It took me one morning to compile the first post (I went through my favourites, my favourites on DA, and my DA watch list). There was also some link hopping from people's journals. The art resources links section was a lot cooler before the power outage knocked out what I was collecting. ^^;; Enmax has been evil lately! We've had two power outages in the past week.

I'm working on the webcomics list now. That one is taking a while because I'm trying to read all the webcomics I list, to make sure the quality is alright. XD

Recommended reading: for you artists who would like a decent insight into the thought process that goes on in the mind of a professional artist while drawing, go to:

http://www.merekatcreations.com/

Click 'tutorial', read "Art Process Boot Camp - Bring a helmet". If you get through the entire thing, you'd be glad you did it. It makes some very excellent points about the importance of reference, research, planning, and why the tree is where it is (composition). Go! Go!

That site also has some other excellent readings. Check it out!

Oh oh! They're in alphabetical order. Also, you can hit CTRL+F, type in the name, and see if I already have it in there. I think I'll add a note for that.

Okay, I'll raid my Dev Watch list and compare it to your list. But that'll be for tomorrow.

My favorite fantasy art site: it's the online gallery of Samwise Didier, Chris Metzen and the other Blizzard concept artists; very badass!

CG Talk is an ABSOLUTE GO for tutorials and inspiration.

http://forums.cgsociety.org.

This forum is not made for amature artists. PLEASE don't treat this forum by posting random works you did because this is a HIGHLY respected forum among 3D and 2D artists. You can sign up for free and ask for help but i recommend you do that AFTER you've gotten help from us artists here, DA, or SA, or wherever else you go. Not trying to be rude but once you see how this forum is...you'll understand. This is HEAVEN. Please check out the tutorials they have and advice these REAL PROS give. The people on this site work for Major Companies. They know what they're doing.

Also, the 2D galleries are all digitally done. Few are tradition, it's very rare to find them as this forum focuses on the digital mediums.

AGAIN PLEASE TREAT THIS FORUM WITH UPMOST RESPECT!!!!

Ahh, I love that site. <3 It's like, the ultimate art forum site. I find like half of my favourite artists on there, it's brilliant. Unfortunately it means I'm not posting my trash there, ever, but it's great to goggle at other people's stuff. xD

I love their competitions. *__*

Artists like those serve as constant reminders of just how much I suck.
