Next time someone pull up the good old "This doesn't make sense in a medieval setting" for Moonless age, a story that has been having giant machines, canons, ipads(before it existed), powered armors, bio-engineering and so forth from the very first chapter. Just use that demotivational style picture and fill in the text.

Please, he'd have a motor-crawler. When's the last time you saw a modern drow device with wheels instead of legs (there's a wagon somewhere in chapter 13ish I believe, that's it from what I could find)
