Val'Raveran | Inlulk'lar

Kyori lied down on her bed, hugging her enormous tiktikki plushie, which rivalled her rather big pillow in size. She always loved snuggling it and enjoying it, and she had a few other ones as well, such as a large aware spider and an (untainted) Sharen dragon-rider, though the last was back in Chel'el'sussoloth, from the days far before the Nidraa'chal coup and the subsequent developments.

She had almost fallen asleep, succumbing to the tiredness from earlier and the past few days, when the knock on the door caught her attention. She put her plush away and sat properly on the side of the bed, acknowledging that her worn clothes were not the less skimpy possible, and replied to the call. "One moment" she said in a casual voice as she stood up and proceeded to put on a nearly transparent spidersilk kimono-style robe.

The off-duty warden then put her hair out of the robe as she approached the door, eventually opening it. She recalled the brief, embarrassing moment from not an hour or two ago, and looked at the newcomer with a cautious stare. "Come in" she commanded, yet she did not sound annoyed; she made space for him to enter the room, and shut the door behind him.

Her room was big but rather simply decorated. A sizeable bed, enough for three persons to sleep on, dominated it, with a small but decent fully-equipped shrine to Sharess at the corner opposite and to the left of whoever lied on it. Nearby, a door to the roomy closet and some other furniture lied, with Kyori's sheathed yatagan and dagger neatly laced between these and the bed. And finally, to the wall opposite to the bed was the bathroom door.

"To what do I owe the visit?" Kyori asked with distrust.

He was a bit surprised to be let into her room without being yelled at or slapped silly. He already had an odd feeling she would hit him at the drop of a dime for absolutely nothing. He cleared his throat and gave a quick bow, "I was wondering what today's duties would be later on today or if we would have any," he asked looking Kyori in the eye.

The earlier momments of embarasment came back with a vengance thus the reason he kept his gaze on her face to show he wasn't going to be perverted about all of this. "I wanted to know in order to get a better feel for the schedule for today,"

"There is no need of formalities between us within the boundaries of this apartment" Kyori spoke, responding to her templar's gesture. "That being said, it does not imply that we do not have everlasting duties like we actually do, keep in mind" she added, almost venomously, in an indirect reference to the earlier events in her bathroom. It was so deeply embarrassing she could not even say it directly.

"Have a seat if you wish" Kyori offered as she sat on her bed, remaining rather formal in her stance and all. "Since you have just arrived, I decided we will take the day off to focus on forging the beginning of a stable warden-templar relationship" she explained, "without any bad singing or sad events. Therefore, today's schedule is yours to decide from this point on."

She looked at him formally, trying to guess what would he be up to. For all she knew, he could start hitting on her after what happened earlier, something she would not exactly enjoy even though she was quite fond of dynamic males who stood up for themselves every now and then. Chances were, however, he'd ask to continue the Inlulk'lar tour, or whatever. She didn't know, but she would filter anything through her beliefs before doing it.

Seruxis cuagh the reference to the events that had taken place earlier in the bathroom but he shared Kyori's general embarassed feeelings about it. It was something they both needed to forget. "Alright. I'll keep that in mind," he said in responce to the fomalities. It would take some time to get use to though.

"thank you, " he said taking a seat as indicated and listening intently to what Kyori was saying, nodding ocassionally to show he got what she was saying. "If we do not have any patrol I would like to train. It is not wise to let ones skills get a bit rusty from disuse. I haven't brushed up since I left Chel'El'Susoloth to come here," he said with a slight smile, "and it could help in buiding a trust factor between us"

He got to his feet ,"Is there somewhere nearby as to train in? I'll collect my things and could meet you there," He said.

The warden nodded to her templar's words. "It will be a good opportunity to test each other's level" she said, and stood up, going to her closet, and taking off her robes. She was now let just with her short, plain white spidersilk dress, and made her way to her bedroom's entrance. "The entertainment hall is spacy enough to allow for training without having to leave" she indicated, and crossed the portal, entering it, but also exiting it and entering the storage area moments later.

She returned with two wooden swords, one roughly representing a longsword and one a yatagan, as well as a wooden training dagger; she passed the longsword to her templar and caught her sword's model one-handedly, with the training dagger on her other hand. "Bring it on" she smirked, and soon after adopted a battle stance.

He entered the entertainment room and looked about the spacious room already feeling right at home in this room. He had always frequented the training halls of the fortress back home and it was good to have a place now in his living space as well. He waited until Kyori returned, handing him the larger longsword like wooden sword, He held it deftly, familarizing himself with the weight of this particular sword.

Seruxis gave it a few practice swings to establish that weight even further before taking his own battle stance. Already he could hear the years of training kicking in as a buzz of instructions to fighting and he quickly noted the weapons she used for combat. At the simple words, fighting words ones could call them, he smirked, "if you insist," and he brought his sword around to the front before charging Kyori.

The room was spacy, with furniture implying it was not intended jhust for physical activity but also reading, studying, or even simply playing. Although Kyori never had many visitors, her apartments were neatly organised to accommodate at least six persons, and the two large, identical, spacy bedrooms were enough to let all six spend at least one night if need be, though, obviously, they best fit two or four instead.

