The mega-nurse smashed the stones.
Smokehammer wrote:If the dissolving nurses arent completely defunct, why wouldnt they start attempting to chew on the Fae beings that arent tainted if theyre nomming a mana shield?
The free demons eating the mana shield are either calamari leftovers or freed nether from the collapsing mega-nurse. In regards to demon targeting, shields have a greater mana concentration than the drow forming it, so they draw demons more readily.
Smokehammer wrote:If the huge gate Ariel and Co are presumably using to summon them is still functioning and producing more nurses, why arent they stopping the ones eating the shield since theyre now becoming a threat?
Next, the gate can't produce corporeal nurses without host bodies. As such, the mega-gate must not have been used, but rather she asked the nurses to protect the tower from the unauthorized gate.
Smokehammer wrote:Why arent they stopping the conflict period? Shouldnt the Nidraa be able to ask for help even more readily than random guests?
The nurses would have happily assisted the Feldian forces, but they didn't ask. Also, after the gate was demolished, there wasn't much time before they started to come apart. Lastly, Ariel had activated her blue class secure access key.

Detection based on the Inverse-Square Law? Demons prioritize proximity?
