his more physical fighting skills. If you really want magic I would suggest a sorcery. Much more instinct-based and probably easier to learn."

"What about this?"

At age 24 they started to teach the young warriors in magic. Firath decided to train Drocarn in the High arts, but this time Firath also had to train a second student. The young Shima was born in the same year as Drocarn, and Firath had agreed to teach Shima in the High arts too. The young Shima had often seen Drocarn train, and was actually jealous because Drocarn was more powerful then him. Off course Drocarn didn’t seemed to care about to train with another student, and just concentrated on his own magic training.

Firath knew that the students wouldn’t have a lot of years to train in, and choose to specialise Shima and Drocarn to manipulate earth and stone. Both students seemed to master the basic mana energies equally good, but when they started too train high arts, Drocarn could manipulate earth and stone before Shima, and he slowly improved his magic skills. But none of them never become very good at it. Firath told them that that they could improve there magic over the next years. Every time Shima had the chance he taunted Drocarn, who still didn’t seem to care, and simple ignored the other student’s presence, which only made Shima more irritated.

A drow male comes into the classroom. He scans the room for an empty chair and finds one near the back of the room. He takes a seat, pulls out an huge tome, and begins reading.

The drow looks up from the tome.

"I'm reading through the worldsetting pages as well as the school thread. I'm sure I'll have a couple of questions before I'm done."

The drow then returns to his reading.

The elderly matron snorts, appearing bemused.

"Charming one, isn't he?" she says to the rest of the people around.

Turning back to the new student, she observes his reactions before continuing, "Aw! Not like that. I'm willing of course to help - if you dare to ask me."

She turns, tossing her lush mane over her shoulder and starts to walk away.

"I once spent three days and nights on that thing you are reading."

Okay I really didn't know where I should ask this, but...Does anyone else here feel a sort of, I don't know, impending doom now that Xian has Mod privileges?

I think he's a logical choice for moderator since Kite, sadly, is too busy for the boards now a days, so we needed a moderater.

Oh of course it's logical. Xian totally deserves the spot. He's put more work into this FFRPG than anyone. However, that still doesn't change the fact that we're all doomed.

So enjoy your time here. While you still can!

If I were a male in drow society then that would be a rather critical survival skill!

The red haired student gets up and rolls his eyes, taking out a staple gun and a book of detention slips.

"Now I know that this is simple fun, but still I'd like to point out just how far off topic certain threads may get, and people here actually ask questions that I would prefer to answer rather than lose in all the spam, so please take this to private messages, or take it to the chat forum."

And with that he staples detention slips to all present who are going off topic.

(Kembaru for moderator! :P)

The old matron scoffs at the slip of paper that had appeared before her. Who in hell do you think you are!?

"Show some respect, fool - do you think I'm actually here to learn?" She glares at the little boy, then looks away blankly and sighs inwardly, before dismissing her thoughts with an irritated shake of her head.

"Don't mind me, I hate everything that is me."

---------------

"What? Stop looking at me like that! Begone already!"

(Have not played this kind of char in a very long while, so consider that personality testing. Oh of course I would enjoy the occasional bout of in-character hostility - just keep it IC of course :) )

The jester walks in again, looking around.

"Well... it's been a bit. What can I say? I hate being sick. So yeah, I'm still taking a stab in the dark as to just what I want to do. I'm guessing that I'm going to end up as a Templar anyway, but I honestly want to try something else. No offense to the Templars out there, but.. well, to be honest I just suck at making a character I like. I'd rather make something focused on kepping my deeds less known over something in which I slay the enemies of my society screaming "Kill the tainted!" so loud that everyone two blocks over can hear me eviscerating the entrails of a foe.

Soo... can anyone help me figure this out? I honestly suck at writing this stuff, let alone deciding about it. "