Kyori adopted a combat stance with her wooden weapons, and waited for Seruxis to make the first move.

As the charge with the heavy two-handed weapon came, Kyori used her dagger to block the blow, though the strength of the tall, muscular male made the blow very powerful. At the same time, she lowered her main weapon and aimed for his ribs, seeking to exploit the opening. Two different fighting styles, with totally different individuals who held totally different weapons. How would they manage to harmonise them?

It took years to learn how to manage with the slower speed of a two handed weapon. It took hard one battles to learn a few tricks to keep yourself alive. He brought the blow down harshly intending to jar her arm, he was pleased to see that she held the blow. She even retaliated and out of the corner of his eye he could see the dagger coming int towards his ribs. He brought the blade down and around in a circle breaking free of the parry back peddling away from the hit feeling the air from it.

He reversed his weight and threw it into another attack at Kyori savagely. The best defense was good offenses he always believed. It was always better to end the fight quickly before you grow tired and allow the strokes to get even slower and more prone to get hit. Here style was faster then his own, a compliment to his powerful hits that relied on his plate armor to provide sufficent defense.

He backed up and regained his pose ready for the next bout.

"Not bad" Kyori told him as he avoided her attack, and attacked on his own. She narrowly dodged the blow, letting the swing that would otherwise hit her neck pass right next to her, before she huged his blade with her elbow and hit his hands with the grip of her yatagan. She let her dagger fall and kicked it away, taking a risk as she used her now free left hand to try and steal his own weapon from him.

"Brute force alone won't help you" she said, and as soon as her free hand had a firm hold on the weapon, he hit his hands again and pulled her entire body away, trying to snatch the weapon along with her.

He went with her weight moving to slam his shoulder into her keeping his grip tight on his sword. He rolled the sword and brought the sword up in an attemp to knock her back. She was good and it was clear she wasn't some greenhorn who didn't have a lick of experience to her name. That was a plus that was for sure. He wouldn't have to worry so much about focusing on protecting her knowing she could handle herself in a battle.

"You fight well," he commented with a smile showing that he approved of her skills.

Exploiting the large size of the sword, as Seruxis thrust his longswords upwards, she let it go and slammed him with her body, denying him the room to wield it effectively and swing it against her. She then made a sharp turn around him, not waiting to have the wooden blade at the back of her neck, and slammed her elbow against the drowussu's back with moderate force, moving right behind the bulkier opponent she was facing.

"Rusty but good" Kyori smiled at him as she darted further behind him and made a sharp turn to face him again. In the meanwhile, her yatagan was directed straight at his shoulder, in a powerful swing that, with an actual weapon, would cleave deep in the flesh of a poorly armoured opponent. If that did not work either she would be forced to somehow attain her dagger once again.

She waas good, but he wasn't just going to leave his range to just taht of his blade, He let go of the sword with one hand and pivoted using the gauntlet as a block to the weapon and brought the sword closly afterward moving back away from her quickly. He was starting to get a hang of her style a bit now. It was a much faster style that was for sure.

He felt the slight brusing of the armor hitting against his back but he pushed it aside. In battle one had to ignore such small discomforts in order to finish the battle. He came again at her sword leading low in a powerful thrust.

A strong, quick thrust was directed lowly towards her, with Kyori only able to evade it because it was not an area swing that could have pretty much cut her legs if this was a real battle. But instead of withdrawing further, she used the opportunity of his slow strike to come in and swing her shorter yatagan against his neck, one of the weaker areas of a full plate armour.

As her blow landed, expecting it to be dodge, she continued bringing her body down, almost effectively kneeling in the end. The warden then darted forward towards the armoured opponent's legs, aiming to hug both of them and force him prone. Considering he was in full plate, she could either seek to tire him, or try and take him out with lucky blows her yatagan could not deal easily thanks to its intended application and considerably shorter length when it came to the gigantic weapon she was facing.

The hit to his neck nearly hit nipping the top of the collar but the hit to his legs cuaght him totally off balance and like a tree begin to topple foward, the pull of gravity coupled with the weight of his armor brought him down harder. He attempted not to crush Kyori by trying to catch himself on knee coming forward to brace against the floor. In the end however he did hit and rolled to the side his sword arm being sent wide leaving his chest open unpon the contact.

quickly he rolled to his feet panting a bit from moving around in the heavy plate armor but set on proving himself to his new partner and wasn't about to give in.

Kyori had managed to trip her opponent after all. The problem was, however, that he fell on her, not before her, and despite the brief rolling, the combination of a giant and plate armour were rather painful.

Aching from the incident, she grabbed her sword again and hastily stood up, trying to catch her enemy prone; she jumped straight at him, aiming to pin his armed hand with her body while shove her wooden blade inside the armour or something. If she still had her dagger it could all be over, but it was a fair distance away from her, it was out of question now.

She put all the pressure she could on Seruxis' right elbow, and her hands then moved to snatch the templar's sword away from his hand. If that succeeded she would have a painful blunt weapon in the form of its heavy pommel.
