Chapter 54 : page 94

Chapter 54 : page 94

Postby Kern » Wed Jul 25, 2018 7:45 am

They expected a war between their two enemies. They will be sorely disappointed.
Can't be further raid, mayhem and trail of destruction if they were just let in. That also imply a certain fate to any raider found on the way. Instead they find themselves surrounded on an island with no means to escape and their only airborne allies decimated. So yeah, fun time. And finally this chapter enters its last arc now that the legion is here.

... The chapter enters the last Arc?

Isn't this meant to be the last chapter full stop?

... So our main characters are trapoed with no escape, their airborne allies decimated. The Highland Raiders potentially annihilated... And we still haven't seen any sign of very major players like Chrys or Keil. Or Mel & Zhor. Or good old Shinae. Or how about Ariel's demon sucking sister who transformed into a demon queen last time we checked? Hell what about Diva and her remaining daughters for that matter!

This.... can't be the final chapter of Drowtales, can it?

So that was the whole of the plan? A gamble on having two enemy forces fighting each others, knowing the Banana and the Nids in Ys were the very one informing the wolfpack of the coming legion?

WHAT THE F.... IS THIS????????

Where is the mastermind plan? The bold but genius grand strategy?

They are SURPRISED the legion and the feldian are allying? NO SHIT!!!!!

Sorry pals, but at this level of amateurism, the wolfpack indeed deserve to be defeated. There is no cure for being stupid. *upset*

Ariel's only hope right now is to use Snad's supergate, but with the loss of the Demon Nurses, and having no summoners on her side, she has no idea how.

Sang, where's all that outrage you showed for the loss of your limbs? Why are you willingly siding with the people who took them? What possible promises could they have made you that makes you think they'd actually keep them?

This is a dark, dark day for the Sarghress.

Szord, Diva had Sang turned into second base. Diva. Assuming anyone knows Snadhya is alive, Snadhya is directly responsible for the destruction of the Sharen and Diva's murder so why wouldnt Sang be ok with her? Assuming no one knows Snadhya is alive, well its the same shit different sister, as Zala was even more proactive in wiping out her own Clan. And thats assuming Sang wasnt always Nidraa -Quain after all wasnt exactly doing anything about the Sharen besides threatening them until the Nidraa war, yeah?

Surprised? Not really.

Some theories have lowered likelihood, others increased.

More Likely:
- Sang is full Nid.
- Sang suffers from Stockholm Syndrome.
- Sang has been plotting a takeover for ages, and used Suu'be as a cat's paw.

Less Likely:
- Virtually any scenario that involves Sang willing to capitulate to Ariel, ever.

Last arc of the chapter, or last arc of the story?

Maybe a little song to end the arc on?

Welcome to the real world, Neo.

The Legion is not working FOR Felde (or Snadhya).
The Feldians are not working FOR Snadhya (or Nidraa'chal).

They are in the Alliance, and like almost all other major clans in Chel, working towards the mutual goals.
And currently, their goal is to stop the rebellious (Ariel's gang) and hostile (mimians) elements and to protect ALLIANCE property from further raids.

The political scene in Chel has changed greatly, and its up to Ariel to decide what place in the new situation she will occupy.

The war is over (if you want it)

Are you *joking*?

Felde is Snadhya's base, with her giant gate and demon nurses, Nids protecting it. And from what we know from Kyo'nne, (when she had no reasons to lie), the Aliance in Snadhya's puppet. The situation in Chel has changed, but greatly in Snadhya's favor.

If Ariel agrees to do what you want, it's most probably game over, Snadhya wins. Not to mention, Sang would possibly kill Ariel, or she would be captured and imprissoned, and a lot of her friends would be killed, rather than given a political position.

And with this situation, Sang and Legion contributed majorly for Snadhya's getting to this much power, or at least keeping it, as I and others wrote before:
Nothingness wrote:Not really - there is a number of people against the Snadhya, and the Alliance she leads.

And Sarghress together with those as allies, could be strong enough to prevail or even win.

Especially that the Sarghress fully walking out of the alliance, and proclaiming it's corruption, would most probably cause at least some of the other clans do the same. And this would weaken the Alliance, and provide further allies for the (hypothetically then) united Sarghress.

And in such situation, the Alliance would much be probably less eager to go into a conflict.

Snadhya knows this, this is why she manipulated Sang to fight Ariel allied Sarghress, after Ariel refused to be her puppet.

Moric wrote:I doubt that there are many clans outside the Nidraa'chal, Nal'sarkoth, and the Jaal'darya that would gladly throw themselves upon Sarghress spears for Snadhya's sake.

And about defending Sang's decision, as technicaly Quain allied with the Sharen...:
Nothingness wrote:
I think even less people remember Quain clearly wanted Ariel to be seen as succesor/be her succeesor and next ll'haress of the Sarghress clan, did so so fully out of her own will, and it was in comparison fully her decision. And Kel - one of Quain's most trusted advisors, son, and one of the couple people Quain' trully respected - is on Ariel's side.

Quain also never wanted the Alliance with Sharen to ever cause a divide in Sarghress, with part of the clan essentiallly working for the Sharen to fight/hunt the rest of the clan, especially to the point her chosen heir would be hunted (fairly certainly with the intention to kill).

So you cannot (logically at least) claim Sang really follows here Quain's will. If Sang thinks so, she is delusional.Very if that's the case.

Nothingness wrote:
I also think Sang majorly diserpects Quain's (her close friends) memory, friendship, and help she given her by hunting Ariel such way. Again, Quain, wanted Ariel to be her succesor, and despite her rought attitude, it's visible Quain ultimatelly grew to love Ariel as her daughter.

At the very least Sang could just do nothing to help Ariel, and refuse to help her, if she doesn't think she is a good leader, not try to kill her, and oblierate her alies - including Kel, another of few the people Quain trully cared about, and probably even lesser number she actually respected and heared advice of, and Ash, who was Quain's lover.

A "true wolf" doesn't betray their loyality like this, even towards a deceased leader and close friend, nor does a "true Sarghress".
