Chapter 54 : page 67

Chapter 54 : page 67

A staircase up to hell, or at least a form of it. And beyond, their nemesis awaits.
Or at least Banana claim it is, but then banana alleigance is questionable. Faen doesn't like it and they're not there to hunt Snadhya anyways even though that's what Ash wishes to do. They all want a piece of Snad for revenge.

I wouldn't call Bae a traitor yet... just somone who is still weighing her options. ;)

I suspect however that she'd have better chances of survival if she sticks with the wolf's team, rather than with Snad, who might not be in a forgiving mood these days.

Of course, Snad doesn't have many toys left, so she might still want Bae back, but the latter might regret that generosity...

Tainting chambers... Snad... Ariel... OH! OH NO! Not Ariel too!

Bae... yeah, better to stick with the wolf-squad than go back to Snad. Remember, Snad kills people who fail her so often, Faen was able to enhance her claim that she's Snad's envoy by stabbing one of the Ys council in the gut. Even if Snad is feeling "charitable", the price for that "kindness" is going to be mighty steep. Perhaps being a test subject for Snad's latest WMD experiment?

Just means we will see Ariel evolve to SSJ-shadow form, where her power level is over 8,999.

Wasn't Ariel kind of imune to tainting, or something like that? I remember reading it somewhere, plus there is this episode in chapter 46 which tends to show she has at least some resistance to nether influence.

Getting the extremities of one's aura bitten by passing nether isn't the same as a direct hit to the core of one's aura. Where that ethereal core is located seems to vary however. Does mana-sight help in that regard, or is it more of a random chance? Who knows?

A squad sent to deal with a demon tainting chamber. They better bring their Kyorls.

Something's interesting: Bae is vocally surprised by the paucity of ...err-friendly casualties in this surprise assault. This can be explained by the following:
- As Bae has witnessed the effectiveness of the Wolfpack's attacks before, perhaps she had overestimated her former side's ability to defend themselves.
- Perhaps Snadhya's paranoid need for control has hamstrung the tower's defensive capability without her, moreso than predicted.
- It's a trap!
- Snadhya'rune's troops caught a case of Stormtrooper-itis.

Empathy goes through walls, so it's best to keep them in the rear.
