Command & Conquer 3: Hypothetical Drowtales Mod

Command & Conquer 3: Hypothetical Drowtales Mod

Postby Obsidian Agent » Sat Apr 30, 2016 3:53 pm

Alright, so, this hypothetical mod would be based off of the Drowtales/Command & Conquer crossover RP "Destructible Times". Well, loosely. It'd follow the same basic events, but would be an alternate timeline. Basically, it was "Earth Age", just not our Earth, but Earth in the Command & Conquer: Tiberium Series universe. Now, aside from GDI, Nod, the Scrin, and (of course), the Drow, the mod will also have the Forgotten and CABAL as playable factions. Most of the Forgotten's units come from game mods - since the only canon unit they have in C&C 3 is the Mutant Marauder squad - and CABAL's all come from "Tiberian Sun". Units from "Kane's Wrath" will also be appearing here.

Now, as to how the Drow showed up on Earth, well, C&C already has an answer. You see, Red Alert 1 (and its expansion packs) are canon in the Tiberium universe. The World War II in this universe was the one caused by Albert Einstein secretly going back in time to 1924 and assassinating Hitler before he could come to power, but unwittingly paving the way for Stalin to take the Soviet Union to new heights and become the aggressor in an even bloodier World War II that lasted from 1947 to 1953. When Einstein used the Chronosphere to go back, he unwittingly caused another rift to open up in the future. One which brought the Drow to Earth in 2030, shortly before the events of "Tiberian Sun".

(However, going by several hints, such as the existence of the U.N. even during Red Alert 1, and that Nod tried to paint GDI as a "fascist regime", we know that Mussolini came to power in this timeline too, and probably stirred up some trouble in a series of conflicts that (in this universe) are known as the Mussolinic Wars, which lasted from 1935 to 1943, and saw the League of Nations dissolved and replaced with the United Nations (Seriously, this is the only way to make sense of this). It was also the Soviets who invented the nuke in this timeline, although the Allies eventually got their hands on it as well.)

Now, as to how the Drow could hope to compete with the other factions (at least, in local conflicts - in a large-scale war, they'd certainly lose), well, the answer is there too! Tiberium. Tiberium would be able to store mana much more efficiently than other substances, allowing for the big, Balvhakara crab golems to be able to go toe-to-toe with Mammoth Tanks, Juggernauts, Avatars, Annihilator Tripods, and similar units. Drow would still be poisoned by direct exposure to Tiberium, though, and would need Harvester golems to mine it.

I haven't really figured out the names and descriptions for most of the units but here's my list. I'll add more content later. Maybe some buildings in fortifications. The drow are going to use conventional factories, right?
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Balvhakara Units:
- Infantry:
Mana riflewomen Squad
Cannon Squad
Foci grenadiers(normal foci not Tiberium foci)
Engineer
Mana Sniper team
Melter-This solder use her metal sorcery to disable weaken and even destroy most
metallic structures and equipment.
Assassin - The clans equivalent of a commando.

- Vehicles:
Hover-golem
Crab golem
Colector golem
Rooster-a heavily modified Illhar’dro siege Golem
Factory golem- Drow equivalent of a MCV
Artillery golem-Fires a metal projectile a extremely high speed like a railgun but it uses mana instead of electricity.
Battle carriage-a sort of hover APC.

- Aircraft:
Firefly-Unmanned reconnaissance golem.
Skyshark- Amphibious/VTOL attack craft.

- Superweapon:
Mist bomb- It's not really a bomb in a conventional sense, but a metal sphere that has concentrated missed inside of it. Its launch from a mortar golem and uses a timer to release a large amount of energy before it hits the ground.

- Epic Unit:
Queen crab.-On dry land this hermit haven't been crab shaped Gollum is weak against other "epics" on dry land. However once it's in water it becomes a Navy's worst nightmare due to its maneuverability underwater and it's tremendous firepower.

What units would set up for the drow clans Obsidian?
